Had home inspection about a month ago. They totally missed that the laundry washing machine was leaking from the spicket for who knows how long. We hadn’t used the washing machine at all. It was a continuous leak without the machine even running. Whole wall and floor covered in mold from water damage that had to be ripped out costing thousands to replace. After paying over 400 for the inspection.
Would not recommend at all - he missed a giant crack in our foundation that had obviously been tried to be patched unsuccessfully. I just re analyzed the report and he did not even mention or take a picture of it. This crack has led to multiple floods in our basement and will cost thousands of dollars to repair. I very rarely leave a poor review unless it’s something egregious, but this lack of attention to detail in a field as critical as this, reaches that threshold.
Report was very basic and skipped or downplayed major problems. The home had obviously been flooded multiple times, and flooded again recently after purchase. Evidence of water damage evident on walls, major damage to window wells, as well as damage to our foundation. We bought the home while living out of state so could not do a walk through prior and was relying on report. He did not call to discuss either, only text. Price is likely fair market rate, charged 425 for a 1400 sq ft home.
Update: estimated costs are 12,000$ to have the foundation fixed that was mentioned nowhere in the report. We are now on the line for this money as we are the owners of this home. This could have been negotiated at sell. Be extremely weary of this “inspector.”
Sr. Enyard performed an extensive evaluation and inspection of the property in a detailed manner; excellent in his coordination on key details pertaining to household integrity along with clear general knowledge of possible issues that could arise if not prompted an immediate fix, which he addressed in his reports.
Highly recommend services from Enyard Home Inspections. GREAT value with superb quality at a reasonable price.
