So long story short I needed a truck! I owned a really nice Charger that I was having trouble parting with but I saw a used Ram online and drove down from Columbia to look at it! David in sales worked out a pretty darn good deal to get me out from being underwater on my car and got me into what I consider a truck probably nicer than I deserve. Anna in finance and the young fella who was my salesman ( can’t remember his name, sorry) did a top job, easy purchase and was out of there in 90 minutes or less. Thanks to all concerned.

This was the first time we ever actually had fun buying a car! Marcus was wonderful, kind, professional, and trustworthy. The sales staff is on salary, not commissions, so the process was pretty smooth. I got a fair value for my trade-in and a great price on my new 2025 Jeep Wrangler. I arrived with a specific Jeep I wanted to test drive, and received no run-around. I drove it, liked it, and started running numbers. Even the finance guy (I forget his name, apologies!) was a delight to talk with. We were thoroughly impressed and satisfied with our entire experience. Highly recommend!
I purchased a vehicle from them back in 2022 the sales experience was easy though I wish I looked closer at the numbers as I ended up paying way more than what the vehicle was worth through dealer fees and add-ons. Along with this I totaled the vehicle in March of this year. I immediately went to the dealership to start the GAP claim and was told to send over certain paperwork. Over the next 3 months, I emailed multiple times to find out the status and was always given an excuse of why they couldn’t at that time. After the bank had contacted me on the remaining amount they took it into their hands to find out what was going on. Turns out the claim was never filed. I have now come out of pocket more than what I should have due to the lack of customer commitment and completing their jobs. They one take care of you until you sign that paperwork and they get their money after that they don’t care about you anymore.
*Edit in response to their response: I have emails showing where I asked for an update on this claim. And I have emails showing where I am told they would look into the claim and get back to me. Where I’m told that they were unable to access my paperwork from when I purchased the vehicle to provide them to the warranty company. So now I got you in a lie about “thoroughly explaining this process.” And I even got a an email response where it was passed off to the bank due to not being able to access the proper paperwork. I have emails from my bank that said the finance manager would reach out to the GAP warranty company.

I have bought 5 Dodge cars since 2014 and this place was the worst experience I have ever had. I was told that the sold car had accidents with minor damage and that it was fixed. It was not. The driver side door is misaligned, causing air intake. There is also a wrong tire on the front right. In addition, I only received 1 key fob. I took the car back the day after I purchased it and the refused to fix the damage or help me in any way. I will never go to Carolina Dodge in Lugoff again. They do not care about their customers, they only care about stealing your money.
Excellent customer service. As a person who is relocating to South Carolina, I called the dealership to get a quote on some service work and an extended warranty. I was absolutely blown away by their friendliness and honesty. I will most certainly be doing my business here.

Honestly wish I could leave 0 stars and still post a review. I went to buy a 2020 jeep suv from this location when they went to show me the previously owned vehicle there was dog shit smeared into the back seats and floor boards. Like seriously and they tried to apologize and show me a different vehicle but as soon as I saw that I was ready to go. Be careful looking through their preowned vehicles. ♀️

I purchased two vehicles from Marcus in 2024. Marcus is awesome and I’d follow him to any dealership, except ones owned by this one. I wasn’t happy with my first purchase after a couple months, so I traded and completed the purchase of my Grand Cherokee in October 2024. Both sales experiences were positive with Marcus. However, it hit rock bottom when I had my first service appointment. I needed a tire patched due to a nail, oil changed, tire rotation and the seat belt latch wasn’t catching. Adam in the service department called me because I had dropped the Jeep off the night before. He advised me that I did not have an air filter. I told him that is really strange because we’ve never even opened the hood of the car, this is the first service. he informed me it showed in the history of the vehicle that they had replaced the air filter prior to me buying it. I let him know my vehicle was always locked so no one could pop the hood and steal the air filter and again I told home we had never opened the hood. He offered to sell me an air filter for $63. there was an error at the dealership prior to my purchase and they never installed an air filter. I have been driving my Jeep for over five months without an air filter. I reached out to the sales department to let them know I wouldn’t be purchasing there again. While the service department did not come right out and call me a liar, That is basically how they made me feel. I have no reason to lie about the air filter. We never touched it. They sold me a vehicle without an air filter, plain and simple. They will not admit they made a mistake. Between the service department and the sales department, I was not able to get anywhere, I felt they should be putting in an air filter at no cost. They did not feel that way. When I went to get in my car to leave, I noticed my hood was not even closed. So first they do not put in an air filter and then they don’t even close my hood. It’s a good thing I noticed it before I drove down the road And jumped on the highway. The incompetence of the service department is crazy. I drove away without an air filter and went to advanced auto and purchased one. I will not give them my business nor will I recommend them to anyone in the future.

