Northwest helped us with a kitchen renovation this spring. Terry, Scott and John came out and helped us plan it and had some great ideas for our kitchen. Scott did an excellent job with his carpentry skills adding a custom pantry cabinet to blend in and installed the new flooring. His attention to detail and expertise with plumbing and electrical brought our kitchen up to code. We used the company they partner with for the Quartz counter top, backsplash and composite sink. It was all installed perfectly. This was our 6th construction job with Northwest and we will hire them again for projects on our home. I like working with Laura in the office as she always answered my questions or had someone contact me right away.

NorthWest Construction is a great company to work with from Terry the owner, to Steve the roofing project manager, to everyone in between. They did on time quality work. Clean up from the roofing tear off was great. Both Terry and Steve explained what was being done, when and how and importantly why it needed to be done that way. I would hire them again on any of their services listed based off the experience I had with them on my roofing/gutter job.

Did a great job on the porch!, stepped up with guarantee, and redid the cap due to some issues with the top cement. Great job!

Had a new pillar and precast step installed. The porch looks better than ever. John, Scott and Joe did a professional job. Very affordable and will refer them in the future.

I recently had my gutters replaced and gutter guards installed by NorthWest, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience! From the start, their team was incredibly friendly and professional. We had NorthWest Construction make repairs and update our front porch, paint the trim along our roofline, and restain our front door. For the porch, we needed 2 columns replaced, a step replaced, and tuck pointing. Terry provided us with great recommendations and he was spot on because the final work looked great! His expert crew of masons and carpenters were able to work with the quirks of our house and make everything look wonderful. His painter worked miracles in restoring the color of our beautiful door and trim. We won't hesitate calling on NorthWest Construction again for future projects. Thank you Terry and team!

I had another roofing company out for a leak and was told I needed a new roof or at least a patch job. I called northwest and they checked my attic and my roof. John was very professional and had Steve come out and they found the problem was nails too close together. Saved me $2000. and was told my roof might last another 2-4 years. Very honest, professional and friendly. I will be calling them when I need my new roof.

Northwest has helped us with two projects. We now call them first. I appreciate that they do large jobs and smaller jobs. They have helped us with siding repair on a couple areas of our house and went above and beyond to match it to existing siding. Recently we hired Northwest to help with porch repair, removing railings and replacing front steps. We have always appreciated the professionalism, quality work, and good communication!

Nothwest Construction contracted to install 2 entry doors and 2 storm doors on my home. John L. responded any issues and Scott installed the doors. The project was finished to my complete satisfaction.

I had Northwest out to fix my plumbing stack and install new kitchen cupboards and a bathroom vanity. Their service was impeccable. They stayed in budget and in time. I highly recommend them for any of your construction needs.

We are very pleased with our new roof from Northwest! We called SO MANY roofing companies over the last 2 years.. all the most popular ones you can think of we probably got a quote. Northwest by far had the best materials and price. We had one company come out and quote us $7,000 more using the same exact materials they use at Northwest. They all pretend they can lower the price by 1k if you sign RIGHT NOW.. don’t do that. No one at Northwest was pushy like that and it’s just another reason we felt we could trust them. One of our biggest concerns was attic ventilation since we have a bungalow with 3 separate attic areas.. Terry and John really worked with us to explain what made the most sense. I couldn’t believe how fast they came out to start the roof! My husband was concerned about it getting too cold later in October but we knew it would probably be a few weeks before they started.. to our surprise they were here to start within a week from signing the papers! The roof looks amazing and we will be referring anyone who asks, thank you Northwest!

I can't say enough wonderful things about NorthWest Construction. Terry and his team are the honest contractors, something that is hard to come by. Everyone was very kind and professional. The work was done on time and as promised. The quality of work and the product used was superior. I had Northwest Construction take down my T1 11 siding on the Garage and replace it with Vinyal siding. Terry went to great lengths to match that to my home. I am very pleased with the end results. I also had Terry fix the flashing on the chimney and it looks fabulous. Awesome communication speedy work pleasant and professional. I will recommend, and use Northwest Construction again.

We recently got our roof replaced by Northwest. Terry came out and gave us the quote while explaining all the different options for ventilation and shingles. Only a few weeks later the crew came out and installed the new roof. They worked very quickly, were extremely independent, and friendly every time we spoke with them. When they were done they cleaned the area completely and left things in much better shape then when they arrived.

