We had Davis Roofing do a complete tear off and reroof of our home. We were given a fair and reasonable assessment of the costs. All the work was completed in a timely manner on the promised day. Area was completely cleaned up at the end of the roofing project and gutter installation was done by Davis following the roof. We are completely satisfied with the entire project and would highly recommend Davis Roofing.

If you need a new roof, call David Roofing. I couldn’t be more please with the work and level of service we received. The work was completed quickly and the clean-up was awesome. Pricing was also $7000 less that the competitors I solicited bids from. You will not be sorry if you use them.

BTW - Mike came out to my house after an incident that could have damaged the roof (not two weeks after the install) and walked the roof and inspected it for damage without charge. That’s service!

The new Owens/Corning roof shingles and gutters, installed in fall 2024, is a pleasure to view and a great improvement. The crew was efficient, working steadily to insure the roof was done properly and clean up was thorough. Our contact, Mike, was incredibly helpful in the selection of the roof type/shingle color, matching the fascia for the gutters and replacement of the chimney surround. Davis Roofing’s experience showed in all aspects of the process.

Davis replaced my roof last year. They did good work, were fast, and affordable. Today I needed a roofer on short notice to finish vents for a bathroom installation and Mike was at my house within an hour! Fast and reliable.

The guys who installed the roofs on my garage and house were great, efficient and quick. They showed up by 7:15 and were done before 5:15 pm. The crew was about 10 guys and they pretty much worked non-stop.

I’m building a house in another State. I called Davis Roofing to ask if they would provide addresses of a couple of homes they did in a certain shingle color. They were wonderful. They took the time to research this for me. Then spent a lot of time on phone w me educating me about roofs. They did this knowing there was nothing in it for them. This is the company you need! I will call them when I need to reroof my primary home.

They did a great job on our roof & gutters. Mike is easy to work with, very nice crew, and thorough cleanup. We’re very happy with the results.

In October of 2022 Mike Nolan came out to inspect my roof and give me an estimate. He told me that he was there for me and just give them a call if I needed anything. I called to have them do some roof repairs, but he never returned my calls. In 2023 I gave him another chance and he came out to give another estimate. In July of 2023 I accepted his bid. I called him after a month went by with no communication from him or the company. He said to me that he was going on vacation and wouldn't be back until after August 5th. He said he would call me with a time to do the project after he got back. That call never came. I called him one more time after that and he never returned my call. I called the company and they told me they would put my work at the top of the list, she apologized and she would definitely have Mike call me. That call never came. Thanks Mike!

That’s where Davis Roofing comes in. Dan made the process simple, smooth and completely worry free. While I was panicking about the damage to my house, they had all the solutions.

After being so frustrated by other contractors who either didn’t show up, or were insanely priced, Davis Roofing calmly and professionally showed up on time and quickly produced an absolutely reasonable and fair price. Of which, my insurance had no issue pushing through.

Once it was accepted, Dan took over. Like a hero in the night, all the obstacles were being tackled without me even knowing. Once he called me and let me know the permits were obtained, he was able to come out, literally, the next day.

His guys were there prompt and ready to work. And here’s the thing before even touching my roof, they wrapped a tarp around my rose bushes and other flowers in my garden bed such as not to harm them. They moved my patio furniture and tarped my a/c unit and my patio.

They were done in. 4. Hours. That was it. 1/2 a day. No coming back, no waiting for materials, no wasted time. It was that simple. Oh yeh, and while my wife was working from home, she wasn’t bothered in the slightest by their presence and was easily able to do her job without loud noises or people lingering.

Lastly they were super flexible on payment. Without going into details with me per se, but Dan is a human being, who treated me like a human being. It wasn’t awkward and he was eager to help.

This all happened while I was at work. Imagine my huge surprise when I came home to a beautiful new roof, and my yard all cleaned up to boot. They were fast, friendly and welcoming.

Honest, trustworthy, and dependable, they could have sold me on something I didn’t need and instead, they chose the good guys rout and gave me only what I needed, instead of trying to get a sale. They replaced my roof and gutters and have me gutter guards all in one day. Great group of guys very reasonable.

Davis roofing did an amazing job on my roof. I engaged with them last year when I had an insurance claim and they helped with estimates and photos and even came to the insurance inspection.