I saw a 2014 BMW 535 d available at this location and inquired. Normally a dealership will just bug the mess out of you to buy a car. But not here. The sales rep (Keaton) was patience and didn’t annoy me with a bunch of emails or calls. When I arrived after the weekend he called early to confirm I was still coming, he had the car up front and ready for the test drive. Great conversation and no pressure. The also got the deal done quickly. Shout out to Casey and Dave.

We’ve been without a vehicle for over two months due to a wreck that left us with a totaled out vehicle. Even though we were still battling with all the work that comes along with that Keaton and David got us into a vehicle that was perfect for us and have been helping us out in every way they can. We had an unexpected change that required me to need a bigger car. Jeff reached out very quickly after I inquired about a Nissan Rogue we were looking at. We own a RAM 6.7 Cummins Diesel and have had unsatisfactory experiences with service departments at several of the RAM dealers in the Carolinas. We found Carolina Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM a few years ago and have had outstanding experiences. Their service department staff embody small town values. They are trustworthy, do quality work, and are extremely fairly priced. Appointments always start on-time and they get us out quickly. They saved us a ton of money on a recent brake pad replacement and rotor resurfacing for our dually. We drive an hour to get to Camden/Lugoff, but the drive is worth the time. I don’t trust anyone else to service our truck.
I worked with David here and from the moment I pulled up he was great. I never felt like I was being lied to or taken advantage of. He went above and beyond to work with me and get me into the car I want. I highly recommend David and this dealership.

David W. and David N. made me feel right at home. Friendly, informative and no pressure. These guys aren't the vultures I've experienced at other dealerships. I'd put off getting a new vehicle because of the off putting feeling of a typical dealership, but Carolinas is different. They're genuinely there to make sure you have what you want at a price you want. I walked in unsure of trade in and down payment and that was ok with them. They let me make up my mind in my own time. Even finance was friendly, quick and felt like talking to an old friend. I'll ONLY be using Carolina Jeep in Lugoff for my future vehicle purchases.