I definitely recommend them for any roofing job!

Terry and his crew did an awesome job from start to finish! They were very thorough and professional throughout the whole process from estimating to completion. Our entire house and garage needed to be re-sided after a large tree fell on the house. They did all the required structural work to make a good base and did a great job on all the finish work down to the last detail. Terry also went the extra mile obtaining and installing some badly needed windows for our garage. The advice he gave on what types of siding would be best and where to use different finishes was invaluable. Our house and garage have never looked better! They were an absolute pleasure to work with! Hire them, you won't regret it!

Unacceptable and overall bad experience in just getting a quote.
I sent in a request for an estimate via the company website on 3.8.22 and received a call back within an hour that Terry Burke, the owner, could come out on the following Saturday, 3.12.22 to review, take measurements and see what I needed. He requested my email address, and I was told he would need time to figure out the cost of material etc. Instead of emailing me the quote, he sent it in the mail. I received the quote on 3.18.22 (Friday) and it did not have all that I requested on the quote so I called on Saturday, 3.19.22 and Terry answered the telephone and said he was up to his eyeballs in work, and he wouldn’t be able to get me the quote for the other items I requested until the following Tuesday or Wednesday. I asked him to send an email since mail lately is taking more time AND HE AGREED HE WOULD. Here we are almost 2 weeks later, and I got crickets. Not a word or call or nothing. So, I assume by now there is no interest in doing work at my home. From start to finish my planning purposes to get things done at my house is almost a month in. This is totally unacceptable to make a homeowner wait, and I will not take any of your excuses. I have just now looked at some reviews and they mention waiting also. Do you know that I have been checking my email daily and the mail for your quote? You seemed promising to me but now I can image if you do this for a quote the work must be the same. This is a non-caring attitude. You ARE NOT a man of your words. Do not tell your clients one thing and then do another (whatever YOU feel like). If not interested say so – so we can move on. Also, I WILL NOT TAKE ANY OF YOUR EXCUSES BECAUSE THERE ARE NONE. Start calling and informing your clients of YOUR process.

I had some work done on my home and the repairs were so good you couldn’t even tell where it was done. The owner came and inspected the work and we had a really great conversation. I was so fond of them that the next time I needed a repair I knew who to call and of course they didn’t disappoint. If I ever need any more work done they will definitely receive my business. I originally hired NorthWest to replace fascia on a garage at a cemetery. When they took a closer look it was revealed that we also needed some of the wood on the roof replaced. There was a lot of rot. They replaced all the wood, put down shingles and trim and new gutters. They did a beautiful job and it was quick.

Then I had them do my home and garage. New roofs, vents, and gutters. Again, showed up everyday at 9 am like clockwork and worked all day until everything was done. Another thing I liked, is the 2 men that did the work, worked at a steady pace and did not have music blaring like I have seen at other places.

I have since recommended NorthWest to others.

Very satisfied with the roof replacement on my home by NorthWest Construction. Terry Burke took the time to explain options available to me to enhance the appearance and efficiency of the roof replacement. I ended up choosing some additional work like GAF IntakePro Rooftop Intake Vent at the eaves and GAF Cobra Snow Country Advanced Exhaust Vent for the Roof Ridge. In my opinion, the results are a much cleaner looking and efficient roof replacement. Overall I would recommend NorthWest Construction for any home improvement projects and will be asking NorthWest Construction for a quote on any additional home improvement projects I might be considering in the future.

Heard nothing but great things about this company. Had them out to measure our kitchen for a renovation. Was told they would have estimate in 7-10 days. After 2 weeks, I called. They said beginning of next week. Waited another week, called again. Was told they would call me back in 20 minutes, never heard from them. This was 5 days ago. Frustrating, just do what you say you are going to do.

This company sent two guys (John) was one of them out to my home. They seemed to be interested in doing my bathroom project and said they would email me a quote after they took measurements and discussed details of what I wanted. After 2 weeks, I called and asked the receptionist if she knew when I was going to received my quote and she stated "I will let them know you called and they will get back with you". I never heard from them, so I moved on and called them back after almost another 2 weeks, no answer, left a voice message letting them know I found a another contractor and it was very unprofessional for them to not follow back up or communicate with me. STILL NO RESPONSE...Smh

NorthWest Construction fixed my siding for a good price. There was a bit of miscommunication scheduling the job at first, but at the end of the day everything worked out. All the employees I met were nice and professional.

