Damian with Fair Claims Contracting did a fantastic job on our roof! He was very kind, professional, and incredibly helpful-especially when it came to selecting the perfect shingle color to match our home. Originally, our insurance company denied the claim, but Damian was able to identify damages they had missed and worked with them to get it approved. Thanks to his knowledge and persistence, we were able to get the roof replaced properly. The finished result looks amazing. Highly recommend!

We chose Fair Claims Contracting Inc. to repair our roof & gutter storm damage. Upon our initial meeting with Damian & Shella McGrath, owners of this company, we were impressed with their claims knowledge. The job went well for the most part. Our issue arose when we did our final walkthrough of the roof & gutter repair. Upon inspecting this, we found damage & an unapproved repair to our screened in porch off of the back of our home. Damian’s roofing crew without a discussion or approval with us as the homeowners decided to change our vent system on our screened in porch to a ridge vent instead of traditional turtle vents & roof jacks. This in turn caused our porch to be cut into at the peak of our porch roof causing an exposed gap. They also replace a piece of roof decking with a mismatched wood. The left nail damage & splintering to all exposed wood. The deck & our furniture was covered in sawdust debris & shingle debris was left hanging from the ceiling for us to clean. When we brought this issue to his attention we saw a completely different side of Damian McGrath. He became aloof, argumentative & defensive. He offered no solution or explanation of what could be done to rectify the issue. He told us he didn’t know why his crew decided to do this. He told us he puts the ridge vents in at no additional charge to us, as they are better. But he lacked approval from us & there was no discussion of the outcome of how it would change the roof permanently. He was upset that we would not give final payment that day due to no accountability from him & no resolution for the damage. He unprofessionally walked out of our home mid conversation leaving his wife to deal with it & sat in his work truck in front of our home. When we called him the following day to seek resolution & discuss final payment, he told us he would not be repairing our porch or making it better looking from his crew’s damage. He told us we could repair it our self. He then threatened us with obtaining a lawsuit, contacting our mortgage company & putting a lien on our property. He told us he’s done with the discussion. I will not and could not ever in good faith ever recommended this company to any homeowner or business due to this behavior. He is completely unprofessional, rude & can not take criticism in any way. Please any one that reads this review take caution. Do better Damian McGrath aka Fair Claims Contracting Inc.

Would give zero stars if possible. Handled claim directly with State Farm and did not complete all work outlined on claim. Did not show up when he initially set appointment causing schedule issues for homeowner with work. Contractor threatened to withhold warranties for ransom until I paid for work that was not completed at the time. His roofing/siding crew left nails all through yard and AC unit. My nephew ended up with a shiny new roofing/siding nail in his heel. I would seriously avoid this company.
