I thought I was in an alternate reality when I bought my Sentra. I said, "No payment over $200.00 and that's firm." I was expecting to be led over to the used car lot lol. But NO! We were led into the showroom, sat us down at a table, offered a cold drink, and was told we were "sitting next to our new car!" We looked over and there sat my vision of heaven! A 2020 Nissan Sentra SV in electric blue! I was gobsmacked when the monthly payment came out to be $209.00!!! I didn't even test drove it lol. We drove off the lot in my new baby!
Fast forward 7 months. I get an email that my 6 month servicing is late and would I like to schedule it online or call. I called and was shocked to hear they had an appointment the next day. My last car took a months notice to get the works! So I grabbed the appointment with both hands thinking it was a glitch and I would have to fight to keep it. Nope, it was for real, so I pulled my sorry self out of bed the next morning, pulled on my comfies and sneakers. Got in the car and made the 1hour drive to the dealership. Grumping the whole way without my coffee I'd left on the counter by mistake.
When I arrived there were a number of service bays full of cars on lifts. Yeah, my mood beçame even worse thinking I'd have to wait on a mechanic to shake loose. So I grudgingly walked to the door and walked into what I expected to be all morning easily before I got my baby back.
Never in my life has a service department treated me like I was royalty! I was greeted when I walked in, given a BIG smile and advised it should take no more than 30 minutes. My last car it was an entire morning waiting for my beast to be serviced! I was called in from the comfortable seating area, with my free COFFEE in hand, at roughly 40 minutes and they apologized for how long it took!
I was shown all the paperwork that my tires were still great, that they changed the oil and filters, that they had double checked my brakes, and all the other things checked on a safety check! They also either washed the car or it had rained hard while it was sitting in the covered service bay! When that dreaded moment, where you pull out your wallet and gulp back the tears at the price for all that, came I was gobsmacked again. My first two servicing jobs were FREE! Yes, I will say it again for effect. IT WAS **FREE**!!!! And the coffee was FREE too!
Turns out that, although the same family owns both dealerships, they have two different service managers in control of the garages.
I had already liked Nissans, before my old car died, but now I want to marry them!
Fast forward to July 2023:
My Nissan Sentra is still running like a dream and I've had no problems with her in over 3 years. I finally had to pay, that's July 2023 I'd like to stress, for my 1st servicing!! They had it in and out before I could get 4 chapters in my book read! Love me some Nissan products! I will definitely be getting my 2024 car from them. The only reason I'm even trading her in is my knees, and my 91 year old father's knees, can handle how low slung she is, drat it all!