I am very pleased with the work that Terry, Steve, and the crew performed on my house. From the beginning, Terry Burke, went up on the roof and in the attic, to access damages and repairs needed, I was so impressed with his honesty, he sent me pictures of each step of the project along with explanations, who does that? I would also like to thank Laura for her special assistance. I forgot to mention that NorthWest Construction company was referred to me from other satisfied customers (my neighbors)

After calling several other roofing contractors who all tried to sell me a new roof without explaining the leak I had; I contacted Northwest Construction based on a friend’s recommendation. I am SO glad I did!

They showed up when promised, inspected my roof and told me right away that I did not, in fact, need a new roof. John took photos and thoroughly explained the issue. He priced everything out and explained what would happen. Within a week my roof was repaired/sealed and John followed up within a few days to make sure I was satisfied with the completed work.

From the first phone call to the final visit everyone was professional, friendly, honest and rooted in integrity. I’ve already recommended Northwest Construction to several friends. They will certainly be my first call when I have any additional home improvement or roofing needs.

We have used NorthWest in the past to re-roof our residence and garage. The crew did a fine job. On this occasion we engaged NorthWest to replace the gutters. Again, a fine job. There was one minor hiccup which was addressed by a small re-caulk. John Lakatos was a pleasure to work with. He quickly responded to my communications and followed-up in a timely fashion. I would recommend NorthWest and John, to anyone interested in securing competent and reasonably priced work.

My mother needed insulation added, general roof check up, and minor repairs to roof tiles. NorthWest Construction made sure to get our house taken care as quickly as possible to address these issues. Their price was reasonable and helped me get my mother's house ready for winter.

My fiance and I had our roof done and it looks great. They were very professional and quick. Got a great deal for the roof. Found out that they didmdid than just roofing, and we needed someone to take care of what we needed done to pass inspection. They gave us an estimate that was a fair price. We were able to work out a plan, and before we knew it, everything that my fiance and I needed done was done. We are very grateful for Northwest Construction for their help in getting our home approved for inspection.

It was tough to make my photo this small, but worth it. Have you ever, in your life, seen such a beautiful roofline? Me, too, neither. Despite the icy dread and howling winds of Noctvember 2019, the tenacious Northwest crew saw to it that this job got done. Stripped original roof off one-of-a-kind house, replaced with GAF shingles, replaced original skylights/blinds, did some clever and efficient rerouting of vents and bing, bang, boo , voila! There it is! Can’t love it more. Can’t say enough how pleased we are with the job. Northwest is our construction company.

Great experience! No one wants to deal with a leaking roof, but John made it easy and quick. They replaced the entire roof while we were out of town which made us a tiny bit uneasy just because we weren’t there if there were any hiccups, but by the time we go home everything was cleaned up perfectly, the roof looked amazing, and there’s no more leaking! Plan on using them for anything else we may need.

Laura & Terry are honest people. They treated me right and made sure I was completely satisfied.

I first had NorthWest out for a gutter and roof job. They began work on time and went the extra mile with flashing and other materials. I was happy. However, to be 100% satisfied, I requested that my downspouts were extended. Terry made sure that this was done promptly.

After this experience, I called for another gutter estimate at a different house. The price was reasonable and they put me on the schedule. Again, the quality of work was great with extras being attended too.

Lastly, I had them out again to take a look at possibly reinforcing my garage rafters. Terry inspected and advised that my rafters were in terrific shape and that work was not needed. Do you know of another contractor that would turn down thousands in work when you would be happy to pay? I don't. I'll keep calling NorthWest.

Terry was very professional and I wish he could have helped me. He came to my house about a potential leak from my bricks on the outside of my house. Was unable to help but stayed and consulted about possible causes and the right way to handle my situation. He gave me great advice and will definitely reach out in the future if I ever need anything else done. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Yes, they are busy and you might have to wait a little longer to schedule your job, but it is worth it. Any company can send a team out to tear off your roof and put it back on. I got three estimates and Terry was the only person who asked to look inside my attic space to see what was going on with my roof. He recommended enhanced ventilation to meet my needs. No other company took such a consultative approach to the project. I was extremely happy with the results after they replaced my garage roof and house roof. Absolutely beautiful. No company is perfect, and there are bound to be issues with any construction job, but Terry will follow up and make sure you are satisfied with the job. Highly recommend this company.

