Last week Chicky helped us with a home inspection of a 100+ year-old house. It's been twenty years since we've had a home inspection, and this was much more thorough and professional than we expected. Starting in the kitchen, he goes through every appliance, outlet, nook and cranny. He took tons of photos including detailed rooftop photos, and he crawled further under decks and into the attic than I would have expected. I shadowed him for 3+ hours, and it was enjoyable hearing his thoughts, ideas and questions as we went through the house.

A day or two after the inspection, we then received an incredibly detailed report that includes photos, recommendations and items that he researched after the inspection such as the age of the two boilers. This report will be a playbook over the next year or longer as we fix and maintain a few things and if we consider remodeling.

Covered Bridge did an excellent and thorough job inspecting a investment property we were considering. They saved us from costly/serious repairs. I would definitely recommend them and would use them again before purchasing a property.

My inspection exceeded all expectations. The inspector was punctual, courteous, and extremely thorough. His detailed report was a key part of the negotiation process of the sale price. The findings within the report were easy to follow both in content of the finding and severity of things to look out for. The inspector was also quick to answer follow up questions from the report. I called on a Monday, and the appointment was scheduled two weeks down the road. Steve was on time and very professional, and what we liked most was that he included my wife in the process. This is our home together and Steve made her feel important in this matter. Many times this is overlooked, and this is why we will recommend CBPHI to anyone needing a home inspection.

The Inspection was fine in itself but the report took more than the 48 hours (which is also to long these days) Industry average in this area and in the business nationally is 24 hours or less. This length of time has caused us to have to ask for an extension on the contract. Which then adds more complications to the buying process. If you have time to wait then this may be the company for you. If you are under contract time restrictions I would suggest you call another company. Anything more than 24 hours for a report is ridiculous.

Covered Bridge was very accommodating and a great company to work with. AJ was sure to answer any questions we had and the report that followed the inspection was thorough and informative. Later in our purchasing process I found out we needed another form and CB helped us get that for to the lender quickly and with no issues. Highly recommend!

I very highly recommend Covered Bridge Home Inspections. They worked with our schedule, and spent the entire afternoon going over every inch of the house. Todd was great and took the time to explain to us what he was seeing and what he would recommend doing to fix any problems he encountered. Todd's report contained extensive pictures and detailed explanations of his recommendations. He also took the time to note if they were immediate needs, long terms needs, or recommendations for energy efficiency. He followed up with us several times to be sure that we had everything we needed and understood the report clearly. His report is going to be our bible of home ownership! We have actually used Todd for two different inspections now. After Todd's inspection of the first property we went under contract for, we decided based on his report and recommendations that the house needed too much work to be worth buying, and backed out of the contract under the inspection clause. We were so grateful that Todd found these problems with the property before we made a very expensive mistake! We were able to move on and find a much better property thanks to Todd. Covered Bridge is a great value and worth every penny. I wouldn't buy a house without them!

I hired this company to inspect house that I was buying. Shortly after purchasing the property, a major structural defect was discovered that was missed during the inspection. The structural problem was confirmed by a structural engineer and two contractors. I have paid out of my own pocket $60,000 to fix this company's mistake. In addition to the structural issues, major electrical problems existed. In a picture that the inspector took of the electrical panel, it clearly shows the service conductors coming into the panel through an unprotected knockout . During his inspection of another sub-panel on the property, he shorted out the panel by screwing into the conductor. Conductors for this panel entered the panel through an unprotected knockout. Report stated only minor electrical issues in the house. 1000 characters is far too few to describe all the problems -- and a 1 star is far too many for this company. Don't take a chance with this company on your biggest investment!
