They went to great efforts and did an outstanding job protecting our scrubs, plants, and concrete around the house. Reasonable Estimate, confidence that Evansen could deliver quality work which they did. From the photo, you can see alum edging and valleys, they replace all bad decking. install roofing materials quickly but accurately. Caulking and flashing all 100% perfect to ensure a leak proof roof. Was able to test roof as monsoon rain hit several days later with no issues. It was really a painless experience start to finish. However, you will need really good ear plugs if you are home on the day they install.

When we met Doug to inspect the roof, he was courteous, inquired about roof leaks, asked questions, he walked the roof, and came prepared with aerial views of the home. Doug answered my lengthy list of questions, and was able to give us pricing.

As promised, (1) day prior to install, all the shingles and supplies were delivered and neatly stacked on the driveway so that we could still access the garage.

On replacement day, the (10) member crew arrived in their trucks early. At 7:00 AM every crew member began work, each having a specific task. Every crew member was professional, and took great care in protecting the gutters, and landscaping. Throughout the entire day they performed their job like a "well oiled machine". The dumpster was delivered in a timely manner allowing for all the debris to be offloaded from the roof, and the crew could keep the project moving. Throughout the day Doug was in touch with the Crew Lead to see how the project was progressing.

Before the roof was complete, a portion of the crew began clean-up. By the time the roof was complete, every crew member was cleaning every portion of yard and garage. We were extremely impressed on how diligent each crew member worked to make sure the yard and garage was as clean, or cleaner than when they arrived that morning.

As promised, the next day Doug stopped out to view the project, see if we were happy with the job, and if we had any questions.

In our opinion, Doug and his experienced team are the roofing professionals to provide you a "long lasting, worry free" roof.

100% satisfied with every aspect of this job. Removed old shingles, installed new, meticulous cleanup, and all completed in one day thanks to the crew who came before 7am and worked hard to get the job done before evening rain. They did an excellent job removing our old roof (two layer tear-off), installing an Owens Corning complete roof system and seamless gutters, with no mess left behind. Because Evansen Builders is an Owen Corning Platinum Preferred contractor, and all Owens Corning components were used, I received an excellent, transferable warranty, issued by Owens Corning. Doug (owner) came out to our house, explained everything very well and delivered what he promised, at a very good price. He helped us pick out a great color pattern shingle, with complementing gutters and took care of the warranty registration.

Evansen Builders did an amazing job on our roof. We had a complicated roof with Shingles and Rubber flat sections that some other roofers turned away from. When I met Doug, his professionalism and confidence put my mind at ease. They made the overall process easy and kept me up to date along the way. They have an extremely hard working and friendly crew that know what they are doing. Our roof turned out better than I expected and I can’t say enough positive things about them. Evansen Builders just completed a job in which they tore off and replaced our roof and also installed new higher capacity gutters. Doug Evansen came out and gave us an estimate comparable to other estimates we got. We chose Evansen based on their great reputation. Work began one week after we signed the contract. Doug's crew was punctual, courteous and hard working. They did a great job and didn't even damage my daffodils which were right under foot. They did a great clean up job too. Now I have new gutters, a new Owens Corning roof with a 50 year warranty and peace of mind that I chose the right contractor. I highly recommend Evansen Builders.

A few years ago we used Evansen Builders to install a new roof on an 18 unit apartment building. Complaints of the roof leaking had added up, but after Doug’s quick tear off and install we’ve not had a roofing complaint since! We appreciated him caring about also providing follow up steps for management to follow to ensure top performance for our roof’s longevity.

In March, Doug completed a double tear off and Owen’s Corning install for three 8-family buildings. The roofing job was completed in just two days!! Two 30 yard dumpsters were needed to collect all of the debris. The following week, a seamless gutter system was installed to complete the job.

We will definitely continue to use Evansen Builders for all of our roofing needs!

I watched Evansen workers install in my neighborhood and I was impressed how fast they worked, cleaned-up and completed a quality installation. I got a card from a worker - a year or two later, I called, Earl [expediter] came out and estimated, showed options of roofing [one shingle seller gave a Veteran couple of hundred $$$ off & Earl gave me immediate credit instead of me mailing in some forms]. Earl explained ice dams, [& not to use roof rakes which just piles snow into the gutters] Earl said I needed 2 feet of sheathing for ice and water barrier to prevent interior penetration from ice dams, recommended and explained I needed continuous roof venting [roof ridge venting]. Workers showed up on time [it was over 100 degrees on my roof that summer]; they installed my roofing timely, professionally, worked hard and finished in 3 days, apologizing for leaving early one day when the temp was over 110 degrees on the roof. Earl, the expediter was especially helpful with after installation service and re-servicing details even later than a year for a gutter leak. I found the process & information provided to be professionally presented, broken down and made simple for someone not experienced [me] so I understood why something was done or recommended. They finished quickly all aspects of the installation and cleaned up. I appreciated their on-time schedule and hard work. It was a positive, first rate experience without exception. Since the 20-year shingles on our West Allis bungalow were 24 years old, and we had been having problems with ice dams, it was the year for a new roof. With 5 star reviews, a competitive price, and a salesman who responded very quickly to any phone call or text from us, we chose Evansen.

