We would highly recommend CMR. Our AC died in the middle of this late June/July heatwave. Andy came out the same day I called and gave us a quote that well beat the local competition. The installers that came were wonderful and did a great job. We were so pleased we chose CMR and will use them for everything in the future.

I highly recommend CMR Mechanical in Dexter , MI. This company is something you don’t come across very often.
We needed to have a mini split air conditioning system installed in our house and had a narrow timeline in which we would need the installation to occur.
One of the owners came to our house to discuss the project and the timeline. He explained the system thoroughly, walked us through the entire progress and spent a lot of time answering our questions.
The two young men that came to install the system were extremely polite and even in dry weather wore shoe protectors that they put on and took off every time they came back through our door. All day long! They were very hard workers and explained what they would be doing every day when they arrived, and additionally, what was accomplished at the end of every day. They cleaned up all dust and debris every day.
The project was completed on time and we are enjoying the cool air!!

We had Andy and his team replace our HVAC as our old system was nearing end of life. Great experience start to finish. Andy (co-owner) came out to quote the project himself and took the time to develop a detailed plan tailored to our house and was willing to explain exactly why he proposed the system he did. Connie in the office was extremely friendly and got us all set with all of the scheduling and billing. Miguel and Scott did the majority of the installation and they were fantastic. The installation was clean and careful and Miguel did an outstanding job of keeping us informed of exactly how everything was going and what to expect. We could not be happier with our first project with CMR and we definitely will be working with them in the future!

So I woke up and the house was cool. Thermostat seemed dead. Uh oh! Called CMR, such nice people. Within about three hours Charlie arrived and was busy investigating. Our system is kind of complex with propane heat, a heat pump that is heat as well as AC, lots of wires. Charlie soon found a short. Seems a neighborly mouse or chipmunk had chewed through a heat pump control wire. Thanks for that little guy.
Soon Charlie had it all running and tested.

I simply cannot say enough great things about the CMR team and their service. I called reporting a terrible noise and burning smell emitting from our furnace. Connie promptly tended to my concern and offered us quick solutions. They had serviced our home before I lived here, and their sticker was on our furnace. I am so beyond thrilled they were the first person I called! Connie reassured me they would have Rich out to take a look within just a few hours and he arrived promptly to take care of our troubles.

He was attentive, worked independently while I was tending to meetings, communicated fantastically while he was in and out. Rich grabbed the parts, fixed our troubles and was on his way. CMR recently came to my house to diagnose a funny noise my furnace was making. A part on the furnace was likely to give out soon (furnace was 24 years old, so it was time), so we decided to order a new one. The furnace died the next day before the new one was scheduled to be installed, so Andy moved things around and put us at the top of the list for that very day. I cannot say enough good things about the customer service at CMR, from the person in the office who answered my initial phone call, to the service tech Charlie who came out so quickly, to the owner Andy who promised to take care of us, to the installers who were there right away. I could not have asked for faster or better service. I recommend CMR to anyone who needs heating/cooling service.

They were able to promptly schedule service and arrived as scheduled and performed the service without any issue. Very professional service and administrative staff. Highly recommend.

Our experience with CMR started about 4 years ago. We had one of the other local large HVAC companies out to repair our furnace that was not working correctly after a quote of about $19K to replace our A/C and furnace (we were told it was not worth fixing) I wanted a second opinion.
I called CMR for a second opinion, they were able to make the repairs ($330.00) also told us our units were fine and no need to replace them at this point.
This morning we woke up to no heat. I called CMR they were able to get someone right out. My wife met with the Tech since I was at work. Expecting bad news (I was thinking a new furnace) she called me saying the tech was very nice and was able to do a quick service on the furnace $140 later and our furnace is working great! Thank you guys!

My experience with CMR was first class. They are honest, knowledgable and solutions oriented. Melissa and Trevor were both incredible and have our full trust. We had many other providers out for an issue and were disappointed for many reasons. Trevor solved a complex problem and was a pleasure to work with.

We have used CMR for years to repair our (home) HVAC system and are continuously impressed by their speed (heater went out at 4:00 a.m. - they had it fixed by 10:00 a.m.!), price, and honesty. Highly recommend!