Had a leak a couple days after install, they argued with us and decided to cuss at me on the phone about fixing it. i had to repair a wall of drywall, mud, sand, paint etc. in our new kitchen. they didn't connect the plywood correctly on a corner of the roof and multiple nails showing past shingles whch had to be sealed and another sealing problem that was discovered by a separate roofing repair company that we had to hire because Davis roofing would not fix or take responsibility for their mistakes. it cost us an additional 800$ to have all of this repaired. We filed a complaint with our township for granting a permit to this company. This total does not include my time and money to repair the wall in our kitchen. Call a different roofing company, there are plenty of them out there.

We had our roof project completed in 2018 and have been very happy with the results. Davis roofing were the easiest company to work with through the whole process including the actual installation. Their quality workmanship is evident 2 years after installation as we have had no issues and the roof all looks and performs extremely well.

Davis Roofing recently replaced the roof on our home. They upgraded the attic venting and easily installed the tube skylights we wanted. They were professional and easily contacted when we had questions. We highly recommend Davis Roofing and could not have had a better experience.

After getting quotes from several local businesses and doing our research, we decided on Davis Roofing to handle our much needed roof and gutter replacement. Thankfully, we're very glad we did. The sizeable crews that came out to finish both jobs arrived bright and early, worked diligently until the job was done, and asked and answered questions as they came up to get the job done right. Best of all, the yard and deck were cleaner afterward than when they arrived! Plus, it was all done for a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend Davis Roofing & Construction, and will be a repeat customer when our siding and soffits get done.

Stay far away from Davis Roofing and Construction. We needed a new roof in 2014 and Dan seemed very upfront and honest. We hired him and then later he referred us to his father for siding and gutter replacement. Everything seemed great at first, but we noticed a piece of the drywall of our ceiling starting to pull apart. Our house was built in 61, so I figure it is simply settling issues.

Fast forward to last year (2018) and there is water leaking down the wall. I call Dan and he hesitates to even send anyone out telling us that it must be our humidifier. Eventually he folds and sends Jason out. Talk about unprofessional. Jason tells me that it is definitely because we have our heat in the house up "too high". This is winter and we keep our home at 65 at night and 68 during the day. I don't believe that to be too unreasonable. Jason tells me since we can't see the leak there is nothing that can be done, but he'll be a nice guy and go up on the roof anyway. While he is up there, I cut out an 8 ft by 16" piece of the drywall and pull out the insulation to expose what is clearly a leak coming through the boards of the roof - in fact, I can feel the shingle. Jason tells me that it is an "act of God" and cannot be fixed at cost to them. He then blames it on improperly pitched gutters which Dan's dad put on the house.

I call Dan, the owner, after Jason leaves and he tells me that I need to go through my insurance - essentially asking me to commit insurance fraud which I, morally and ethically, cannot do. He tells me that this is the same as if a tornado were to tear off the roof which clearly this is not the case. He then continues to tell me that it cannot be the roof and that he has done hundreds of jobs and none have ever had problems, apparently everyone else on yelp didn't have any problems either.... He then tells me it is from the gutters as Jason did. He tells me to call Chris. When I ask who Chris is he tells me it is the guy that did my gutters. I then assure him that it was his dad that did the job. He tells me his dad is retired, so he can be a nice guy and re-pitch the gutters. What he doesn't state is that he has inherited his dad's business - just like he did the roofing business. So, he is legally bound to the warranty of the work performed by his crew and his father's crew that now works with him. So, he tried to pass off the faulty work on another company that does gutters!

Now, the roof leak is worse and we see black running down the drywall of our ceiling every 16 or so inches which means there is probably a major problem with the construction of the entire roof. Last year after Dan did finally send someone out to re-pitch the gutters, the guys showed up with no appointment after he explicitly stated that he would make an appointment since I wanted to be home when the work was performed. I went to check it out after my wife told me some "random guys" showed up and walked on the roof without even ringing the doorbell. I will update with a link to pictures and video of the horrible shoddy work. When I told Dan that my son takes more pride in his work he told me I was being hostile and that there was "nothing he could do to please me". All I want is for him to come by and fix the portions of the roof that his crew performed a poor job on. Now we are dealing with the city and IL Department of Professional Regulation. I hope things can be resolved soon because not mold is clearly developing in our home.