Shingles and other materials were delivered the day before. On the day of our project, the large Evansen crew started at 7am with a complete tear off. Roofing boards were repaired as needed. Ice and water barrier, etc. were installed along with new metal in the valleys, which were our problem areas. 50-year Owens-Corning Duration dimensional shingles went on top. They also put a new roof on our detached garage. The cleanup was absolutely perfect and they were finished by sunset. Everyone on the well-organized crew had a task to, knew how to do it and kept at it till the job was done. I was impressed.

A few days later, another Evansen crew came to install new larger capacity rain gutters and downspouts on our house and garage. They followed all my requests to a T. I would highly recommend Evansen Builders.

I was recommended to use Evansen Builders by a friend who said they did an excellent job on her house. I wanted to find a roofer who trained and used their own crew, as a different roofer at my old house did a terrible roofing job as they hired out different crews. Doug Evansen is very knowledgeable with years of experience and explained everything- including his personally trained crew and their experience. I had roof and gutters put on, and they replaced rotted wood around the chimney and did some chimney repair. I feel relieved that the job was done right, it looks great, and the cost was very reasonable. My neighbors even told me how hard the crew worked, and were neat and quiet they were - which made me chuckle. I have already recommended them to a friend.

We had six different companies quote our roof and we chose Doug at Evansen Builders. We couldn’t be happier with our decision. Doug has a stellar crew that does a phenomenal job! At first I wasn't going to call Evansen out to quote fearing that the great reviews meant an astronomical cost and that they wouldnt have time for my smaller roof job. In fact I had the complete opposite experience. Doug came out to quote personally and was the most professional and well prepared person to bid. Pricing was very competative. I ended up finishing my roofing contractor search and signed with him that same day he came out to quote. The roof job was a tear off off and replace of asphalt shingles, repair of rotted fascia, and gutter replacement.

Roof and repair was completed in under 8 hours on the same day. Gutters were done quickly the following morning. All debris was cleaned and hauled away. It didn't seem like the cold and snow phased them one bit. Extremely efficient and respectful staff. Looking forward to having them quote on our upcoming siding and window work.

Where to start?? First off, I chose Evansen due to 3 reasons.
1) My son and daughter in-law had their roof done by Doug's guys, and were 100% satisfied.
2) His quoting thoroughness (aerial drawings, all figures laid out) was superior to 2 other roofers I got quotes from. One guy had just walked around the house once and wrote a number on a scrap of paper and handed it to me. Very unprofessional! Doug was always thorough and professional.
3) He answered all my questions completely, and told me what to search for on the Internet to verify his answers. (something I never thought of)

Scheduling: Doug specifically told me that my roof would be put in within a certain time frame DEPENDENT ON WEATHER. He made this clear. Due to some rain and then a cold spell, they got to it about a week later than expected. No problem on my end. Well within my expectations, as he has no control over the weather. Start to finish, 2 days. 1 more day for gutters/downspouts/leaf guards on gutters.

Work crew: Completely competent and very hard working. A well oiled machine. I stopped home and watched them work for a bit on my lunch hour. Very efficient. Large crew. While guys were putting up the roof, other guys were getting all the debris/scrap/old shingles off the ground and into the dumpster. Extremely polite. I had just mentioned that they had some stuff behind my wife's car, and she need to leave in about two hours...they stopped what they were doing and got the materials out of the way IMMEDIATELY.

Finished product: Absolutely beautiful.

Doug himself: Very nice guy. Genuine. Sincere. I know that some people might think “well, he HAS to be like that to stay in business”. He didn't come across like that at all. Never pressured us into anything, like the old “used car salesman” types. Discussed options, budget, add-ons to what we wanted...a very smooth process.

Recommendation: I would recommend Evansen to ANYONE I know, period!

One year ago I had Evansen Builders put LP Smart siding on my house.I had Certainteed Weather board siding which was absolutely horrible.I had it replaced with LP Smart siding and was absolutely the best.The job was perfect.Would recommend this company to do all my work.

