I could not recommend Justin and Eco Kauai more. He has been very thorough and detailed and has made a very stressful situation with a leak in my home go as smoothly as possible.

Justin and Eco Kaua'i are EXCELLENT! I was having a terrible experience with a property manager in Poipu regarding a short-term rental that had mold. I was told I was having "sensitivities" and they would not relocate/refund me despite multiple requests. I had to abandon the unit after 3 days because it was making me sick. After calling multiple state agencies to no avail or help, I finally reached out to Eco Kaua'i. Justin was well educated on the subject of mold exposure and was at the unit the next day collecting sampling data (air/swab tests) and taking photos. Lab results proved elevated levels of Aspergillus/Penicillium and Stachybotrys/Memnoniella (BLACK MOLD-HIGHLY TOXIC). I highly recommend Justin and Eco Kaua’i if you are experiencing any type of mold issue!

Justin was truly the MOST knowledgeable and helpful mold and moisture expert we have encountered so far. He was thorough, took time to explain everything, and did not even charge us for looking at the home and how we can keep up with it. ECO was very thorough and professional. Onsite within days of our first conversation about our problem. We had massive water damage in our vacation rental unit and we needed someone to get busy before the damp and mold took over completely. They were on the spot and got things done. We are very satisfied with everything they did for us. Justin Jacobs and his crew seem to have the latest and greatest equipment for detecting moisture beyond what the eye can see. They also use a 3D camera that gave me a virtual walkthrough of our unit post remediation, pretty cool. I highly recommend ECO Kauai Services. :o)

I cannot thank Justin and his team enough for cleaning and re-insulating our attic. We had a rat problem and a lot of contamination and wanted to take care of it before it damaged our home. Justin was the only one on island offering this type of service. After his team spent 12 hot hours in our attic, our home finally feels clean and safe again. One of the best experiences I’ve had with any contractor on island. Highly recommend!

Justin is the man. I had to hire him for a mold inspection at my house in Wainiha valley, and he not only was able to keep things super pro while dealing with tenants, but he really took the time to educate me, the owner, on all things mold related along the way. Contacted Eco Kauai Services after tearing out a custom tiled shower that was built all wrong and had been leaking badly for a couple of years. Justin sent a crew out the next day and they cleaned/treated all the exposed black mold and finished tearing out the flooring and moldy drywall. As a contractor, I was pleased with their professionalism and how quickly they were able to do the job. I will definitely be calling them for future projects and highly recommend them if you even THINK you have a mold problem! Mahalo's

I don't usually write reviews, but just really felt it was important to acknowledge Justin at Eco Kauai for the good experience we had with him.

We called him for help and information about a mold problem we were having. From the first phone conversation to the initial property inspection, he was professional and courteous when addressing the concerns we had about our mold problem.

He kept his word and arrived promptly to his appointment. The assessment was thoroughly detailed. He also completed and sent his reports efficiently.

Justin communicated with us in a timely manner. Even though we had a lot of questions, he was never condescending and he kindly took the time to explain things in a way we could understand, without rushing. It was obvious that he is very knowledgeable and experienced.

We really appreciate having a skilled expert like Justin to help us handle this issue. If anyone is looking for a solid mold remediation company on Kauai, this would be it.

I was happy to learn that there was someone on Kauai who could clean out our dryer vent that had several 90 degree turns before reaching the outside. Cody was very personable, professional and proficient in getting the job done in just about 30 minutes. Fascinating how they do what they do...and. now our dryer is very efficient, drying better than ever and very quickly. I know who to call when the error sign flashes "air flow" on the dryer.

Justin and his team were fantastic. We purchased a condo that had minor mold issues in a few rooms and a nook window that had some water damage. They essentially wiped down the entire interior and removed the saturated drywall. He ensured that the nook window was isolated by tenting off that portion of the room to prevent the spread of any mold. Furthermore, he employed air scrubbers to clean the air. When we returned in the evening, the place was immaculate. Everything was put back in place perfectly. They even ran the dishwasher!

Eco Kauai Services was extremely professional, courteous, and helpful. They were very accommodating as far as scheduling. The service (dryer duct cleanout) was performed efficiently, and, as far as I can tell, done extremely well. I am very happy that I found them, and would not hesitate to use their services again.

Justin and his team helped me at Kalapaki Villas #311. The condo unit experienced a leak coming from the condo unit above. Justin and Eco Kauai assisted us promptly with water mitigation, he was an effective communicator over phone/text, and shared his aloha with me as well. He recommended a contractor to me for reconstruction who scheduled us promptly and finished promptly! It took just about three weeks for mitigation and recon to complete, we were able to get tenant back to normal relatively quick!

Justin is definitely the guy to call if you have any water or mold damage. He spent a lot of time educating my husband and I on what to look for with mold exposure. The education and testing saved us from purchasing a home that not only was full of mold, but had long standing construction problems that also needed to be fixed to prevent the mold from coming back. Eco Kauai responded to my call in a timely and professional manner. They were informative and managed expectations well. The mold due to water damage from a leaking roof was identified through careful demolition, and was remediated. The crew was courteous, clean and worked hard. The area was sealed off during the demo process, all the furniture was carefully moved out of the way, etc. The crew was even able to salvage the trim boards for reuse.

In short I would recommend Eco Kauai to anyone that thinks they have a mold issue, water damage to ceiling, roof or floors.

This week we woke up to find we had a silent leak somewhere on our property after opening our water bill: we were loosing over 30 gallons of water a minute. I immediately called Justin & Billy w/ Eco Kaua’i praying they’d be able to assist us while dealing with Dept of water.

As advertised, they showed up in record time, provided solid & precise information to help us going above & beyond they’re duty & inspected our neighbor’s home, as well (which, ends up, where the small but expensive leak was building up).

This is the ONLY company I will use for any water damage for repair of our home for flood or fire damage.

If Eco Kaua’i didn’t help us we’d be flooding the valley underground (unknowingly) & watch, in horror, as our water bill climbed $50 an hour. The battle w/ the county goes on but, we have sound mind that we’re not sinking & our dilemma isn’t causing harmful damage in our neighborhood.

Aloha. I am in the process of buying our first home and the best part of the whole process was meeting Justin. He is extremely professional, respectful, and highly competent and knowledgeable, a wicked combination that is increasingly rare. He devised an optimal plan to test for mold during our inspection period and surprisingly found it, and moreover active leaks damaging the whole living room ceiling. He even took it out of his time to find the source of the leaks and gain access to both the units and above. I can’t think of anyone who would go the extra mile to ensure our safety and health. This person is one the most honest people you will ever work with. Anyone else simply would not be that thorough, honest and affordable as Justin at Echo. We ended up not getting the place and probably dodged a bullet thanks to Justin. He exclusively represents you and will not be swayed by (greedy) real estate agents who will do anything to make a commission.