Please stay away from this company. We went with them because Dan seemed honest and had low prices. Unfortunately, we paid a low price and got a low quality service. While the job was being performed, Dan had some bigoted remarks and homophobic comments about others, so he was not the nice guy we thought he was. After the job was complete, he refuses to make it right when things go wrong. This roofing job turned out to be an absolute nightmare!

From the moment I met with Dan, I knew we had our contractor. His presentation of the quality service, materials he provides and the referrals proves there is a reason this company has been around for over 30 years and three generations. Maintaining a Platinum Preferred Contractor with Owens-Corning. He/they know their stuff.

Dan's office support, Gina, also deserves a major kudos for fielding all my questions and concerns (Mechanics daughter - I can't help it ). She was able to respond freely with her own knowledge. If there was something she just was not quite 100% on she had Dan reach out to me quickly. I have yet to feel put off by this company with their response time.

Can't wait for Spring to start our project. I've done my homework on the quality of service they provide- they came highly recommended. I am very confident that my review upon completion of our 11 buildings will be same tone and praise.

From the time Dan came out to give an estimate to the time that they took to do the roof was amazing a job well done he explain every detail what to expect in my opinion I would recommend Dave's Roofing to anybody who needs a roof at a fair price and good quality work and honest work

From Dan to his installers even the young lady in the office who does all the paperwork made the the process so easy thank you great job keep up the good work

I would recommend Davis Roofing for your exterior needs. They did my roof, siding and gutters and it looks like a new home. They went above and beyond the job by replacing some areas of rotten wood and didn't even increase the quote. The crew left the area clean of debris and except for the supplies they were using, you wouldn't have know they were there. Dan, the owner, even worked on the pricing since I was doing my project right when the tariffs hit. Davis Roofing did an excellent job I am even having them coat my flat roof which I wasn't going to originally do but with his reasonable pricing and good quality of work, I figure what the heck. Dan's pricing was very fair and believe me I looked around. Job well done.

Dan and his crew put on a new roof for me a couple years ago. It was a quick, reasonably priced job. I was very happy with it all. A few weeks ago, in the horrible rain, the roof developed a small leak around a vent. I called and someone from Davis was at my house to check it that very day, even though it was still raining. Another gent was there the very next week to fix the problem. On the last big rain, I checked up in the attic and no leaks! I have worked with enough contractors to know that a warranty is often not worth the paper it's written on. Davis Roofing definitely stands by their warranty, and no goofing around trying to get out of it. What a delightful company to work with. I highly recommend checking out Davis Roofing if you need the work done.

I had a great experience with Davis Roofing. They came out as discussed, on time, with a large crew. They completed my roof tear off and new shingles installed all on the same day. They worked hard and were pleasant and professional the whole time. Mike and his crew were great. I’d recommend them to anyone.

After a tree fell and put four holes in my roof, I shopped around and found Dan and his crew. I have a ranch home and they stripped down the roof and replaced it in a day. He also had someone that could fix the metal work where my gutters were damaged from the tree and the color matches as well. Job Well Done!

Great upfront sales but didn't deliver as promised. The overall job went well, what didn't go well with one exception was quickly rectified after I did a walk through and pointed out a few areas of concern. Unfortunately one issue was left unresolved which to me is fairly major. The representative I was working with (Ean) agreed they should do the work after reviewing the contract and claimed he spoke to his Management (Dan) and that the work would be completed. Week and weeks went by with many calls and many "I will be there tomorrow" promises but it never happened. When I got in touch with the company, I was informed that they knew nothing about what Ean has promised and that they consider the job done. i am now left with an incomplete job and a sour taste in my mouth regarding Davis Roofing and Construction, Inc. They failed me, I have documentation and voicemail evidence and unfortunately am considering my legal options to resolve the issue. If anyone would like more specific detail, please feel free to reach out to me. I don't want to just bash this company because for the most part they did a pretty good job but they didn't finish it and once they had my money they completely disconnected with me. I never even got my paperwork as promised. Shame on me for writing that final check with the promise that they would come back the next day to finish up. Lesson learned.
