- This individual arrived at my home without any notice.
- I asked that he not go near her window. He went directly there and began looking in the window.

This individual arrived at my home without any notice. I wouldn't let him on the property as I had no idea anyone was even coming to look at the roof. I called my landlord and was told that he had asked to have someone come to quote a new roof but that he hadn't been told a time as to when they would be there. So I allowed him to start looking the home over. My wife has been having medical issues and was inside trying to rest so therefore I asked that he not go near her window. He went directly there and began looking in the window. So I asked him to move. As he was leaving he said we needed a new roof. I asked that from now on we please be notified in advance and gave him my number. A few days later I look out to see a truckload of shingles and sheeting. Once again no notice. I asked the 2 gentlemen to please avoid the end of the house where my wife was resting. They agreed and avoided that area. While they were unloading the original person showed up again. I once again asked him to please avoid the area, so once again he started heading straight that way until I got between him and the home. Then he proceeds to unload opened bundles of shingles onto our yard. I once again asked for enough notice to make plans for ways that my wife could rest while the new shingles were being installed. 2 days later at 9 pm I received a message from my landlord that they would be there the following morning. I advised my landlord that that would not work and as such he contacted the company and they pushed off the project 1 additional day.
The actual roofers arrived on time and did the job properly other than when using a leaf blower to clean debris off the roof they blew back against the shingles, which can weaken them as well as blow dirt and debris under them. When they left they were not able to take everything that was left at my home and asked if it would be ok if someone came to pick it all up sometime this week. I agreed and asked once again for a phone call to make sure everything was ready and I would be home.To this morning. I get a text message at 730 am while I am taking my daughter to school from the original guy that he is at my house and wants to inspect the roof. My wife had a doctor's appointment this morning and we were unavailable, which I informed him of as soon as I pulled up and asked if we could reschedule for this afternoon or tomorrow or anytime with enough notice to make sure that there were no issues. I was told it would be real quick to which I said that we had to go and that I needed to be able to pull in my driveway. He moved his van and I pulled in and went inside and he pulled back in behind me and got after I had gone inside. He starts walking around the house leaving the gates open and once again goes straight to the window of mine and my wife's room as shown in the picture from our security camera below. I go back outside and ask him to leave and actually schedule a time with me,to which he responds that it will just take about 30 minutes he needs to get on the roof. I asked once again for him to please leave as by this point we are almost late for my wife's appointment. He tells me that it will be really quick and that he is just going to be outside and that he had talked to my landlord and starts to get a ladder out. My wife at this point stepped out side and advised that if he did not leave the police would be called. To this he says he is going to call my landlord. I am attempting to call my landlord at the same time and am unable to get through but he does and and shortly after my landlord calls me. I explain to my landlord what has been going on and we rescheduled for a different day. According to Residential Landlord-Tenant Act (RCW 59.18) 24 hours notice must be give to tenants when work is to be done outside their home, but that would be impossible for a landlord to do with this company as they just show up and then call the landlord, or don't give the landlord time to contact the tenant. Also there are peeping Tom laws that apply to service companies. Again don't use this company.

I just saved thousands of dollars! After discovering mold in my attic, I got three quotes for repairs--the highest exceeding $18,000+ from an attic company! That didn't even address the root cause of a poor ventilation design, so the mold would have returned. Clay, the owner of Eagle Roofing, discovered the design problem, and he and his crew were able to fix the ventilation, add insulation, and treat the mold for a third the cost of the attic company. In addition, he scheduled a followup visit in January to see if additional adjustments are needed -- at no extra cost! No wonder Eagle Roofing has an A+ rating from BBB!

The average roof replacement cost for a residential home typically ranges from $7,000 to $15,000, depending on factors such as roof size, chosen materials, roof pitch, and labor rates in your area. Premium materials or complex designs may increase the price.
The cost to replace the roof of a commercial building typically ranges from $5 to $12 per square foot, depending on several factors such as roof size, material, labor rates, building type, and local code requirements.
Several factors influence roof repair cost, including the extent of the damage, roof accessibility, material type, labor costs, and whether it’s a general repair or an emergency fix. Minor repairs can start around $150–$400, while major repairs may exceed $1,500.
Roof leak repair cost generally ranges from $300 to $800, depending on the size and location of the leak, the materials required, and labor intensity. Complex leaks involving structural repairs or interior damage will cost more.
Flat roof repair cost for commercial properties usually ranges from $500 to $3,000, depending on the roofing material (TPO, EPDM, PVC), the extent of the damage, and roof accessibility.
Mobile home roof replacement cost typically ranges from $3,000 to $8,000, making it generally more affordable than traditional home roof replacements, due to smaller size and simpler structure.
It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.
The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.
To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.
Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.
When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.
Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
