I had Nick and his team replace my roof and repair other structures from hail damage. Nick was very detailed in his assessment and was able to work with the insurance to cover all eligible damages. Work was performed on schedule. Recently when selling the home, we uncovered a few issues during regular home inspection. I called Nick and he dispatched his manager Silvio and crew within the next day to resolve them to the satisfaction of the buyer, and submitted a full report of work done with explanation.

Nick, the owner came out on a Sunday to look over some damage done to my roof. He did a thorough inspection and came back with reasonable repairs. His crew was able to come back the next day and take care of the work they said they would do. I appreciate the promptness and fair price to get the work done.

The roofer was hired by the buyer's realtor to inspect our roof during the sell of our home.

We live on 1 side of a duplex.

The roofer came while we were not at home on 4/14/24 Sunday morning. He invited himself to use his ladder to climb onto the duplex neighbor's balcony to get up onto the roof, trespassing. He did not have permission from either us or the neighbor to get up onto the balcony.
The neighbors, who are a young couple with a small child, were terrified!

Following that, he provided a fraudulent report that included pictures of the damaged roof from our other neighbor's free standing unattached home. (as we live in a duplex, we might assume he would include pictures of the entire duplex roof, however this home is a free standing home next door). He also took it upon himself to include items he was not asked to assess and include those items for repair in his assessment.

Attached is the estimate he sent. The last picture is not our roof. He also indicates that the fascia around our garage door is rotting. Firstly, he was not asked to assess that and secondly, it's not rotting.

Nick helped to realigned my water heater vent pipes today. he is really knowledgeable and professional, while he was on the roof he noticed a small hole (possibly done by a bird), he fixed the hole for me too!!! After a hail storm in May 2023, we contacted Discount Roofing based on a referral from our son and we are so glad we did. Their project manager, Silvio, came out the next week to inspect the damage, worked with our insurance carrier to insure all damage was reported and our roof was replaced two weeks after the storm. These guys are truly a quality company. They replaced our roof about 12 years ago and its still holding up and looks beautiful.
It was for an insurance claim and they handled it wonderfully for us. There were parts of our roof that insurance didnt cover as there was no issues. After a big storm, one part of the roof started leaking. We called discount roofing and they sent Silvio out to take a look and find us an affordable solution. Silvio is incredibly nice, knowledgeable and genuine. He gave us an affordable quote and scheduled Adrian to come out and fix it 2 days later. Adrian was extremely nice, proficient and professional. He had the roof repaired in a couple of hours. We have had several storms hit since the rapair and have had no more leaks.
These guys truly are a quality company from the employees to their quality of care and work! I highly suggest using them!!

I had a great experience with Discount Roofing after a storm totaled the roof on my Flower Mound home. I worked with Zeb from Discount Roofing and he was great! He was very responsive and handled everything from the first phone call up until the whole job was finished. He went and inspected the roof first, then met with my insurance claims adjuster, brought me different shingle samples, discussed all the different options, etc. and kept following up until the new gutters were up and the job was done. He even found damage my insurance co missed and got me paid extra for those items.

The Discount Roofing crew did a phenomenal job. They left everything very clean and the new roof looks great. They even upgraded me from the standard 3-tab shingles to the nicer architectural shingles for free. That made a big improvement on the look of the house. I know there are a lot of roofing companies out there but give these guys a call and see what they can do for you, I'm glad I did.

You have to use Nick. Read this review and you'll understand why. I've worked with Nick multiple times over the years and will continue to do so. Not only does he do great work at a great price, more important than anything, you can trust him 100%!! He will not lie to you, stretch the truth or overcharge you because he wants extra money in his pocket. A great example is with a friend I just referred him to this month.

She was told by another contractor that she needed a new roof, gutters, fence, you name it. He also told her they didn't make her shingles anymore. Wanted her to call and start the claim process. I told her to hold off and let Nick check it out because I knew her roof was upgraded and not that old. He came out and assessed the damage. Was there damage, yes. Enough to warrant an insurance claim, absolutely not. And they do still make her shingles. The other contractor just wanted a job and it's likely saying they don't make her shingles was going to be his approach with insurance in an effort to get a replacement. There wasn't enough damage so by saying they don't make the shingles anymore, insurance will sometimes replace it all so there's not different shingles. She would have had a claim on the home and been out a large deductible. Instead, Nick was honest with her about what is and is not a risks and advised her to hold off on any claims. He did some small repair work that was needed on the spot and advised her to hold off on some of the cosmetic damage. There will be more hail this year and the best thing she can do from a financial standpoint at this time is hold off. Not file a claim unless the whole roof truly needs to be replaced.

