My experience, as an out of state dad, with management of this company is poor. First of all it took nearly a year to get my daughters roof complete. Yes, insurance company probably did not help the delay, but my daughter was told by Cornerstone that they were taking care of it with the insurance company numerous times. Finally it was completed the follow year on 9/05/24. Cornerstone had a third party interest fix the interior damage, retaping and painting of the ceiling, and they did a remarkable job. So late winter early spring of 2025, their ceiling showed signs of possible moisture issues. Cornerstone did send Jeff out to inspect to say that it was an attic venting issue, so someone else, I believe Jason from Cornerstone stated it was not their problem, but the homeowners responsibility as it needed more venting. I thought inadequate attic venting issues should be noticed by professional roofers and discussed at that time, with the home owners.
Dad got involved on 4/14/2025 when I tried to call and speak to someone regarding the issue, as my daughter was spoken to unprofessionally by Jason on a previous call. I identified myself to John when I called to speak to Jason. Leaving a message for a callback as I only wanted to ask questions on what should the home owners do. I called again several times, different days leaving voicemails for a call back from Jason. It is now June and at no time did anyone call me back regarding this issue.
Maybe a good roof but courtesy and professional people skills??? Maybe needs some work.

Jacob has been incredible to work with, honest, friendly, patient, knowlegable, transparent, respectful, and more. Jacob kept me informed as well as the staff at Cornerstone. That was a huge project, Jacob was amazing and I always felt supported and taken care of during the entire process. When it came time for the installation, the process was seamless. Jacob and the staff at Cornerstone made it all so simple. Each crew that came out to work on my home was respectful, easy to talk with, they worked hard and their cleanup was impeccable. Each crew had a lead who made sure I was satisfied and answered any/all of my questions, who does that.... Jacob and Cornerstone does!!!! These guys scam non speaking person, they had him sign a contract that he couldn’t even understand. They took 30% without even doing the work since the insurance wouldn’t cover the whole roof. These guys should have some morals.

This review is for Bill Jew at Cornerstone restoration. After a bad hail storm hit our town, we were bombarded by dozens of desperate storm chasers, all saying the same BS. We were so frustrated and didn't trust any of them. Finally I contacted a friend who had previously gone through the same thing and he strongly recommended calling Bill Jew. Soon after meeting with Bill, we quickly felt very comfortable and I knew that we were now in good hands. Bill was very respectful, extremely nice, seemed very trustworthy and incredibly knowledgeable. He thoroughly guided us through the entire insurance process and his team of adjusters got ALL our damages approved. Our house is only 7 years old, but Bill pointed out all the midrange quality and outdated roofing materials that were originally used. With Bill's recommendations we chose to upgrade our Roof to landmark pro shingles, ridge vents and bigger downspouts and we couldn't be more satisfied with the amazing results. The Cornerstone roofing crew did an outstanding job and Bill was surprisingly there the entire time supervising the project as if it was his own house. Bill also did extra work by climbing into our attic to correct our bathroom exhaust issues. The project was done promptly and our property was left spotless. Our whole neighborhood got new roofs, but the details, the materials and craftsmanship on our house is by far the Best looking! Gustavo Perez and the Cornerstone Team helped get my wife and I a new roof through our insurance. Which came as a surprise to us because over the last few years, we were denied twice with other roofing contractors. Gustavo and Cornerstone were the only ones that were successful. Gustavo clearly explained the claim process and the steps that would go into getting our new roof. Once approved Gustavo made sure my wife and I got the new roof that we would be happy with. He also got us new gutters and downspouts and made sure our roof was up to code by installing ridge vents. We recently completed a roof and siding replacement project with Cornerstone Restoration. We worked with Alex M, who was diligent and thorough throughout the entire process, including working with our insurance company. Recently, we received a new roof from Cornerstone Restoration. What an amazingly smooth process this was and the roof looks amazing! Despite the insurer's initial reluctance to pay for the project, Bill persisted, following up regularly until they finally agreed to cover the replacement. Our outdated roof did not meet modern standards, but Bill ensured that the new roof was fully up to date and compliant with current requirements. He was present every day, personally overseeing the project to guarantee top-quality workmanship and promptly addressing any issues. In the weeks after golf ball sized hail last year, I must have gotten 20 business cards on my door and 50 to 100 calls asking me if I needed a new roof. Then a couple of guys from Cornerstone caught me in the driveway. I let them take a look and when they were done, I asked them if they could show me the damage.
When I got up there, they were a lot more thorough than I was. I was amazed.

Jacob was great to work with on this. He was patient with my goofy schedule. My insurance company was a little slow, but he was persistent and kept assuring me that this project was going to get done. That guy works his tail off. Even after doing the same thing at many other houses every day, he still made it here to do the paperwork in person.

The crew was amazing on the day of the job. When they found that the Skylight in the bathroom was bad, they went out and got a new one and still had the house done before 4pm. When I went around the house the next day with a magnet, I think I only picked up about 5 nails. Great clean up job. When they did the gutters a couple of days later, that was as good of a job.

