Carla and team are excellent. Superior knowledge, excellent and constant communication, and skilled, quality workmanship. I’m a veteran real estate broker and work with tons of contractors. Have not had this positive and reliable of an experience in a long time. They tackled an urgent siding job and delivered in less time than quoted. Would absolutely recommend for future jobs.

Carla Snorteland came to our West Seattle house for give an estimate for full residing and window replacement. Throughout the conversion, I felt that she is knowledgeable with different siding products, how they are made and how they should be installed. She was very honest with her recommendation and gave me good advice with our current vinyl siding. We ended up proceeding with siding repair instead of whole siding replacement therefore couldn't comment on workmanship. I think DOM construction would have done a great job if we needed full siding scope of work. I definitely will keep their contact info for future projects. Thanks Carla for saving us from a full siding project that we didn't need.

We were referred to DOM Construction by a contractor we've known and trusted for many years. We were looking to replace the ancient (original!) cedar shingles on our 1926 house. Ken from DOM came out on the day and time he said he would to evaluate the job, and we had a quote within about three hours, which we accepted.
About three weeks later, their crew came out on the day and time they said they would start the work. They said it would take them about one week to do the job. It took exactly one week.
They were extremely hard-working and professional. (Two of my neighbors commented favorably on how punctual and quick-working they were.) They were always ready to answer questions, and reached out promptly if they had questions.
We could not be more pleased with the results. They replaced all the siding and trim with Hardie Plank and Hardie Trim, added flashing, metal sill wrap, new attic and crawlspace vents, and caulked everywhere needed. They cleaned up every day, and did a thorough cleaning at the end, leaving the site in better condition than they found it. I recommend this company very highly.

Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.
Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.
When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.
Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