I cant explain how phenomenal these guys are! We're a salon in downtown Ann Arbor and our furnace finally quit on us in the middle of a very cold and bitter January. Rich at CMR Mechanical just saved the day, and we’re so grateful! We realized, at 10:15 p.m., that we weren’t getting hot water. I called the 24-hour hotline, expecting to leave a message, but a friendly person answered, noted my concerns, and said a tech would call right back— and Rich did. He talked me through how to fix it over the phone and couldn’t have been nicer. Very impressed by how fast, friendly, and efficient they are! And wonderful to speak to actual humans rather than robots. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would.

We had Rich from CMR out to service our boiler after buying a new house, and I can't imagine a better experience. Rich was a knowledgeable, polite, and thorough, and the entire experience was affordable. Highly recommend!

Installed Mitsubishi heat pumps for heating and cooling plus a heat pump water heater. They were willing to get creative to help us go all electric and high-efficiency. System works beautifully. Crew was very professional and easy to work with.

Called in today to request service. The dispatcher was very rude. I asked how she was she dismissed it and asked what I needed. I asked do they provide service, before I could get it out she said no and hung up on me quickly. Sad to see a company with such good ratings miss out on an opportunity to make great money and build vendor relationships. I hope they address her regarding this.( no one was selling product.your an hvac company your services were needed. As an hvac company that would make you a vendor to a customer which was myself. ) again I hope you address the person for losing out on money and new relationships with customers good luck)

Highly recommend! We had another contractor mess up a water heater install and CMR was to the rescue. They went above and beyond to be sure our situation was corrected quickly and efficiently. Melissa at the office was very knowledgeable and helpful. Miguel was very professional and knowledgeable. I even interacted with the owner Andy who was also very helpful to our situation. I will only be using them in the future!

Andy came out to assess our HVAC set up in the home we recently purchased, and gave us a thorough walk through of the system and how we could improve its efficiency. We are already noticing a difference, and have found our HVAC service providers for life!

CMR installed a Triangle Tube combi boiler for me about 5 years ago; they were great to work with. I have called them for service work since then and they continue to be outstanding.

CMR has now done 2 projects for us. They installed a mitsubishi split for heat and air. They also put in a generator. It got a real life test with yesterday's storm. The workers were kind and clean.

Scott and Tim finished up the installation of our new Evolution HVAC system (furnace & AC), Connex thermostat, powered humidifier and soft ductwork, etc. I wanted to express my sincere gratitude for the tremendous work they both did in the three full days they were here. It's amazing the work they completed in short time.
Professional, on-time, hard-working, complete in their work and excellent craftsmanship. Scott was an exemplary leader on this project and walked me through the project at the end as well. Both worked great as a team.

Impressed with their prior HVAC installation, we opted for CMR to install our new Navient Tankless Water Heater 240A (condensing w/internal recirculation pump) with Navi Circ thermo-valve for external recirculation loop and installation of an expansion tank. Cole and Miguel completed a clean installation with great craftsmanship and hauled away the old tank water heater (also installed by CMR). Before leaving, Cole setup the Navient for external recirculation and explained as we went through it together. Initially, my wife and I are impressed with the functionality of the system and hopes for savings in the future! Thank you CMR!

These guys do excellent work. Rich provided our most recent service, and he was fantastic - from getting our hot water flowing properly again, to fixing a leak in our furnace piping. Great independently owned business.

They went above and beyond replacing my furnace. They fixed issues from two previous contractors.
New system works great and they were very responsive to calls and questions.
You might save a few dollars up front with someone else but CMR is going to save you money in the long run. They will save you a lot of stress which put weighs a few dollars.

Had an emergency today furnace blowing soot. Eric rearranged his schedule and had us up & running. Not many know oil burning furnaces but he was amazing. 2nd time using this company and they are some of the best ! Highly recommend!

Great company, I would highly recommend. Prices were reasonable, and they had a technician out the next day. Rich was very professional, explained everything, and did a fantastic job getting our heat working properly again.

I will start by saying we ended up not using them for the actual work (it was an unusual job that needed to be done quickly due to us selling the house). However, I was so impressed with the interactions that I wanted to review. First, a real person answered the phone when I was called (when you're in an emergency, it's so nice to just talk to someone instead of an automated thing). Second, They got someone out within 10 minutes. Third, the leak was in the basement. We are selling our house so it's clean for viewings. Mike put on booties to keep our floors clean without even being asked just to walk into the (unfinished) basement. It may seem like something little, but it really showed me the care and professionalism of CMR. He also took the time to walk me though the problem, and why it was such an unusual job. I will definitely be using them in the future!