Bought a 20 Jeep Wrangler from this location, I showed the salesman the internet price for the vehicle. They did NOT honor it and overcharged me for said vehicle. I call to speak to a sales manager about this issue she told me she doesn’t remember me or the deal we did on the vehicle even though I met her and shook her hand. I talked to the general manager Casey Olsen he told me “you signed for the vehicle it’s your problem don’t make the payments and have them repo it then.” I asked him about the military discount that I mentioned to my salesman multiple times and it was not honored as well. This store doesn’t like military veterans buying from them it seems. I asked the general manager for a full refund and to bring the vehicle back since it hasn’t been 30 Days since delivery of the vehicle he says “we’re definitely NOT doing that and hung up the phone”. Where’s the customer service? From the poor leadership, sleazy salesman, and shady finance guy, I will never buy another Chrysler product again after this experience! How can the owner Mr. Mason let this happen?
After years, this place just went downhill on service. After a man in the service department let me leave without my brakes properly bolted on (still have that video), you'd think I would have gone else where but NO.
A year or so later, after my car was damaged in accident where I was not at fault, my motor was replaced with a REFURBISHED motor. Instead of the insurance paying it, I was forced to buy it for 8 grand before they would continue the repairs for the accident. 3 months after the warranty expired, it's dead. Purchase your parts yourself. Don't hesitate to check things yourself. Integrity is a fleeting thing.
My experience with CDJR in Lugoff, SC was phenomenal! The whole team was compassionate and they made me feel like family! Shout outs to Marcus, Jeff, David and Cody! You guys rock! The best experience I’ve EVER had at a dealership! I live in Charleston, but I’m originally from Camden, so I was visiting my parents for the weekend. Realized I needed a new headlight & 2 new tires. I wasn’t expecting to get in, but I walked in late Saturday morning anyway & got right in. Bill & Robbie greeted me right away. Trey was my sells person and hands down best experience I have had when purchasing a car! I never felt pressured or haggled with very straight up. I had already been to 2 other dealerships Payless and the Nissan place with no luck. I was at the point of it’s not going to happen. When my husband decided to go next door to the Chrysler dealership, I was here probably about an hour and they had already had me approved and in about 3 hours I had signed and out the door! Everyone that I had came in contact with there was super nice and never pushed or made me feel like I had to settle for something I didn’t want. If you are in the market please go by there and ask for Trey such an honest sells man. One more thing I had a low credit score but they have lenders that they work with to help get you approved!

