They weren't able to help me, but quickly responded and even referred me to two shops that could. Much appreciated!

My VW new Beetle convertible top would open but struggle to close. Les recognized the problem right away and, after a minor scheduling snafu, made the repair. He also fixed a spot where my top had frayed, at no extra charge. I'm grateful for his expertise.

had the top redone on my 1971 mustang. couldn’t be happier with the results. Kim, Les and Dan were great to work with. they always let me know what was going on, any other issues they found as they went through it, and sent me updates as work progressed. so happy i took my car to Convertibles Only. highly recommend. this top really ties the car together.

Les and Kim were so helpful. I can highly recommend this shop if you're after a convertible expert. I did not end up having my car serviced, but Les was kind enough to offer me some advice and even some material for a DIY repair at no charge. I would have replace my top otherwise, which would have been too expensive for me right now. I will definitely be coming back here for any services I need in the future! 6/5 stars!

Took my 2002 Miata in after the soft top was slashed on the drivers side about a year ago. I had gorilla tape sealing it up, but due to the hot weather recently, I would have to replace it periodically. It started to get unsightly and messy with the old adhesive, so I decided to call Convertibles Only for an estimate.

After a year, the gap of the slash in the vinyl got larger as the vinyl shrunk. I was not sure if it was repairable for a reasonable amount of money and considered just replacing it.

The customer service was some of the best. I called in, got a quote over the phone for the soft top repair, a soft top replacement (I was curious on the cost), and general questions about frame repair if needed because my passenger side latch was kind of off. All my questions were answered patiently and with expertise. I did not feel pressured to schedule or purchase a new soft top, and I was able to get in the next day for repair.

I was greeted by Kim who performed the repair. She inspected the soft top quickly, pointed out two areas of note where the top shrunk over the years and tore slightly at the bottom passenger side edge - both of which did not compromise the function of the top. She then inspected the vandalism from last year, and went over expectations. Reported besides the vandalism, the top was in otherwise great shape. The soft top and repair would last a couple years at the very least.

I do not write many reviews, but this business deserves it. The repair looked great and exceeded my expectations, the quote was accurate and very reasonable, plus Kim was awesome.

Am I Topsy over the top in some small stuff? I need finished up on my interior.

My soft top was still in good shape but the plastic window was not. Convertibles Only was able to replace only the window without requiring a full soft top replacement. Result was great. Service was professional, polite and speedy.

Excellent business, I'd use them in the future. Came here for a small seat repair job. The crew really stands behind their work. They are very busy and it's tough to get on their calendar. Certainly worth the wait. Thanks Les and Kim.

Len did a beautiful job restoring a nasty looking original soft top frame for my 58 vette. He took the care to adjust the hold down clamps and line up the frame fit to the body. The new top looks beautiful.

These guys are just plain great. I had a little issue with my Mazda MX5 convertible top getting man handled by a detailer who bent the ragtop frame. Convertibles Only got me in fast, met me promptly at the scheduled time, were totally professional, COVID ready, finished on time, and charged a fair price. My top maneuvers better than when I bought it, seriously. I won't hesitate to go back. Bring cash cause they don't take credit cards. Worth it! Thanks Gentleman

Convertibles Only replaced the plastic rear window in my 25-year old Mazda Miata, and modified the vinyl boot that covers the retracted top so it now fits around an aftermarket roll bar. Both jobs turned our PERFECT! Excellent customer service as well. Highly recommended.

Excellent service from initial phone call to getting my 08 Saturn Sky Redline back with the window rebound and small rip in top repaired. Best pricing I found anywhere else too, especially considering the clearly superior expertise. Appreciated how easy it was to get a solid quote and on the schedule. Top shelf all the way. Highly recommend!

Convertibles not only surpassed my expectations, they went above and beyond. My miata top was slashed and I ordered a new top and scheduled the installation so Les offered to patch up the top in the meantime before I got it replaced (it was about a month) I'm so thankful he did because it was pouring rain and it protected my car from being damaged because of the inclement weather. I dropped my car off Wednesday afternoon and the new top was installed and ready for me to pick up Friday. It looks perfect. They even cleaned my windshield inside and out and wiped my car down. These guys are amazing. They take care of their customers and do it quickly. I highly recommend Convertibles Only!

The new windows in the convertible look like new, they are so clear. I can't stress enough how wonderful Kim, Les & the team are to work with. The top looks like it did when new. Fantastic customer service & excellent craftsmanship. Would not hesitate to bring any interior or convertible top work to these folks. Thank you

The only place I take my E36 convertible for top related repairs. I swear every time I go there they have about 2-3 of my exact car being worked on or waiting in the parking lot. No wonder they are experts! They fixed a leak for about $50 that other shops were quoting hundreds. And 3 years later the fix is still nice and dry.

Edit: well it’s been 3 years and I’ve gone here a bunch more since I originally wrote the review so I thought I’d add an update. These guys are the ONLY place I’ll go for convertible or interior jobs. They are so nice and do such incredible work. They just did such a beautiful job on a headliner for me. And the original convertible leak they fixed for me 6 years ago is still perfectly dry.

Only place in seattle to fix your convertible roof or related parts. Every competent and friendly staff.
Also very fair other shops charge $250 crock age fee to install your own top. They stayed late to fix my top.

I went to see Les, the owner, for help in re-dyeing or replacing my Boxster's roof. He showed me a quick fix, advised me the roof was good for several more years, and wouldn't even charge me for the tool he used to make the roof pretty. I almost want to replace the roof just to deal with him again! The guy is obviously all about integrity.

Les, an ordinary guy is the owner of "Convertibles Only" in Seattle WA. I took my dream car, a 1969 Pontiac Firebird Convertible 350 V-8 to have a part changed and align the top, amongst a few other things. Took him all day, but the attention to detail was excellent. He understood my needs and it was well worth the money I spent to have my problem fixed right the first time. I would recommend him to all my friends of classic cars and anyone who owns a convertible.

Convertibles Only is great. Fixed our 2002 Mustang leaking top. Other shops would only replace the Window or Top. This worked perfect. Fast, Friendly and prompt. Highly recommended.

I've had Les work on at least 3 of my convertibles over the last 20 years. He and his gang are thorough, professional, do excellent work, and they're the nicest folks in town. Last month my dealer told me it would take about $2,000 to fix the top on my Audi A4, Les did it for under $700. They always take time to explain what they're doing and make sure you're OK with what's going on. A thoroughly outstanding customer experience.

I was having trouble with my BMW convertible top. I brought my car into the shop, and Les took a look at it right away. He already had some ideas based on what I had said over the phone when speaking with Kim. Turns out Les' assessment was correct. He tried a couple of things to try and fix the problem. Since they didn't have the part I needed to fix the problem (the plastic cover to the locking motor), he didn't charge me for taking a look at it. Thank you, Les and Kim!

Pricing questions
1. What is the average roof replacement cost for a residential home?
+-

The average roof replacement cost for a residential home typically ranges from $7,000 to $15,000, depending on factors such as roof size, chosen materials, roof pitch, and labor rates in your area. Premium materials or complex designs may increase the price.

2. How much does it usually cost to replace the roof of a commercial building?

3. What factors affect the overall roof repair cost?
+-

Several factors influence roof repair cost, including the extent of the damage, roof accessibility, material type, labor costs, and whether it’s a general repair or an emergency fix. Minor repairs can start around $150–$400, while major repairs may exceed $1,500.

4. What is the typical roof leak repair cost, and how is it calculated?

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?
+-

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