I first hired Northwest last spring to install siding on my garage and a new door. This summer I had them resurface the porch/flat roof on the second story of my house and place a railing. This had been an ongoing problem and I could not be more pleased with the results. They are very professional and super nice people. I would not hire anyone else.

I heard owner, Terry Burke, speak on the “Hire it Done” radio show. He impressed me as professional, knowledgeable and personable. I called him to come out for an estimate, and was very pleased with his comprehensive attic and roof inspection. He took notes and photos that he shared with me when going over the estimate and options. He sent a wonderful hardworking group of men with their crew leader, Steve, to do the job. Steve told me that he’d treat my house like it was his house. He really cared and was focused on the quality of the work. Terry was very good at communicating with me as the job proceeded and even was able to add in a change I requested. When the job was completed, Steve and the crew shook my hand and made sure all was cleaned up well. Terry did not collect final payment until the roof passed inspection with the city (which it did right away) and my warranty was in hand. I now have a well insulated beautiful roof. I was highly satisfied with NW Construction and highly recommend them.

NW Construction replaced my garage door and gutters and I was very pleased with their work and so I got a quote for the bathroom to be completely renovated (this was just completed). I was quite nervous to hire a construction company, as I have very little experience with contractors and renovations. But John walked me through the processes thoroughly, explaining everything, and his quote was very close to what I ended up paying (I added extras and so it cost more than the quote). He was pleasant to work with and his follow up was amazing. He looked at my attic insulation and said I didn't need it (thank you for your honesty!).

I am so happy with the finished bathroom! It really looks amazing! Very high-quality work was done by Rob and Carlos, who were also very pleasant and informative during the whole process. Because they were in my house all day, for several days, I was nervous at first (I am newly widowed), but they were complete gentlemen and professional. I cannot say enough about the quality of their work. The tile work looks perfect, and they gave me ideas on how to lay out the bathroom (I have never done this before). They showed up everyday at 8:30 AM, and always let me know if they needed to be late due to picking up additional supplies.

NW Construction has now done three projects for me and I am very pleased with all three. I am getting a quote to update my kitchen next! I highly recommend this company.

Terry and Northwest Construction recently completed a new roof for our 1920 Historic Ford Home in Dearborn. It is spectacular, complete with state of the art and new design technology to allow the roof/attic/house to properly ventilate. Terry is professional and immediate to respond to questions and concerns. The roofing crew, lead by Rob and Patrick, were extremely professional and treated our house as if it was their own. Terry and the crew constantly updated the progress of the roof while we were at work by sending dozens of photos, sharing the status for day and the weather. The crew worked with me to allow trim pieces to be painted prior to installation, saving us time and money by avoiding a painter. We are thrilled with the work! I called for an estimate on our roof and Gary came out within a few days to give us a quote. Checked everything and explained all the options and benefits of each without pressuring us. My wife and I felt very comfortable with the information and options he gave us and we actually cancelled our third estimate based on that interaction.

They were out to do the roof that weekend after some snow and communicated every step of the way, even if there were no changes to assure us everything was on track. There was nothing leftover for us to clean up and the roof looks great.

I have used Northwest Construction previously for a roof repair and gutters. At that time, I knew the roof would eventually need to be replaced. Well, that time arrived. I had the roof replaced on the house and garage, gutters and gutter guards replaced on both, had a ventilation system added, and had new insulation installed in the attic. I can't say enough for the professionalism of both Terry and the crew. I have no hesitation in recommending Northwest Construction.

I called Terry in a panic when I had leaking coming through the ceiling and going through three floors of my house after a recent storm. I was distraught after making calls all day. No one could come out because everyone was booked (many nearby were experiencing the same issue as me). Terry had satellite technology that let him zoom in remotely and check out the issue. Though Terry didn’t have the equipment himself, he stayed late after close and made several calls for me. He got a tram here after-hours. The company he contacted was fantastic. They came out late and stayed past midnight to make sure the roof was clear of ice and snow and water and the leaking stopped. I couldn’t be more grateful for Terry taking the time to make sure I got the help I needed same day. THANK YOU!

NW construction did a complete roof tear-off and replace and replaced our wood siding with vinyl and installed new gutters.
Terry and his crew were professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. The roof looks great, works perfectly and all at a very reasonable price (I called three places to get estimates).

I'm a first time buyer and trusted the business ratings and I was wrong. I do not recommend them for work on your home. I'm also an African American female. I think that may have also played a part in him no longer wanting my business.
