George has taken care of us for the past 10 years!! He does it all!! The amount of soot that comes out is truly amazing each year! I feel so much better knowing the next burning season that I am 100% ready to go! He also was able to spot a problem while on our roof, checking out the chimney, that saved us big time! Not at all near the chimney, he spotted some shingles that were not seated properly, when we went inside the house near the spot we saw a very small wet spot in our ceiling in our bathroom! Bowman Chimney Sweep did a fabulous job today repairing a cracked chimney and installing a great wood burning insert. George did a comprehensive check and where two other chimney sweep companies in the area said this fireplace couldn’t be fixed Bowman Chimney Sweep did! They are the best!

Another great service call from Bowen's. He has been cleaning our chimney for years so I was glad to see that he also does dryer vent cleaning. He showed up on skedual and cleaned the vent and readjusted the piping to improve the airflow. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, 10/10 do not recommend. I had a survey done for an estimate, then was told I’d have an estimate within 48 hours. During the survey things seemed great and I felt good about it. This was on 12/21/23. Although the estimate was not provided on that timeline, with the holidays, I figured no big deal.

Then I sent numerous emails/texts after the new year, and even got Mr. Bowen on the phone at one point, who said he thought he had sent me the estimate. Which I never received. He then confirmed it had in fact NOT been sent and said he would send it over. As of 1/9/2024 I still have received no estimate nor have I received any further communication from them although I’ve tried every medium available. Poor way to do business. Will be filing complaint with better business bureau, since several other would-be customers had the same experience

Can’t recommend them enough. George came out 2 weeks ago, for a consult/inspection. Walked me through, with pictures, what needed to be done and why. Came out today for the service. Quick and efficient, at a great price. Explained, with photos, what was done.

I've been using Bowen's for several years, he has always been honest and forthright. He has never tried to milk us for unnecessary repairs or work. A previous company told us we needed significant repairs on a newly install chimney. Bowen's gave me an honest 2nd opinion and have used he ever since.

Bowmen’s Chimney Sweep always does a great job. George installed our wood stove years ago and we’ve been using him ever since.

The quality of work is the best. I had used them two previous years. But to get them to come out is another story. I had made four calls to arrange an appointment, and on the last call (fifth call) he said they would be out Thursday (May 4) between 9:00 and 10:00. I have insomnia and forced myself to get out of bed to open my gate, while I craved sleep. Work is fantastic, but to get them to understand customer service is an impossibility.

Worst Company ever quotes one thing on the phone and does another. STAY AWAY! After not answering the phone for a month, they come 3 hours early for the scheduled chimney cleaning. I have two of them. They look at the top one, say let m see the bottom one. Tell me the bottom one is broken, goes to the truck and gives me an invoice for 178. No cleaning. I paid them 180 for nothing. I dont know why honestly Im too nice. these people have scam business practices STAY AWAY. Where is my change? Keep it Scam.

I scheduled an appointment for a chimney inspection and cleaning, provided everything that was requested (everything was done via email) and two weeks later on the appointment date, no one showed up. I tried to call and email to figure out what the delay was but there was no answer via phone and so far no email response. I am extremely disappointed with this company. I would have at least liked to have received some kind of call or email notifying me that they unilaterally cancelled the appointment so I wasn't just sitting around waiting for them all morning.

We have had mixed results with this place. Sometimes they can be responsive and many times not. We have had them do cleaning on and off for some years. Mr. Bowen did an alright job with most of the cleaning in the past but sort of a sloppy job with the repair but it did seem to work. On several occasions I would come home or stay home from work only to have an appointment cancelled. The final straw was when after my wife had him clean our chimney and did an inspection; he was supposed to send us a receipt and send us an estimate of the work to be done. My wife and I tried for over a month to get him to send a receipt and an estimate by calling and e-mailing ----- but nothing. He lost a $500 to $600 project and any future business from us.

I called George to have an inspection done on a chimney. He was responsive and called me back to schedule it for that same week:) He was very fair on pricing, did a great inspection with photos and explained all the defects found. He emailed the report that evening with the repair estimate. He was professional and I would definitely recommend him for a chimney inspection and would use him for repairs as well.

Response time to calls, obtaining quotes, setting up the service visit needs improving, but once you get George on-site, he is great. We bought a home with a pellet stove that wasn't working. During the first visit, George identified the problem (clogged chimney) and performed a temporary fix. He also took the time to provide guidance on how to operate the pellet stove to get the most satisfaction from the stove and what to look for when buying wood pellets. Our home inspector had warned us that he didn't think the chimney was properly installed and George confirmed that the chimney did not meet code and should be replaced. George and his assistant arrived right at the scheduled time for the chimney replacement and annual service on the stove. The new chimney looks good and they left the work areas both inside and outside the house clean.

