Franklin is fortunate to have this wonderful locally owned business where the staff is always friendly and knowledgeable and the owner himself is on the floor to greet and help customers. My go to for keys, doorknobs, paint, tools, and more. Ace is truly the helpful place!

I walked in and was immediately greeted by a friendly young man who looked happy to be at work (no sarcasm). I told him what I was looking for, expecting him to point to it, but instead he said follow me and walked me to the filters helped me find the size and explained the difference in the two brands. The young lady that checked me out was also friendly and efficient. I am writing this bc I walked in the big box for the same thing last night and not one associate spoke to me or offered to assist the entire process even had to self checkout. Shop local folks

Ace is the place because they have many hardware items that you can't find in the big box stores. The employees are more knowledgeable and helpful. It is locally-owned!

We shop here when my husband needs jeans or work pants. Their Carhartt selection is larger than any other store around.

Clean, with friendly staff but it also seems sterile compared to other ace harwares that have a more earm, welcoming entrance.

When you walk in there is always someone that wants to help you find what you need. The direct opposite of the Lowes down the street where nobody wants to help you

I'm always in and out because there is always someone who can point you directly to what you're looking for, even when you have no idea what you're looking for. Same great customer service my dad received when I was a kid back when this store was located at 115 2nd Ave (back in the day). Great hometown customer service! Franklin, lets keep this hometown business thriving and open!

We are always able to get heaters at our local Ace Hardware in Franklin Virginia .
This is a family owned Ace and I get work clothes boots and any equipment needed to keep me comfortable in weather where staying warm is a must.

I don't know what it is about hardware stores that I love but Ace Hardware has everything and I mean everything. The benefit of visiting Ace instead of Lowe's is that it's a smaller space. Seems as though everything's in arms reach. Lol!!

Today is the 9th of Jan. 2025. I ordered two HVAC filters and went to pick up about noon. When I came in I told the cashier I was there to pick up an online order. She just looked at me and pulled out her phone. She asked my name and brought up my order. She told me I had 1 filter. I said, no, ordered and paid for 2. I showed her my phone to confirm, then she told me her phone only had 1. She went to the back and bought out the 2 filters I ordered. It seemed as if I was a bother to her. Not very good customer service today

Great local hardware type store to find the things you don't know you needed. Complete line of Yeti coolers and Red Wing boots, as well as Carhartt outdoor gear. Great selection of hard to find tools, and plenty of plumbing and electrical supplies.

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
