Recently my wife and I had to find someone to fix the front patio steps at our home that was destroyed over the winter. We met with Adam from Family Home Improvement who came out and gave an estimate. We agreed to use Family Home Improvement and I must say we are very happy with the work that was done. They were very helpful in making recommendations . The work was very neat and clean . I would recommend their services.

Commissioned Family Home Improvement to repair a roof balcony and install new parameter fence. John came on time and was very professional throughout the project. A bit nickeling and diming in the midst of things but nothing crazy. The project completed on time and everything was done. However, the fence gate door snapped during a high wind day. It was windy but nothing historical or record breaking gusts. They refused to come fix the 2 months old gate and said it was an act of God event. Tried to charge me another grand just to fix it. I ended up re-enforcing the gate door myself with steel angle brackets. for a hundred. During the repair process I noticed they installed the door in the wrong direction thus producing too much drag on the center. I messaged John with the finding but no response from that since. I would say use them if you are very familiar with home improvement work as they need to be monitored. Make sure warranty wording is correct or else.

Family Home Improvement is my go to place for all my home renovations since 2021. John and his staff give exceptional customer service. I have always been extremely happy with their work. I am looking forward to many more projects that will be beginning this Spring. They are highly recommended.

Adam and his team were amazing to work with from start to finish on a kitchen renovation. He was incredibly professional, communicative, and transparent, from pricing to estimated timeline to potential issues and ways to solution. He kept in touch with us practically daily to discuss progress, design choices, and finished at the timeline communicated, with the results being exactly as we discussed and envisioned. I have had two bathrooms completely renovated and a large bedroom painted and every worker was professional and answered all my questions and provided alternate solutions. They always arrived on time and cleaned up work area daily. The finished product was better than I imagined.

Family home improvement completed a professional job on our kitchen countertop, backsplash and vented stove hood. They were receptive to our concerns and responded promptly to necessary details.

Had a shower door shatter due to shoddy workmanship of a handyman we used previously. Worked with John who was able to find a set of stock doors and matched up the granite as well. The job was done in a matter of a few days . Easy to work with, reasonably priced and left the space the cleaner than they found it!

One a side note I cannot emphasize enough the cleanliness aspect. The handyman I had in just a couple of weeks earlier left all the boxes and garbage by the curb to be picked up, and the storm door that he replaced I found a week later in my back yard. John actually too some of the garbage with him when he came to estimate the job. I highly recommend Family Home Improvement and look forward to working with them again!

In short this company's work was exemplary. From top to bottom everyone at this company is professional and does what they say they will do as promised. The crew was on time everyday and did a fantastic job.

I had a tree come down on the side of the house and the roof was in desperate need of repair. John responded quickly and stopped by numerous times to ensure that the communication and details were worked out so the large job would run smoothly. After tireless work put in by the roofing/carpentry team, the home came out looking fabulous. Months later, when I had a question about one aspect of the project the owner Jan and John came by to discuss solutions and options to handle the exterior of the home moving forward. The experience was great and I am very happy I went with Family Home Improvement!

The contract was for a complete kitchen renovation, we ended up with a job that took10 weeks longer than planned and a mostly useless kitchen. Design was a complete fail. Glass cabinet door opens into the metal hood of the stove. I have an extra large corner cabinet with a 3" opening because again it was designed to open into the stove. After a lengthy discussion about how to lay the floor tiles, it was done backwards. Workers were professional and hardworking but they were given VERY bad instructions and even they didn't understand why they were being told to do things the way they were. We paid for their expertise and experience and we got a the disastrous, disappointing expensive poor flawed job. We even had our new appliances damaged while the work was going on. The " professional" designer failed in every manner from layout and measurements to simple obvious practical things like cabinets so narrow and deep I can only reach the back with a stick. To say that this was the worst mistake we ever made is an understatement. I would caution anyone to avoid trusting this company at their word. Verbal agreements were not honored and cheap shortcuts were made. Terrible, horrible, disappointing renovation. I wish we never heard of this business or contracted with them.