This team is excellent, honest, fair and committed to doing thorough and comprehensive work. I have used them on several projects the last few years and it has been consistently fantastic with cost effective solutions.

I called CMR when my hot water tank died. Andy and I spoke at 10:41 a.m. By 1 p.m. the new hot water tank was installed. And, as is true for each time I’ve called CMR, not only are they responsive, the service team is always top-notch professional and personable. We are fortunate to have these folks in our community.

CMR was hired to completely replace our entire HVAC system including the install of a heat pump to provide both heat from 34 degrees upwards and air conditioning during warmer weather. The CMR team performed without a hitch completing the project with a crew of two within the time frame and budget quoted to us. In addition we have to say the crew was extremely polite and considerate. And the work was performed in a craftsman like way. The finished install was beautiful to behold. I dont know how often a job of this complexity is completed with such skill timeliness and technical competence but our experience was exactly that. I would be remiss if I did not also mention the CMR secretary and owner both of which made working with CMR quite delightful and smooth in every way at every step along the way. We recommend CMR for your HVAC job no matter its size or complexity. And they do great HVAC maintenance work on your old or new systems. Received an estimate, very professional and friendly. After receiving 5 different quotes from 5 different companies, CMR's quote for new AC/furnace installation was one of the highest. They work with Michigan Saves program, which is great, just wish they were about 1.5k less to compete with other prices. Their high efficiency furnace quote was comparable, but their quote for standard efficiency AC was not competitive with other standard efficiency ACs.

CMR responded to our mechanical situation by the start of the next business day and promptly came out, patiently answered all of our questions, and took the time to make sure they could do the work properly. I would highly recommend CMR.

We had CMR replace our water heater/subfloor heating boiler when it started leaking. They were same day responsive to diagnose and repair the most obvious problem, but when it turned out the leak wasn't fixed, they stepped up and replaced the unit in 2 days! They were (obviously) very fast to respond, courteous at all times, and thoroughly professional throughout the process. They are local service providers who care about their customers.

The 2 servicemen (Zack and Josh) who worked for 3 days to install my new furnace and AC were by far the best I’ve ever had. Absolutely professional, personable, efficient, cleaned up beautifully, and both my ac and furnace seem to be working! They were also patient with my never-ending questions and showing me how things work and gracious in taking input. Andy Bobo who provided my quote was responsive and helpful. I overwhelmingly give them my highest rating!

After calling around and collecting quotes to replace our furnace and a/c we chose CMR. I could not be happier, the crew doing the work was personable and professional. They cleaned up the area rearranged the lay out a bit and made it all more compact and clean looking. At one point a water line for the humidifier broke and they used some dirty towels to soak up the water, instead of leaving them there and letting us know they took them home and washed them. Wow who does that true professionals, small things like that say more about a company and people they employ. It shows caring and pride I would definitely recommend them and use them again.

Recently we discovered that our heating and cooling system needed to be replaced. None of this was planned... Andy was out the same day after a brief call. Not only was the responsiveness of CMR great, but Andy spent time with us and provided real solutions to the concerns we shared about the way the old sytem performed. By the end of that day we had solidified a decision. Installation began 2 days later. Joshua and Manuel the primary installers, shared the installation goals for the day, kept us updated, and answered questions. They were very respectful of our wishes, and their work was neat, tidy and thorough - very professional.
Best of all - once the system was up and running we could not believe the difference compared to the old system - quiet, more uniform heat and the comfort that we had been seeking. Having now used CMF 3 times for primary furnace and ductless AC, I would give them 10 stars if I could. Last year I (mostly) replaced a ductless system myself and CMR finished the install and charged the system at a very fair price. 2 months ago the primary AC stopped and CMR came out and determined that marginal work by a (well-known) previous HVAC company caused the problem; only charged me for a service call. Recently when the main blower motor died on my 23 year old furnace I decided to replace the entire furnace. Based on my two previous experiences, I chose CMR again and they did an excellent job at a very fair price. The owner even came out to measure for some custom ductwork. Keeping in mind that was for a fixed price, the CMR technicians said the anesthetic air and exhaust plumbing and electrical work drove them crazy and they replaced it all, added an extra electrical outlet and the result looks like a brochure picture, just perfect. I can't recommend them enough.

