04/18/2024 3:22PM Eastern, Cosmo Builders called me from another phone number and continued to harass me. I will call the police if harassment continues.

Cosmo Builders continues to harass me on Thumbtack.

Background and facts: I scheduled an appointment with Cosmo Builders for them to come to my house to do an on-site estimate for April 12. First they said they will come at 3pm. The appointment confirmation they sent me shows 3:30pm. They never replied to me when I asked them if it was 3pm or 3:30pm.

On April 12 at 3:44pm, Cosmo Builders called me, explained to me they were running late, and checked to see if I could do “later”. I needed to leave before 4pm so I rescheduled with them on the phone to April 15 at 4pm.

They didn’t show up or communicate with me.

On April 16, 2024, I left them a review on Thumbtack about the facts that they missed two appointments and ghosted me.

They called me at 2:38pm, explained their employees had a holiday called Eid, which was why they no showed. They asked to reschedule again, which I declined. They asked me to delete my review, which I declined. They then threatened to sue me, which I said OK.

They sent me an email and replied to my Thumbtack review, repeating the same set of talking points.

I updated my Thumbtack review to reflect that they threatened to sue me. They replied to my updated review again, saying it’s important for their employees to celebrate holidays, and I should understand human culture.

I agree it is important for employees to celebrate holidays. However, if you need to celebrate a holiday, don’t schedule an appointment for the day when you will be celebrating a holiday. If it is a mix-up, call and communicate in advance to reschedule your appointment, so it doesn’t need to interfere with your holiday. Having an appointment with someone and no show with a holiday excuse at the expense of wasting other people’s time is unprofessional. Thinking it is a legitimate excuse and acting entitled is in my opinion psychopathic.

Upon research, Eid-Al-Fitr ended on April 10, 2024. While this holiday is irrelevant to their un professionalism, lying about missing appointments on April 12 and April 15 due to a holiday that already ended is over the top. Even if it didn’t end, if you have a holiday, don’t schedule an appointment. If you get a negative, truthful review, don’t threaten to sue them. If you are criticized for being flaky, don’t guilt your potential customer for “not understanding human culture”.

They have another review on Thumbtack about no show and them harassing potential customers about reviews as well.

Highly recommend! Mr. Alkozay will go over and beyond to get a perfect understanding of all needs and wants for home designs and needs.

Cosmo Builders and their crew are amazing! They just completed our two-bathroom remodel & added one new bathroom in the basement.
What impressed me the most during the construction was their planning and materials selection process; we usually got 3 to 4 types of different brand-fixture materials along with their production links so we would be able to see the real price and review on the vendor website for vanity, Tile shower door, and bathtub product. Despite that, we had access to work progress photos, Videos, and statues all the time, and communication was amazing it was simple when I had a comment, I left comments on each task directly during the work they answered on time directly from the job site. And they end up with an amazing finishing look for all our three bathrooms.

I am already thinking about upgrading my master bedroom with them.

They handled everything, from removing the slab that was there, to some landscaping around it and moving my fence, even dealing with the difficult transition from DCRA to the new DOB. They thought of all kinds of details that I never would have, and made sure everything was just perfect. Much nicer end product than I expected. Alvaro led most of the work and Mohib managed the project and they both did excellent work. On time and on budget. I'm using them for my next project as well.
