Dennis and Creative Habitat did a wonderful job installing our new garage door. The door was up and operating in a few hours. Scheduling was very easy. The team gave us some good tips on future renovations and other small things to help reinforce the structure for other uses. I had been looking around for sometime for an all-around contractor that I felt could do a good job building my custom garage. Then I met Dennis from Creative Habitat Builders. He explained that he and his crew could do just that, and at a reasonable price in a reasonable amount of time. He showed me plenty of examples of their work, and described many custom installations that they had already done. So I decided to let them prove their talent. They went to work by pulling all the necessary permits and negotiating several design changes to become compliant with city code. In fact, Dennis was very easy to work with to incorporate necessary changes as they came up throughout the build. He was true to his word about installing custom items, such as:
220 V wiring throughout the building.
Installing 14 inch laminated beams for cross ties to support a 2 ton I-beam, trolley, hoist system.
Multiple level lofts.
Vented soffits with insulation throughout.
10 foot walls with a low pitch roof.
And I think it looks pretty darn good as you can see by the pictures.
I have several other jobs that I’d like to get done in 2024. I find it hard to imagine that I would even look at another build contracting company for those jobs.

From initial estimate to final sign off/completion, everything went perfect! Dennis and his team were professional and awesome. Anytime I had a question or concern, he was able to answer it or resolve the problem. I’ve had several neighbors stop and tell me that they love the new garage. I would definitely recommend them and would use them in the future if needed.
