Eddie Roberts Auto Masters is a local auto repair shop, but the description auto repair shop doesn't do justice to what they can do. Eddie, who started as a race car enthusiast, has staffed his shop with other specialists. We have used his services on numerous occasions.. once we couldn't get a car out of the garage due to a linkage problem and he came over, got our vehicle out and repaired it at his shop. Recently he did some welding on my truck. Thoroughly pleased with his work and have recommended him to others.

Yesterday by wife and I were traveling to Atlanta (for a family wedding) from eastern NC when our alternator on our vehicle went out on I-20. Eddie and his staff stopped what they were working on and helped us get back on the road. I have heard so many stories about how mechanic shops have taken advantage of travelers like us. I was fearful of this, but we found Eddie and his staff very polite and professional. The price we were charged were very reasonable for the "Rush" nature of our repair. If I lived in Elgin, I would change my mechanic today and use this business. I simply cant say how impressed we are of this business. Job well done Eddie. If I ever break down in your area again, Im coming to your shop!

I see this shop has a few good reviews and mentions of honesty and fairness, but after the experience my Dad went through here with his truck recently I've got to say be very weary of this shop. My Dad's truck is having problems producing heat. He took it to this guy to see about getting it fixed and this shop though the problem was the blending door actuator motor. They say they replaced it, in addition to flushing out the system (at my Dad's request). This did not fix the heating issue. But beyond that the even bigger problem is how much they charged. They charged my Dad $280 dollars for a blending door actuator, this is a $30 to $60 dollar at most part (in stock available with auto parts stores). Then they charged him over $700 for labor for this. I looked at it, this is a job I could have done in less than 30 minutes myself. All it requires is a quick removal of the glovebox (held in by tabs and a spring, literally took me 30 seconds to remove), and then a few bolts and a plug on the actuator. There is no way this was $700 worth of labor, even $100 would have been very generous here.

So as of right now I'd be very very cautious with this shop. If you use them, you need to double check the price of the parts and how much labor would actually be required to perform whatever repair they say they are going to do.

Always glad to find an honest mechanic. Eddie and his son Chance were very informative and honest in working with our vehicle.

Took my truck in due to a hard pull to the right after taking to another place to have some tires rotated who I won't let touch my vehicle again to be nice about it. Well I am sure glad I took it to the guys at Eddie's a couple more days I would of probably wound up in the hospital or dead. Not only did the other shop who worked on it say nothing about the conditions they said I didn't request for them to anything more than rotate the tires and change the oil, the issues with the front end were nothing they would of had to dig into and they would had some more work since I would of paid for it to be repaired immediately. So if you want a shop that will do a thorough job and make sure your vehicle is right and safe! Take it down to Eddie Roberts Automasters tell him Dr. Cool sent ya....

This is by far the fairest and most honest car shop that I’ve ever had dealings with. My car was actually towed along with my trailer loaded to the hilt with tools all brand new Dewalt and very expensive nail guns. My new toolbox was not locking so he went out of the way to park in front of the cameras every night to ensure my property was secure. In addition he basically cut my bill in half to help me with my Towing and while I was there he helped another customer with an issue he was having. Then out of the kindness of his heart he had my trailer delivered to a customer’s house so that I wouldn’t have to pay another day’s storage and come back and get it. I can’t say nearly Enough good in one review about Eddie Roberts. I would leave multiple if it was allowed. There are great people still left in this world and he’s definitely one of them. Although I live in Lexington I will be giving him a call for my car care from now on due to his honesty and integrity. Heck of a guy I’ll tell you that.

Eddie is one of the most honest mechanics I have ever been to. He has gone above and beyond to help me on multiple occasions!

My truck broke down after hours they not only answered the phone for me but also made sure that my vehicle once it was towed in was securely behind the already locked gate. They had a diagnostic in good time aswell.

Eddie Roberts will be our 1st choice from here on. He takes the time to explain and takes his time in working on our car and truck. He went over and beyond the expectation during and even after the service. Very, very satisfied!!!

Eddie is great. Always taken the time to answer all my questions and let me decide on repairs. He has made sure my wife and daughters have his card in case they ever have car issues.

I called Eddie with a question about my car because someone else told me car needed a new starter and flywheel and wss going to cost a lot more than I could afford. Eddie looked my car and said it only needed a starter. He replaced my stsrtex8 and I say I was most definitely pleased with his service and honestesty. I would recommend him to everyone who wants a great and reasonable mechanic

Great place!! These people restored our faith in humanity. Own our way to North Carolina from Mississippi for the wake of our sister in law. Needless to say our motor blew up and Mr. Eddie towed our car off the interstate in quick time and took us to a hotel and later to the Enterprise place to get us a rental. They didn't have to do any of this but they did. God bless you and thank you for everything. You guys Rock. Would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone!

Brought my car hear to see how much it would cost to fix, I already knew what was wrong with it from another shop. He ended up charging me for the diagnosis that I brought in to him, and then he told me the car wasn't worth fixing. Would never return!

Listen when I tell you that it ain't many honest and humble guys out there...he went thru hell and back for wit dis car and didn't have to...I am so grateful to have met him and his guys... they do great work for honest pay...luv u guys...

Awesome guy needed my brakes done and belts. brakes were fried and he got it done decently quick. straight to the point and got it done. 10/10 would recommend and would go again! thanks eddie!

Oh, if is going to be done well it here I am not going to report they’re inexpensive but to tell you the truth — well, they’re the best thing to happen to happen me since hearing I had a grandson.

Eddie and his people are very knowledgeable and professional. He may not be the cheapest, but he is the best! His towing service is reliable. He picked me and my 50 year old bug up twice in a single day. On the second pickup, he told me how to fix it, so it stayed fixed, and didnt charge me for the advice and expertise. He treated my old Volkswagen like it was a brand new Rolls Royce. They are good people! I will never take any of my cars anywhere else!

My wife and I were evacuating from Hurricane Florence when our Car broke down just outside of Lugoff. Needing a tow and not knowing who or what shop to trust in the area, we took on a chance on Eddie's. He had a tow truck out to us in 20 minutes, had our car repaired the very next day and we were very satisfied with the price. Great owner and a great shop, they took care of us during a desperate time. Thank you so much and I recommend anyone caught in similar circumstances to give them a call.

Amazing i called this shop on at bp near them my car was overheating and they sent a GREAT MECHANIC out his name was SAM i mean he looked at my car and put antifreeze in our car and didnt charge us because he knew we where having a hard time im in tears right now they where angels sent from god

Service was good but a little pricey. The tow truck driver, David, was unbelievable rude. The owner aplologized for the driver, he said he was rude because his hand was hurt. I understand people have bad days, but this guy was over the top. I explained that I drove 2 hours to pick up the car and had made plans with the owner to pick it after hours. He told me he didnt care what plans I had and he would not come open the gate. He would not give me the owners phone number and said he did not care. He told me several times that my problem was not his problem. He actually told me to stop talking because no matter what I said he wasnt coming to open the gate. Thankfully I found the owners number in my call log and he came to open the gate.