This supports what I say when I say you can trust him 100%. It's not about getting a job for him. It's about being honest and doing what's right for his clients. Building relationships, building trust. With that, he will naturally get more business, repeat business, and referrals. Unfortunately contractors like this are few and far between and because of that, I will always do business with Nick and recommend him to friends and family.

Every year we drive my granddaughter around to look at the Christmas lights on people’s houses; she makes us drive nice and slow so that she can take in and appreciate every detail. Last month she turned six—the age where kids start to form those special childhood memories, so I wanted to surprise her by having lights put on her house for Christmas as well as my own. I’ve never had this done professionally before but contracted with Nick Holmans, who owns Discount Roofing, and who gave me peace of mind when he assured me no damage would result from having lights professionally put on our houses.

I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted, so Nick showed me photos of homes he’d done and offered ideas for each of ours. (I love white lights and had no idea they had three shades of white to choose from!) He definitely made this a special experience by not only doing an impeccable job, but by also adding finishing touches, such as giant wreaths that made our homes look like they belonged in a snow globe! I was and still am in awe.

When discussing options with him, it was readily apparent how much he cared about his clients having a good experience; he shared how much he loved watching the whimsical expression on his clients’ faces when the lights were turned on. He was also very professional not only with me but with his team as well. (Plus, when putting up my daughter’s lights, he discovered a “dent” at the top of her roof that we wouldn’t have known about before…) I’m beyond amazed at how quickly he was able to make this happen for us and how perfectly symmetrical the lights were hung. (He and his team did both of our houses back-to-back on the same day!) And we’re not talking about basic, tiny lights: his lights are big, bold, and impossible for Santa to miss!

I also found out Nick’s company does solar, which my daughter is interested in—and after working with him, if I ever have any roofing needs, I will definitely be calling Nick. I had the opportunity to work with Kameron from Discount Roofing on replacement of the roof and gutters of our 5,000 sq-ft, two-story home with steep angles following severe hail damage in the spring. Kameron did a great job of striking the balance between appropriately following up while never being inconvenient. He did a great job helping us finalize our choices on shingle and gutter color (he only suggested a color once we'd asked him directly what he thought, but we ultimately selected his recommendation and the end result is exceptional!) We solicited competitive bids but decided to go with Discount Roofing because it was clear they were focused on the quality of the job and carefully selected materials and techniques that enabled their crews to provide a superior result. They surrounded the house with netting to catch debris and prevent damage to our home and landscaping and also did an excellent job covering our pool. When the cover was removed, there wasn't a single piece of roofing material or any nails in the pool. I had the opportunity to talk to Nick, who was onsite both days of our installation. He runs an excellent company and was professional in his handling of matters. My wife and I always felt like we knew what was going on and what to expect. I am extremely happy with the result and couldn't have asked for a smoother execution from the Discount Roofing team.

What can I say but WOW!! Nick totally took care of every detail after the hail storm on April 28th on our roof. He explained what needed to be done and saw issues from the previous roof work and corrected them! His crew was very friendly and helpful answering any questions we had. The way they covered up our flower beds and pool so that no debris would fall in was very impressive as I have not seen other roofers do that! Very professional, work was completed in one day and workmanship was excellent. They recommended and added passive vents at their cost. My attic is well ventilated and cooler now. I expect that to translate to some energy savings. Overall, very satisfied.

We contacted Nick and he called us right back and came out that day to look at the roof he was so professional and his crew. Nick was so nice helping me looking at shingle samples. They put up netting around the whole house to protect our windows, brick on house and landscaping day of installation of new roof. They arrived at the time that was said and finished our roof that evening plus when cleaning up the yard used magnets to make sure no nails in yard and driveway. There was nothing on ground or around perimeter of our home the crew plus Nick made sure everything was cleaned up before leaving and they collected excess shingles making sure the smallest little things were picked up. Nick showed us things that weren't done from a previous roofer and made sure they were corrected with what should have been done from previous roofing company. I can not provide details for their roofing work quality, however their employees driving their company truck this weekend were openly rude and disrespectful to me and my family this weekend. When pulling my boat out of the lake a friend inadvertently parked in front of their parked vehicle at lake Ray Roberts. While we were helping my pregnant daughter out of the boat, their employees returned to their vehicle and were able to get around with little problem, then proceeded to back their sea doo trailer back in front of my truck, almost hitting mine, making me have to back out. It was a very passive aggressive move just to be jerks. I wouldn't do business with a company that acts this way, and I would suggest other avoid them as well.

Nick was up front and Ryan completed the work clean, professional, and on time. I would refer their services to those needing roofing work in the future. I'm glad I chose Discount Roofing after the wild hail storm we experienced in our neighborhood, I have seen so many complaints on our neighborhood social page about many different company that came out of the woodwork after the storm.