Roof Replacement - I was so impressed with Jacob Oakley and the whole team at Cornerstone Restoration. From the very beginning, Jacob was so pleasant and professional, and a real joy to work with. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY , After a hail storm hit your area, they send a man who goes door to door and offers to do an inspection for free, my roof was ok and they said wev offers to repair your roof, and that you won't have to pay anything, without a deductible everything is included. They took extra money from my insurance for fictitious repairs, but they didn't finish everything, when I called them and said that it wasn't finished, they said to finish it myself. This company is engaged in fraud, they hire people who go door to door and do inspections, then they take as much money from your insurance as possible and hire cheap workers who do your roof. They put the main amount of money in their pockets, then they extort a deductible from you if you don't pay, they put a lien on your house, after your Insurance go up twice . They are scammers. It is better to contact your insurance company yourself, which will send you an inspector.STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

We had to sell our house because a tree hit it, Cornerstone Originally in April 2023 the claim was made, the house was Flooding from the roof by the gallons, they sent a non employee drug addict to try and tarp the roof, The house kept flooding worse and worse. Everything in the house got damaged. State Farm said to deal with the roof first then to deal with the interior damage, Everyone dropped the ball. Our dogs got sick. My wife got chest infections from mold, One year later, we’re living in black mold, floods insects, electrical boxes blowing out, after Jason, the owner and Cynthia the manager received $32,000 from Allstate insurance, they decided to jack up the estimate to 74,000 the day of the job, because of this, we could not get the certificate for warranty and sell our house accordingly, they are the biggest scammers I’ve ever met, once they receive their money, they jacked the estimate to 74,000 and had no contact with us months and months after, once they realize that there was fraud involved, they lowered the price to 43,000, but all this time we sold the house and cannot receive our funds because cornerstones adjuster and State Farm adjuster can’t get it right for months and months because there’s so much fraud involved, we suffered worse than any people I could imagine when it comes to this, Im Mikie Da Poet, very reputable and honest, avoid cornerstone in Schaumburg, Illinois at all cost! Situation is still not solved, They will ruin your life, Avoid

Jacob O. of Cornerstone Restoration was wonderful to work with. He was very knowledgeable of the work that needed to be done on our home due to hail damage that occured last April. He was patient and diligent as our homeowner insurance took their sweeeeeet time of coordinating with Jacob and Cornerstone about the cost and the work that needed to be done. Jacob is always willing to answer questions and advocate for us, making sure nothing was missed with the repairs that are needed. He would go out of his way to rectify any issue we had with delays to the work that was needing to get done. Jacob worked really hard to get my insurance to cover the cost of my roof for wind damage. It took awhile but they finally approved me for a new roof and it looks awesome. We’re so happy.

Cornerstone helped me put in a claim for hail damage to my roof and siding last September, and its now August of the following year and the work is done. Siding and Roof looks great. Only problem was communication, I was confused by the timeframe as I expected the work to be done before winter, and I had a hard time getting a hold of anyone by text or phone to the office, but once Jacob Oakley took over my file he did a good job of getting me status updates and a clear timeframe. It also would have been nice to have someone talk to me about how the work was being done during the actual repair, as I could have prevented some extra work and would now have a better idea of what I should be on the lookout for for future maintenance. The actual work looks solid now and I didn't have to fight to get things done right so in the end I am happy with it.

I worked with Jacob and he was fantastic I had a great experience with him and he helped me and my mom with her roof the whole step of the way he was a great representation of the company and highly recommend Jacob and cornerstone I will defiantly be using them again if our futures align.

Oktavian and Cornerstone did a great job with my roof. The whole process took almost a year, mostly due to insurance, but the new roof and gutters are in place now.
Oktavian did answer all my questions and I had a lot of them.
In the beginning had some doubts, but later they were able to get full coverage for the roof and then got a free gutter replacement on top of that. I had to cover some portion of the soffit replacement, but it's a small portion of how much was done.
The roof installation was amazing, they started around 7 am, and by 2 pm I had a new roof. The crew was very professional and additionally, they repaired some damaged areas for free.

The roof looks fantastic after the replacement. Took over a year and a half but this was primarily due to insurance issues and Cornerstone did everything they could to speed up the process. My only criticism was when the process started the representative said they had a military discount and when everything was being finalized over a year later I was told they didn't offer it due to costs. Otherwise the work is fantastic, the staff was extremely polite, and my questions and concerns were answered in a timely fashion.

Jacob came over to do a roof and siding inspection for my home to assess the damages after the recent storms we had. I also asked other companies to take a look as well.

While the reps from the other two companies pushed me and pressured me to file a claim with them, Jacob was very clear that he didn’t want me to file any claims unless there was plenty of qualifying damages. Which I really appreciated because the last thing I want to do is file a claim unless I know everything will be approved.

