We had the BEST experience with Dad's Specialty Contractors on our wind/hail damage insurance claim. Josh was so professional, knowledgeable and trustworthy. When insurance was pushing back on certain items, Josh was right there to help prove our case and we were able to get a replacement roof and siding. The work was completed in a timely manner and the quality was excellent! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, skilled and honest contractor.

We're very happy. Unlike many contractors and tradesmen I've dealt with in the past, Josh answered all texts and calls promptly, at least by the next day. He arrived for appointments when he said he would, provided all the info we needed and stayed in touch between November when we first spoke and April when the work was done. The crew arrived on time, protected shrubs and trees near the house, completed the roof in one day and cleaned up thoroughly after. We couldn't have asked for more.

After the tornado in March that went through Galena we had damage done to our roof. Then Helliene (that hurricane) came through and made the damage worse. I had 4 roof companies out and no one could get a new roof through our insurance company; it was such a long and hard road. I finally reached out to Josh with Dad's Specialty Contracting in November and he got the job done, within a month! Josh, not only saw the damage that was there but provided me with what I needed to get it to go through insurance by December. I can not say enough wonderful things about this company! Josh (the owner), was kind, easy to work, met with us numerous times to help us with the process and was extremely reliable, doing everything as he promised and explained. He spoke with me a number of times on the phone - easing my nerves and explained everything from top to bottom, so I would understand what was happening and what I needed to do next! They got our beautiful roof done in 1 day. And as promised, came back the next day and got our gutters installed. Let me tell you, everything looks beyond AMAZING! His team was extremely professional and worked hard starting at 7:00 a.m. (as promised) - working through to 6:00 p.m. I just can't say enough wonderful things about all of them at Dad's Specialty Contracting! I am so happy to have my new roof and to have worked with such an amazing, professional company. Thank you, Dad's Specialty Contracting! You made my dreams come true! My house could not look any better! I am so happy you finally got the repairs done and my home is finally back to where we started, before the tornado and hurricane! During the spring storms we received a lot of damage to our siding, gutters & metal roof. Josh worked directly with our insurance company to obtain the approval for repairs. Our entire house was resided, part of the roof replaced and all of the gutters & downspouts replaced. All issues/concerns were addressed in a timely manner. Dad's Specialty Contracting did a GREAT job on my roof. This family owned company is very easy to work with and very reasonable rates. My roof was completed in one (HOT) day in a very professional manner. Josh walked me through the entire process and made it so simple from the estimate to completion. I even received drone pictures from the start of the process to the completed "masterpiece". To say I was pleased is an understatement. I would highly recommend this company for all of your home improvement needs.

Josh and his team's professionalism, assertiveness, and punctuality were second to none! Our property was assessed with an estimate very quickly. Josh was super helpful in getting insurance alignment after another company was unable to. From the insurance to color selection to install everything was great. Really good communication pre/during/post. Neighbor even commented how quiet the crew was. Would definitely recommend!

After receiving multiple quotes for our roof, Josh from Dad’s just seemed to be more knowledgeable than the other two contractors. With his insight, attention to detail and competitive pricing it seemed to be a no-brainer. We are extremely pleased with the lead time he provided, after finding areas that needed immediate attention. His crew showed up early and completed the job by 3:30PM on that same day. In spring of 2023 we reached out to Josh to help us re-side our home as our exterior siding was hitting over the 30 yr mark and we had a double graduation coming up. He went above and beyond to make sure it was completed in time and the exact look we were wanting. They came in ahead of schedule and we absolutely love it! In 2023, owner, Josh, examined my roof and found hail damage. Then, he arranged to be on site when the insurance company rep examined my roof and helped me understand the process. The work was done in a timely and conscientious fashion. He personally made sure things were done to my satisfaction. Communication is excellent.

Since replacing my roof, I brought Dad's Specialty Contracting back to do additional work in 2024. I recommend them without reservation.

2025 - Once again, I had additional work that needed to be done due to extensive issues with the trim on my house. Without hesitation, I once again contacted Dad's Speciality Contracting. Owner, Josh, exceeded my expectations when instead of just suggesting a plan designed to fix the issues; he made recommendations for repairs that will also help to prevent further wear and tear for a fair price. I also appreciate that Josh personally checks the work to ensure a job well done. They will remain my first choice for any future work I need to have done.

So I have to begin with.......I never take the time to complete surveys or leave reviews........I am taking the time to do this because Josh and his team were absolutely fantastic.....They were at my house early morning and completed the job by end of day just like Josh had explained.....They even took the extra time to tarp off things so my wife's flowers and plants didn't get damaged throughout the process...attention to details......They were great/ highly recommend

I had Dad's out to give an estimate for new roof a few months ago. After finding hail damage Josh explained the process of pursuing an insurance claim. Josh & Cody met with the insurance adjuster & went over the whole home. Within a few weeks I had a new roof, new siding on the entire home & insulation placed in the attic. Excellent communication throughout the project by Josh & Cody. Would highly recommend.

Dad's took care of us a couple months ago. Was very impressed. Large house, large barn and two other garages. A total of 4 buildings done in one day start to finish. Did an excellent job with communication during the process and an even better job cleaning up at the end. Would recommend them to anyone. No job to BIG or small.
