Mike was informative, honest and most importantly, empathetic to our situation. Our basement flooded on the same day that our tenants were moving. Mike and Oscar were able to set up the equipment and began the drying process within a few hours.

Our condo’s washing machine flooded our unit, and the 3 floors below us; Romexterra came within 2hrs of the call to mitigate, and then were great at responding to texts or calls, and keeping us informed of the status of everything. For additional insight into how great it was working with Romexterra-
the 2 other units in our building went with a DIFFERENT company, and they both had: floors finished in an incorrect color, with high gloss (asked for matte) and used oil based stain (highly frowned upon in multi-unit buildings- a small spark could have lit the whole place on fire while it was setting, which took multiple days, AND the fumes were so intense we had to leave our unit for our health), and had multiple items stolen!!! Including a checkbook!

SO, use Romexterra, they were responsible, communicative, and their contractors are trustworthy. 100/10!

I had Romexterra remediate a mold issue I had in my attic. Victor and Gustavo were the two technicians that performed the work. They were both very friendly, professional and competent. They worked in extreme heat and still effectively performed the work. After completing the work, they clean up the work area as if they were never there. I was extremely satisfied with the completed project.

Nobody ever wants to have to use a water mitigation service, but its pretty nice when you find a one stop shop for everything. We had a cracked pipe in our walls and water leaking everywhere. Igor from Romexterra came literally within the hour of me calling, examined exactly where the damage was in the walls and under the floors and got a crew in the next morning to start drying out everything. Once it was all dry, Patrick took over for the reconstruction. This was a rental property, and our insurance told us that they weren't going to cover loss of income due to a weird technicality in our policy. I asked Patrick if we could move fast and get the unit rentable again for the summer in 2 weeks, and the crew they brought in did an incredible job and finished exactly when they said they would. Would highly recommend Romexterra if you're ever in need of a water restoration service!

I want to share my experience to warn others about the deceptive business practices of Romexterra. During the very first visit—before any work had been done—Michael Guimond, their representative, asked me twice to leave a review for the company. That alone should have been a red flag.
Michael Guimond assured me that both the water mitigation and bathroom reconstruction would be fully covered by my homeowner’s insurance. At no point was there any discussion about the possibility of the claim being denied. He even stated that Romexterra is a "preferred vendor" for State Farm, reinforcing the idea that the work would be covered.
He pressured me into authorizing immediate service, claiming that any delay could jeopardize the insurance claim. He called it an "emergency" service—even though the leak only occurred when the shower was in use, and it was not an active emergency.
Fast forward: the insurance claim was denied, and Romexterra is now billing me over $3,000 just for water mitigation. To make matters worse, they added late fees while the claim was still being processed. On top of that, their crew caused over $13,000 worth of damage to my basement by carelessly removing drywall, bathroom tiles, and even cutting out the shower pan—which never should have been removed in the first place.
I will be filing formal complaints with consumer protection agencies and strongly urge others who have had similar experiences to do the same. Companies like Romexterra should be held accountable for misleading and pressuring homeowners with false promises.

Negative experience...
I needed them to evaluate the ceiling stain on our master bath ceiling and, MOST IMPORTANTLY, FIND THE ROOT CAUSE AND EVALUATE REMEDIES.
1. They scheduled a visit/assessment/estimate for 12-2 PM, but on the day of appointment Michael called me asking to come much earlier, which I could not do, and we rescheduled. No problem, real-life situation, happens to all of us.
2. New appointment: Walter showed up on a rainy day (wet outside) and started marching into our hard-floor living room, and to my request to remove his shoes he resentfully replied, "Can't do it, slip-and-fall hazard."
I asked if he had the shoe covers (that all servicemen have... in decent, reputable companies), but he replied, "Not anymore!"
Luckily, I had my own, and he "kindly and gracefully" agreed to put them on.
3. He quickly gave his $1,400 estimate to cut out a piece of ceiling drywall (apx. 3x3') and clean it up, not replace or paint it afterwards, only cut out and leave. He then "kindly and gracefully" reduced his estimate to $1,200.
I showed him a photo - no mold, just a small condensation stain.
My handyman told me he'd cut out the drywall for $50 and then clean, replace, and repaint for another $50-75.
4. I told him that I have to discuss it with my wife and get back to him/them, but he pressed, "You can do it now while I am here."
This is the pressure at its rudest/worst.
5. Next day the fist guy, Michael, called again asking if he could come earlier than 12-2. It turned out he mixed up the dates and called about the previous appointment he could not make on time. OK, no problem, they are confused, but this did me no harm.
6. Next day I received a survey from their 3rd party, but the survey link did not open, bad link.
I e-mailed (forwarded that survey e-mail) to their rep, Ashley twice, but...

Luckily, there are other choices for this service, NOT Romexterra.