Unlike the other two reps, Jacob spent a considerable amount of time doing his inspection and going over my policy. Unfortunately there just wasn’t enough damages to file a claim, despite the other companies pushing me to file a claim after barely inspecting my home. It was very refreshing to have someone this honest and transparent, which in my experience other roofers have not been for me.

Gustavo helped and explained the whole process before any inspection was done. I was do not know much about roofs, but he really went in depth and explained everything. He did the inspection and the roof had minimal damage. He also explained where any problems would come up anywhere. Overall very helpful and kind. Recommend 10/10.

Quite possibly the best experience I’ve had getting any work done on my house, all thanks to the time and effort made by Bill Jew. From day one, Bill communicated everything really well and made us feel confident that our roof would be covered. Bill knew we would have to fight, but we didn’t know we would be fighting for a whole year. Throughout that entire time, Bill did everything in his power and went the extra mile to ensure we would get it covered. He also went out of his way to have any damaged areas that could lead to leaks tarped up and covered, so we didn’t have to pay more when it came to the install. This was HUGE, as we had no idea this would take a whole year, and the storms we experienced in that time frame would have definitely led to extra damages if Bill hadn’t put measures in place to prevent them.

Once approval came in, they were quick to schedule and get the roof done. Normally, I don’t see the representative on the day of install, but when I went outside to check how things were going, the first person I saw was Bill! He was there, getting his hands dirty to ensure everything was running smoothly. He also personally took care of repairing my damaged vents and repainting my chimneys. The install couldn’t have gone better, and my experience with Bill Jew was the best I’ve had. They arrived early, completed everything in a timely manner, and cleaned up really well on their way out, ensuring everything surrounding the house was as it was before the install. Bill then sat with me afterward, showing me all the pictures and walked me through the whole process again. But what honestly sold me was that on Bill’s way out of our initial visit, he noticed my screen door was a bit broken and, out of the goodness of his heart, he went to his car, brought back his hammer, and fixed it for me. This had nothing to do with the roof or getting my business; he’s just a genuinely good guy.

Being a first time homeowner, I didn't know the first thing about finding a contractor to check my roof for damage after my area got hit with a hail storm. Luckily this company employs hard working, dedicated, sharp-eyed, and attentive field representatives like Jacob Oakley. I went to work and came home at 5:00pm with only the two quality control foremen making sure everything was as it should be. Bill the sales manager from Cornerstone is amazing. Its been five years now that Cornerstone did our roof. Bills team and staff did a amazing job with our roof. We know that our roof was covered if anything should happen. Just last week, our town was under a tornado watch. Our roof had a small portion of shingles lifting up after the storm. Looking up towards our roof, we can only guess the worse. I contacted Bill and without any hesitation. Bill called his tech Jeff to come over the next day to check out the matter. Turns out that the gutter bracket got lifted up and got caught under the shingle after the storm. I was so relieved that Bill and Cornerstone did not just ignore our problem. Cornerstone backed there work and there warranty. Cornerstone customer service and workmanship is a five stars. I really believe small companies like Cornerstone are very hard to find.

Cornerstone Restoration was recommended to us by someone who recently had their roof and siding replaced. More specifically, they suggested contacting Bill Jew at Cornerstone to determine if our roof had hail damage. On first inspection, Bill did not find significant damage that would warrant a claim, but he kept our info on file in case of future storms. Ironically, just days later we had a large hailstorm. Bill came out immediately & documented the large extent of damage, and also used a reliable weather tracking source that confirmed our area was pinpointed with huge hailstones. He carefully took photos of all areas throughout the roof, skylights & gutters. I'm sure Bill's extensive documentation both before & after the storm were a vital part of the claim being accepted by our insurance carrier.
Bill constantly kept us informed of the process, and when scheduled work would be started. Due to weather & other items, it was delayed a bit, but the crew actually worked on a Saturday to get our job complete before cold weather settled in. Bill was on site to oversee the crew, and assure steps taken to protect our landscaping, windows, etc from any damage during the tear off and re-roofing. The clean up was thorough & complete.

One of their canvassers knocked on my door and offered me a roof inspection and at first I was reluctant with trusting anyone, but I agreed. The next day I met the storm Manager Bill Jew. Bill Jew was an extremely professional expert in construction and he was very patient in walking me through the entire insurance claim process. After he thoroughly inspected my house he determined that I had adequate Hail damage on both my Roof and Siding and we filed the insurance claim. Bill Jew then navigated the entire claim process and the Cornerstone Restoration Team over came all the difficulties with Allstate Insurance Companyand successfully got my clAIm fully approved. After negotiating the highest claim amounts they were able to give me top quality materials and workmanship. They even upgraded my roof ventilation and replaced my very old skylight! Their crews were very professional, fast and very clean. In fact I was going through a lot of medical issues and was unable to do any yard work for a while and my property was like a jungle. Bill Jew was unbelievable, he went above the call of duty and completely cut all my grass and trimmed all the brushesand even painted my old ulgy front door.
