Edisto Ace Hardware

We have been coming to Edisto Island for many years and ACE has always been so helpful when we need them!

Staying at the State Park on the island. Needed a small plumbing part for a burst water pipe. Very helpful staff, both on the floor and the cashier. Also, reasonably priced.

They have more items then expected. They have bedding to cookware to beach items to full hardware selection.

Staff is great and helpful.

Helpful service, were able to put together a fix for the broken tip of a walking pole. Ingenuity at it's finest. Anything you would need to fix anything in your home or garden. A nice selection of gifts and home accessories.

Not bad pricing consists on the island. Cheaper then the other building supply place on a lot of things. Great service

Awesome place to find anything. It's like it was where back in the 70's-80"s where owners cared about there customers. A plus is they sell fishing licenses...

They have lots of stuff. I think you pay more here, but it's an island and you can get what you need without driving a long distance.

Stopped by while in town for a few random items. Just like every ACE I would expect. They have what you want and you may leave with something you didn’t know you needed.

Edisto Islands only legit hardware store, in my humble opinion. This store is well stocked and generally has everything I need to maintain my property. Great staff too.

This location could use a serious remodel, but the associates are friendly and know their stuff. While the aisles are so small only 1 person can go up & down one at a time, they have a wide selection to choose from. They are perfectly located for all your beach home repair needs. They are also the only place, so it’s good they are a good place to shop. They sell propane and the have a Rug Doctor rental area.

Even though Ace is a chain I love to visit any local hardware store when I am visiting a new place. Edisto Beach is very lucky to have such a large and well stocked Ace. We live in rural Georgia and our Ace is 1/4 the size of this Ace. I went in to get 3 hose clamps. Big size range. In regards to two negative reviews on return policy and quality of sun canopy people need to take more time to examine a product before you buy it and find out what the return policy is before buying. I don’t have a lot of patience with non mechanical people or people that cheap out on a product and then expect it to preform like a better made product. Also, if you wait until you get to the beach to buy a sun shade that’s poor planning. I went to several stores before we left and examined several sizes and brands. If you take the time to research a product and know what you want before you impulse buy you will rarely have to return stuff.

Ace hardware on Trolley rd. probably lied to me and said DNR website was down and was rude. This buisness location and the guy selling us fishing licenses for 2 german friends of mine were absolutely great. I can't say how important this was with the situation. Thanks for everything.. I know y'all don't make any money off the sale, but the southern hospitality will be remembered by me. I'm only sorry I don't remeber his name.

Mike was Extremely helpful today while I was trying to find an inexpensive carpet knife. While I was looking at a very expensive knife, Mike showed me an easier knife to work with. He asked me why I didn't get the one lower to the floor.
I told Mike I have sciatica with a bulging disc and herniated disks so bending down just Ain't gonna happen! I'm really glad he was there to help.

Purchased a 58$ beach umbrella, had it on the beach for ten minutes before the wind snapped the aluminum frame in half…obviously it was very cheaply made. I returned to the store to see if I could exchange it, the cashier told me that, “I should have thought about that before I put the umbrella up in windy conditions” and would not let me exchange or return it. I’d recommend buying beach stuff elsewhere.

Absolute worst customer service experience of my entire life. And that’s not an exaggeration. I purchased a Shibumi Sun Shade (a $250 tent). After using the product and not being satisfied with its function, I tried to return it (only 6 hours after my purchase of the product) and was met with two very unprofessional, rude, hateful employees that decided that I needed a lecture on their no-return policy. I accepted graciously and left. I reached out to the manufacturer who promptly asked me to return to the store and they would accept the return. When I came back, my family and I were again verbally attacked by this staff even though they had the MANUFACTURER of the product on the phone telling them they would reimburse them with a new product if they would accept my refund. Kathy was screaming at the owner of Shibumi on the phone and told him it was too inconvenient for her to go to the post office and return this item. The employees started yelling at my family and threatening to call the police if we didn’t leave. I understand that they have a policy, but being treated like human trash is unacceptable. Especially when you have someone on the phone telling you they will send you another product.

Kathy at this location was an absolute nightmare. She was very unprofessional and does not need to be in the customer service industry. She was rude from the moment we walked in & when we tried to return an item, she became irate. She must live a sad miserable life to treat her customers with such disrespect. I will NEVER visit this location again. Ace hardware should be more cautious about the people they employ. I am very disappointed!

Very small.Hard to find anywhere to eat for my Wifes Celiac disease .Visited a ice cream shop.We mise the Friendly people who want to help us.My wife asked 3 kids and had no idea!You have Gluten Free Ice cream?The one said right away no.I said that's strange...We lived in Dallas Texas home of Blue Bell and many flavors are GF!People are willing to help.My wife said we went n saw n we won't be back!

It was Sunday afternoon and needed a toilet handle. I almost got the side mount instead of the front mount. Thank goodness for Ace Hardware!

Nice hardware store with a great selection of items. People working were friendly and helpful. I bought a knife for opening oysters! Just what I needed!

Very disappointed in the rudeness of the cashier last Saturday afternoon when we walked in the store. She would not look up when I asked her a question then very rude when I asked where the restroom was and cut me off. Walked out and will not be back after that experience will spend my money where they care about the customers.

Small store BUT everything we needed we found including white vinegar for first aid. Two items Food Lion was out of we found at Ace

They don't give a hoot. Needed a breaker, got there two minutes before closing. Lady at door, we closed. I have a rental house with no power in bathroom, just need one breaker. She said " we are closed". Great local place that just does not care. Customer service gets a -1. Sorry. Truth hurts sometimes.

Ace is the place. Esp. When there is no other real option. Lol. But very friendly folks hunt you down to help you. You know, at minimum, which row to go down, as you're walking in the door with a nice greeting. They even call out a few folks' names as they walk in the door. Stuff is in order organized. There are plenty of options. I'm so glad I don't have to drive 50 min. To Charleston.
Folks keep mouthing off because of returns, follow directions. It's lovely how the world will work for you.
Everything is back to normal. Shelving is stocked. No mask. You could forget the pandemic ever happened.