Luke put our minds at ease and even is working with us on finding someone to properly look at the AC that is either clogged or has a faulty coil. The folks who came here, Ceaser and Jose, worked for HOURS to make sure we were all set on day 1 of this incident.

Highly HIGHLY recommend if you have State Farm.

So far we've only had a tech (Tony) out for an assessment of work to be done on some plaster damage due to rain leaks. I can't speak for a lot at this point, but what I can speak to is the company's professionalism and prompt response. I called yesterday to set up the appointment and received confirmation of the 2-hr appointment window by text (with Tony's photo) and email. Tony called when he was on his way and showed up well within the expected time. He was courteous, professional thorough and honest. He also let me know of their range of services without being pushy, which I appreciate. I'm not the ultimate decision maker in this particular project, but would feel comfortable moving forward with them if I was.

Had a great experience with Romexrerra for our water restoration project. Lucas was over within the hour of my initial call and was reassuring that everything can be fixed. Daniel and Cesar were out the next morning and helped with the mitigation process and were not only hard working but very professional. It was a pleasure working with Douglas with repairs. He was always helpful with answering all of our questions and concerns with dealing with our insurance. Special shout out to Chris and Mitch for all of their amazing work making our home feel like a home again with the repairs. They worked on our home for almost two weeks and they were always early to arrive in the morning before starting to work. They did a great job and were very respectful. Chris went above and beyond when my clock fell unexpectedly off the wall; he helped clean the mess and even drilled a new screw in the wall to help secure the clock. We were very pleased with Romexterra and would recommend to anyone.

Great company to hire! My wife and I used them for mold remediation as we get ready for our new born to arrive in our home we just bought. Victor and Huge were awesome! Mike G. I contacted Romexterra to help with the fire remediation on my rental property. Mike Guimond was great to work with. Once I got him my claim information he took over from there and worked with my insurance company to get everything cleaned up quickly. It's Good Friday, we're a church, and had a drain clog that flooded half the basement. Could have been an Easter disaster. Romexterra came out and got it done for us. Plumbers stayed until 2:00am to get drain unclogged, clean-up crew was up late and came early on Saturday. Did a great job and had great communication throughout the whole process. Special shoutout to Israel, who ran the crew, Randy, and Tony Mayoral, who managed the whole thing. Highly recommend!

There was a minor leak situation at my home , per google's recommendation I called romexterra, Mike visited in the evening , evaluated and told that he has a 24hr mitigation team who can find the cause of it and can start their work. They are not chargeable till the work is started. There was no quote or no charges mentioned but a WA signed.
mitigation guy came at night said that they will not attempt to find the cause , they can only cut open walls and ceiling ,(a very wide area ) and come after few days. Upon discussing with family members , since they were in panic mode especially at late night , I requested Mike to come next day morning to work. Immediately he started pushing me hard to do it the very immediate moment. He said the insurance will not pay if he start work next day so it has to be same night , The walls and ceiling must be opened big with multiple fans or else insurance wont pay etc... since I still want him to come in the morning,
On phone Mike said "I will cancel this project since insurance will not pay me money if I do it next day but I will refer you some other companies who can try to help with your issue. No charges at the moment, thank you for your call, we will leave now", he hung up and guys left . I got his calls on record.
I conveyed the same to my family that the project was cancelled by company.
After two weeks , I got a bill for the service that was initially cancelled by Romexterra , no work done and the charges were never communicated or agreed before.
Pushing the customer hard using panicking statements about condition of the house & about insurance processing requirements etc.. And billing the charges that was never discussed - weren't right at all.

Lucas was an absolute wonderful help to me when I was trying to get a claim number for getting the cleanup done. He explained to me what was going to happen with the cleanup and got the crew here today! I couldn't have asked to better guidance to deal with the insurance company or my situation here!! Thank you Lucas!

Charlie was excellent with explaining how the work would be done, type ofCover. paperwork, warranty, and payment. They came out on Monday and on Tuesday, I had a new Chimney cover. Everything in a timely manner. I'm a satisfied customer.

We just had an issue with raw sewage flooding our large finished basement. We wanted it resolved ASAP. We spoke to a couple companies about cleaning /restoring it but the experience with Mike G and Romexterra was by far the best. The company can handle all of our needs in restoration. Mike was quick to come out for estimation and quick to get the next phase started. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. He was upfront and transparent about the process and what needed to be done. He was clear on why it needed to be done. He was also able to explain general costs for these types of projects and how they work with insurance companies. Overall I am happy and confident that we will have our basement back to normal soon.

Due to problems with Insurance company work has been delayed. However, when I attempt to speak with the Owner of the company regarding the job I can only get Marie. This has been going on for months. Date of my case 09/2021.
As of to date 04/11/2023 I still haven't heard or received a call back.
Marie is constantly involved in other aspects of my case and tries to tell me what going on with others involved.
I have tried to ask her to stay in her own lane and allow me to handle my own property.
This had made me suspect about this company.