I've been trying to schedule an inspection of over 9 months. I leave voicemail and never get called back. I recently used their website messaging system and still no phone call or email.
Today I called and got someone on the phone. She answered the phone sounding kind of rude and I said I would like to schedule an inspection. Her response was "We're about a month out now". Huh? How about sure! but we are a bit behind at the moment. Her response sounded like "We are busy and don't want your business". Don't get me wrong, they probably do great work IF you can ever schedule an appointment. Very disappointed as they were recommended by one of my good friends.

So glad I called Bowen's for a second opinion on my detached exterior 3rd floor chimney pipe (wood burning). They were able to fully repair it to working order for the cost of labor- whereas the company I called first tried to hard sell us into an entirely new system. There was no upselling, and the work was completed on schedule despite in-climate weather. I would recommend Bowen's to anyone needing chimney services. The receptionist is not always in the office during business hours, but they will call back if you leave a message.

I had the company come out a couple of years ago and my apologizes for writing a review so late however, I keep thinking about the poor service I received. The owner of the company came out to my house, fixed a few cracks on the top of my house, charged me 500.00 and said he would be back to work on the rest of the fireplace. When I called to make another appointment, the lady told me she needs to talk to the owner and would call me back. She never called to make another appointment. I attempted to contact someone at the company at no luck.

Well, I needed a stove installed and I had Bowen's come out in mid September and give me an estimate. I was pleased with the price and they seemed great so I accepted the estimate. I was told I would receive a call in about 2-3 weeks to set up a date for the work. After 2 weeks, I called Bowens and spoke to a female, she informed me she would ask her husband about a date and call me back. I never got a call back. I called them several times in the next two weeks and no joke, they never called back. I am super upset with the blatant disregard for their customers.

George was amazing,, made a appt, showed up on time,, quickly solved the problem,, I can sense he has years of experience. His price was very very reasonable.. ,, I already gave him second upcoming job,, I highly recommend Bowens,!!

Just had our chimneys inspected and cleaned by Bowen's Chimney Sweep, LLC. We were given a 9-12 window, and he was there by 10- so nice to have a service actually show up within the window they give you! He was incredibly thorough, and fast! Only one of our chimneys actually needed cleaning, but he check them all (from inside the house and from up on the roof), and actually gave me a helpful reference for a local guy to check out our gas inserts for our other fireplaces. Very nice, very Effecient, and somehow managed to control all that soot and ash! No cleanup needed on my part! Will definitely be using again!

Mr Bowen was prompt and extremely friendly. He was reasonably priced was very easy to do business with. I have more work to be completed on my chimney and plan to use him again. I would highly recommend Bowen Chimney Sweep again and again.

I cannot begin to express how awesome Bowen's is. Mr. Bowen came out and was very honest and thorough in his work. Regrettably, there are many ploys in this industry; Mr. Bowen is an honest man; I can't recommend him strongly enough.

I was very satisfied with George Bowen and his service. I found him to be responsive to all of my e-mail queries. I was having a wood stove insert installed, to included an insulated chimney liner into an existing masonry hearth/chimney. George offered me the best price, and was the most responsive sweep that I spoke to. He came over to do an estimate when he said he would, and came over to complete the work when he said he would. Overall I am very satisfied with both the work completed and the price. I would feel comfortable recommending George as well as having him complete more work for me if required.

Got my chimney inspected:
Showed up early and was extremely professional and friendly. He also ended up helping out and caping an extra line that was missed from a prior service from a different contractor.

Excellent service. Everyone I dealt with was polite and professional. Service was thorough, quick and clean. There is no need to look for another chimney sweep.

Understandably, I had to wait 2 weeks to get an appointment because it is fall and their busiest season. So unless you call them in the summer time, do not expect to get next day service. They were in and out in about 40 minutes. Very clean and thorough in their inspection. Will definitely use them again next year.

Have used Bowen's Chimney Sweep exclusively now for several years. Recommended him to several satisfied customers. Used other services long ago who tried hard to get money for unnecessary or poor repairs. George Bowen is a craftsman, not just a chimney sweep. I have seen many of the complicated jobs he has performed. He lined my 40 foot+ tall stone chimney and ran video to show me what was broken before the job was done. The other "professional" who looked at the work required a manlift or scaffolding. George just walked up the roof like a pro. After all, HE IS A PRO :)