Fantastic. We worked with Earl on our new roof project. I met him at the Home show and just requested information. He was friendly, very knowledgeable and wasn’t pushy. When it came time to complete the project I had 3 other companies come out and give quotes. One was so horribly over priced it was laughable. One guy loved scare tactics coming into my home showing me water leaks everywhere with his thermal camera (we have NO roof leaks). The third took two weeks just to give me a quote. I can’t imagine what the actual job would have taken.

Anyways then Earl came out to the house. Again he was super knowledgeable. Told us about the products but did not push anything on us. Didn’t talk trash about our current roof. Provided a quote immediately. While we were tossing around all our options he was very easy to get ahold of with questions.

We chose Evansen builders obviously. We also decided to get new gutters with them. They took a very minimal down-payment and everything was so smooth once we signed the contract. I almost didn’t have to think about it. The job started and ended when Earl told us it would. The roofers finished in two days. The guys came out and did the gutters the next day and finished cleanup. Earl followed the progress the whole way through. These guys were so clean I have literally only found two nails from our old roof. Two nails!!

Honestly I have only amazing things to say about this company. If you need a new roof go with these guys!!!

Doug was quick to meet me for an inspection of my roof. I thought that I would have to spend thousands of dollars to solve my problem, he helped determine that it would only cost me hundreds vs. thousands. With his vast experience he knew exactly what my problem was, he told me the immediate solution. Evansen Builders not only did my own roof, but my son's, mom's, and neighbors. They were very friendly and professional , and I have had no problems since,(6 years.) My mom had a warranty claim that Doug assisted her with . Doug and his crews were very knowledgeable about what I really needed, and especially careful about proper ventilation, water flow , etc. They also did a good clean up afterwards, which was important to me. They are able to give out longer warranties , which is a huge plus! My next project is soffit and fascia, and I will be calling them for that soon. It's great to find a company that truly cares about their workmanship, and stand behind their products!

I contacted Doug for a new roof in October. I live about 3 hours away, but was able to pool my job with another customer in the area. Doug came to the house, measured the roof, had the shingles delivered, and his crew came. They did a tear-off, fixing around the vents, flashing work, ice/water storm protection and a new roof in ONE day. At dusk, the blue tarps were gone, the crew was gone, and when I came home from work, they were walking around with their super-magnets searching for any potential nails, as a safety precaution. I didn't have flowers that time of year, but my bushes were all intact, with no limb breakage. I am not a roofing pro. I am just a homeowner, who wanted a nice roof, timely work, and efficiency. I got it all. I didn't know it could be done like this, as my last roof (by another contractor) took one WEEK.

I called Evansen Builders just before the 4th of July. I was anxious to get an estimate because I noticed some damage and missing shingles. Doug Evansen came out the same day. I had already obtained a few estimates, but his was very competitive and significantly lower than the two highest bids.

I was also impressed by Doug's thoroughness. For instance, he was the only contractor who said he would put a sealer on the irregular stone chimney. He thought the chimney might be the cause of my water damage, so he took extra care to make sure the chimney and flashing was watertight.

I also wanted to eliminate the mushroom vents and install the roof vent, but we didn't have any of the soffit vents that we would need to ensure adequate air flow. Doug was willing to install the soffit vents when most of the other contractors advised me to just keep the mushroom vents.

Evansen Builders tore off two layers of shingles, replaced some plywood decking, installed new soffit vents, replaced the roof with high dimensional shingles, tuck-pointed some joints, and applied a sealer on the chimney, replaced the chimney flashing, connected a bathroom fan to duct work and installed a roof vent for it, and replaced all the gutters and downspouts.

Doug's team did the soffit work first (before the roofing work), and when the color we picked for the soffits, gutters, and downspouts didn't match the existing soffits well, he called and asked if we wanted to make a different choice. We did, and he arranged to have the soffits painted to match the new color we picked for the gutters.

Wayne and the rest of the roofing crew came on time. They were professional, courteous, and efficient. They tore off two layers of roof, replaced some plywood, did needed chimney work, and installed the new roof and vents in a day and a half. The crew put all of the old roofing directly into the dumpster--not on the ground, so none of the plants surrounding the house were damaged. They “swept” the area with a magnet for any stray nails and did not leave any debris.

The next day, a different crew came to replace all the gutters and downspouts. They were also very professional, courteous, and neat. They did a beautiful job in just a few hours.

Doug was very good about returning my calls when I had any questions. I would (and already have) highly recommend Evensen Builders to anyone who needs a new roof.
