We had Alex install a new outlet on our roof deck and the outlet died almost immediately. I went up there to see what was going on and realized that Alex hadn't used an outlet that was outdoor rated. I also noticed that he didn't bother installing the box so that it sat flush against the wall or caulk it to prevent water from going down the back into the receptacle. I also found that Alex used a black wood screw on one side instead of the outlet bolt which damaged it and I had to replace. I have had no issues since replacing this outlet properly myself. Alex was also supposed to fix the switch for our back yard lights and never came back to finish it. When I took it apart to do it myself I found out that all he had done was disconnect the ground wire from it. Alex couldn't even figure out how to open our breaker panel to get started on the electrical work which was a big red flag from the beginning. I've attached an image of how Alex left the drywall he damaged around the stair light that I ended up having to fix myself. Alex rarely showed up when he said he was going to and required constant calls and texts reminding him of when he was supposed to be there. Save yourself the headache and pay the extra money for a professional.

Window manufacturer came to try to fix and said it was one of worst installations they’d seen. One example - Exterior window frames weren’t nailed it and now coming apart. No response to requests to fix. Now spending thousands to redo shoddy work. Lesson learned - you get what you pay for.