I had known the owner Jan for over ten years when I contracted him to remodel three of our bathrooms in our split level. One was a total remodel and it came out wonderful and ahead of tight schedule I gave them. Their crews were professional, respectful of property and diligent in their work. Jan and his team leader Adam were on the job site daily to ensure work was being done properly and they honored their commitments. I would highly recommend them especially to people like me that don’t generally like dealing with contractors who promise a lot and under deliver. We are already planning our next project with them in the Spring.

We had a pleasant experience through the entire renovation. John came first did a very detailed survey and gave us the cost before he left. In a few days George started the work with his team. They worked very neat and hard full day for 3 days. Now the front of our house has a beautiful new look. Their work even received a few compliments from the neighbors.

They did a great job replacing all of my windows in under two days. Quality windows for a quality price. They came prepared with blankets to cover my furniture and floors and left my house with little to no debris or marks. I highly recommend. We did our home renovation with Family Home Improvements, which included a new bathroom, re- flooring, new windows, and several construction projects. They were super-attentive to our specific needs. Added a finished 27' x 13' permanent shingled roof Awning over my patio.

My Awning was built using three teams: Framers, Siding, and Rain gutters. I provided my own electrician.

The first order of business was the removal of a 20' x 13' electric roll-out awning.

The Framers arrived on-time on the day promised. Completed the framing and roofing in 2 1/2 days allowing the electrician to rough-in the wiring and junction boxes for 6 led high-hats and two ceiling fans.

After the Electric rough-in, the Siding team went to work (arrived when promised and on-time). They Sided the new structure and repaired/replace areas resulting from the electric awning removal. They were done in 2 1/2 days, which included unexpected work since the column wrapping would not be available for 4 - 8 weeks. They built what I wanted, at no additional cost, beautifully. While the siding team was completing their work, the Rain gutter team arrived and completed their tasks in a few hours.

I am now waiting for my electrician to return and install the lighting and hang the fans.

FYI - all of the teams cleaned up daily. In my judgement, they enjoyed working together and were efficient and cohesive. The supervision was excellent and the company owner showed up to verify the progress and my satisfaction and happiness. Jan (the Owner), takes great pride in his people, work, and company.

Absolutely amazing contractor. My wife and I purchased our first house and knew nothing about houses so naturally we made tons of mistakes. Jan (the owner) has been a relief in helping navigate not only all of the work we need to do with him but also with others. Very fair pricing, great work, and amazing people. Wow great company, I love my new beautiful kitchen. From the moment they came over to give us an estimate to the final walk through to make sure I was happy with everything they did. They’re a top notch A1 company.
John and John jr came over one night to talk to us about what we wanted to get done and we knew from there they were the company for us. Their price was very reasonable compared to the amount of work we needed to get done. some companies where almost double the price for the same quality cabinets, counters and flooring. The work took almost exactly as long as they said it would and at the end of everyday Anthony (the head carpenter) would make sure we knew what was happening the following day and if we had any questions or concerns. John jr the salesman and project manager was always a phone call away or in some cases a few minutes away if I needed him or had any questions. Maria the finance manager was very nice and eager to help facilitate financing for us that they offered. We were so impressed with everything start to finish we already contracted with them to do our bathroom in March. Can’t wait for them to exceed our expectations again. We LOVE family home improvement!!!

I became aware of Family Home Improvement through a friend. When I called the company and spoke to Jan about my making a decision to either Stucco my house or put siding. Jan was very knowledgeable and help me make my decision. I went with the siding. Jan was able to give me the Premium color siding that I wanted. Family Home Improvement quote was cheaper than Sears who wanted to charge about two thousand more because it was a premium color for siding. They started the work on 7/2/18. They finished on 7/9/18. They worked on Saturday and Sunday because they had lost a couple of days due to the 4th of July holiday and because of rain. There were no hidden fees. The crew also installed my wrought iron door for an additional charge (the door was not included in the siding price). I can only say my house looks Wonderful and neighbors have already given me compliments. Also there has been two people that has used Family Home Improvement because of the work they did on my house. Finally this is a company that can do all kinds of work to your home. I will be using them again in the future. Thanks Family Home Improvements for a job well done!!