I was in the market for a '22-'23 Certified Pre-Owned Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe with low mileage. I found a vehicle that matched my needs online at Carolina Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM. Anna Moy was very quick to answer my questions via email and text before I drove 100 miles from Charleston. Once onsite, my experience with Marcus Stover and the rest of the team at Carolina CDJR was top notch, making the trip to Lugoff well worth it. I'm now the happy owner of a '22 CPO Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe and am a very satisfied customer.
UPDATE:
While I was extremely happy with my purchasing experience, my post purchase experience has been less than stellar. I've had multiple issues with the vehicle and no one here seems to care. In less than 85 days, I've had the vehicle out of service for 12 of those days.
1st issue was having the charging port replaced, which was covered by the CPO Warranty. Not much of an inconvenience.
2nd issue is the vehicle is part of a 95B Safety Recall due to a risk of fire with the PHEV batteries. This is not really the dealers fault more than bad luck, but the primary reason for buying the 4xe was to use the hybrid functionality and Jeep is telling owners to not charge the vehicle until they have a fix. We're approaching 60 days without a fix.
3rd issue is that the vehicles primary battery died about 60 days after purchasing. Vehicle wouldn't start at all and had to have it towed to my local dealer in Charleston for diagnosis. They couldn't get a technician to look at it for 10 days, causing me to have to get a rental. No big deal, it's under warranty...so I thought. Find out the battery is an aftermarket battery and not covered under warranty, but it's the battery that came with the vehicle when I purchased it. I end up having to pay $650 to the dealer for a new primary battery so I can drive the vehicle and my reimbursement claim for my rental car will be denied. Carolina CDJR says they can't cover the battery because it isn't covered under the CPO warranty, but it's the battery that was in the vehicle that they sold me 60 days prior. I take the loss and move on. The bigger issue is this appears to be the 2nd battery (OEM + Aftermarket) that have had to be replaced in 2 years. It's a much more concerning issue. When speaking with Carolina CDJR for help, I get promised call backs and they never come. While my most recent attempt for someone to contact at Jeep did result in getting 2 phone numbers for me to call, 1 of those wasn't even for Jeep at all, but to claim a $100 rebate at Walmart.
I feel like once they sold me the vehicle, they are just happy to have passed the headache with the vehicle on to me and are washing their hands of anything.
UPDATE #2:
After the dealer's response to this review, now add dishonesty to the experience. Communication from the dealer has been lacking and has been a one way street with me being the one contacting them. This after multiple false promises of the GM calling me back. Never once has the battery number they reference in their reply been communicated to me. As you can see on the receipt for the replacement, that wasn't the case.
Best dealership ever! Carolina Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep in Lugoff, SC provided excellent service in fixing my Dodge Grand Caravan, even though it was Christmas week. They got to me quicker than I expected, and Joel, my service advisor, kept me updated, and explained their findings in simple terms I could understand easily. I was also surprised by the reasonable rate I was charged, and how nice the employees were. Even though I went out of town to go to this dealership, I will be using Carolina Chrysler exclusively in the future.
Eventhough i bought my truck at a different dealership, i have always come to Lugoff / Carolina Chrysler for any services i've needed. Hands down the best for my money and Robbie, the service advisor is awesome. All around great staff. I highly recommend.
If I could I would give this dealership and service department a 0 … don’t take your vehicle to them . They try to tell me my power transmission wasn’t getting enough battery and that’s why my transmission was bad .. wrong the transmission was bad . They had for 6 weeks . While in the shop they didn’t even replace the recall on it after I asked them to . I was told it didn’t come in for a recall. Well it was in the shop you should’ve replaced the part .
Had to change my review. This has been the worst experience after buying a vehicle from a dealership. Sad to say but they don't care once you leave the lot.
Well I had to change my review. We bought a certified pre owned Jeep Wrangler with an additional warranty. Since we bought it within the first year the rearend went out and was replaced. Now this year it went out again and blew a hole in the rear housing this time. It's under a parts warranty and the dealership has had it for over a month without even trying to fix it. I involved jeep at the corporate level and they said I have to pay out of pocket and maybe I will get reimbursement if they choose to do so. I am currently out a 700 dollar tow bill which both the dealership and jeep refuse to pay for. My jeep is still broke down and hasn't been approved by the management to be repaired. I asked the General manager what we can do and he said they are not responsible for it. He said I can trade it in which would put me 20k upside down in another vehicle since mine clearly isn't worth much currently. The worst part is we bought this because they told us it was certified pre owned and that made us believe it was a better suited vehicle. Since it's been there twice now for the same problem and on the second time it blew out we were heading to Florida for the weekend which almost caused us to be in a wreck on 95 when we lost power and gears to continue moving we had to make an emergency exit while the vehicle was smoking threw traffic. This experience was pretty damn scary but now the dealership and Jeep seem to not give a care about us. Very disappointed to be stuck upside-down in a vehicle that can't stay on the road while being on the hook for payments and the dealership doesn't care about the customer.
Took my truck in for oil change and Tire rotation around 7:45 am. I was told it would be ready around an hour in a half. I returned around 1 pm to pick it up and it was still sitting there. No service has been done. I just asked for my keys and left. If your going to tell your customers a time and are nowhere near it, how about giving a courtesy call letting them know that it will be longer then what was told. Waste of time.
We came as they were closing and Jessica Stacy walked over to us. She did not make us feel rushed. She let us look and answered questions. We came back 2 days later and she got us into the car we wanted! Jessica and the rest of the sales team were excellent!
This is the 2nd vehicle I've bought from them.... they're all great from beginning to end! My first contact was Trey Washington. A very polite, friendly, knowledgeable young man. He wasn't pushy when it came to selling to me, didn't try to upsell or anything.
The finance dept was quick and easy to work with. The gentleman that closed the deal (and his colleague in training) was very personable and polite. I walked out happy with all the features I was looking for, as well as a great maintenance plan!
I guess the guy would be service manager for the repair shop. Yall be very careful for taking his advice on repairs. I was trying him to see if I could trust him with my wife on bringing our cars in for service. This man told me that fleetguard filters was aftermarket filters for a Cummings diesel and that Mopar would only work he would hate to have to work on my truck for using an aftermarket filter and it causing low oil pressure or something else. I guess he judged the book by the cover and read wrong. Because fleetguard is a division of Cummings. Welp so much for you getting my trucks back in for anything. Thanks for letting me know you will take advantage of people.