Everyone at CMR is friendly and helpful. They’ve helped us when our furnace went out in the middle of the night, even FaceTiming with my husband to try and identify the problem quickly. Even when they’ve been fully booked, they find a way to get someone out to help you quickly. Their professionalism and genuine interest in helping you is unmatched. CMR has recently installed a new furnace and air conditioner in our home and the process was great from beginning to end. I initially called because of a high energy bill and they educated me as to what was causing my bill to be so high as well as recommending a energy efficient furnace and new air conditioner. The installers were professional , educated me throughout the process and made sure I was able to pick where the air conditioner would be located outside of my home. They walked me through what they had done everyday and were very respectful of my home and installed very quickly. I would recommend them for all HVAC services.

CMR is top notch from beginning to end. I had a few quotes to replace my 20 year old furnace and AC. Andy picked out a great choice without trying to oversell. I like the Bryant brand they offer since parts and repairs will be easy in the future unlike some other brands. Installation occurred as planned and on time and the techs were great and went above and beyond. Even the inspector said CMR does a great job. Definitely recommend!

As usual CMR was quick to provide service for our 20 year old furnace which was refusing to ignite. Tech Eric Fields was thorough, patient, and very knowledgeable. Easy fix for him, huge relief for us. Will continue to use CMR and Eric!

Andy came out to provide a free estimate. No money exchanged. He was very helpful and informative as we considered novel, environmentally efficient heating systems.

It was 19 degrees outside.
It was 9:00 PM on a Friday.
I left a message on the 24-hour emergency line - Eric got back to me within 20 minutes and he was on-site a hour later. He repaired the boiler within 30 minutes.

I'm switching to CMR Mechanical for my all my rental properties.

(btw. my regular service company took 48 hours to get back to me even though I left a message that I was an established customer and I have no heat!)

Our furnace stopped functioning on a Saturday morning at 5 am with outside temperature of 15 degrees. I called their 24 hour emergency line shortly after 6:30 and was scheduled that morning. The furnace was at the end of its time to be safely used (16 years) and needed to be replaced. The repair person offered to give us heaters to get get us through the weekend and he went back to the office to get them - we really appreciated that offer.

The team arrived Monday at8:00 and the verbal estimate was honored in the contract. They were they were competent, friendly, knowledgeable and made sure we understood the entire process.

We would highly recommend CMR to anyone!!

While I have previously used CMR in the past and they have been professional and reasonable, I would like to make other customers aware that they are not up front or transparent about their fees. I recently called to ask about a previous water heater they had installed and for which they are the primary servicers. In response they sent out a service member who told me that I had already done the exact solution he came up with and that if it didn't work that they would order a part and fix the solution. This interaction took <5 minutes and could have been answered over the phone as was originally intended by the call to CMR but was not given an option to do so. Instead, they sent a $100 invoice for this service which would also be added to any return visit cost of $100 for any further visits (i.e. to double dip a service charge on the same problem). At no point was it discussed or mentioned that calling CMR would result in a $100 bill no matter the call or solution. As such, I do not believe that CMR has poor communication in this regard and I would strongly recommend another provider.

The co-owner Andy Bobo contacted me about this and stated that a customer should inherently know a $100 service charge would be imposed no matter the question. Nor did he see any role of making sure that the people answering the phone should communicate the options of speaking with someone or having them come out for a in person service or to state that all service calls are a $100.

This company is the best! Our business uses them regularly to maintain, repair, inspect, and replace our buildings' furnaces and boilers. They are quick to respond and good at what they do.

I had CMR out for yearly service on my furnace. The technician, Caleb, arrived on time. As we entered the basement, there was water everywhere. The water heater tank had failed. CMR was not only able to get a new water heater installed the next day, they recommended a water restoration company that was able to take care of the damage. They helped make a very stressful situation less stressful and I recommend them for their knowledge and professionalism.

I approached CMR asking for a bid on moving the home off of gas forced air and onto a ductless mini split due to an aging furnace.

During the estimate, Andy came across as very knowledgeable and pragmatic about building a solution to fit the needs or the project, weighing the available options with his experience in response to vague questions and concerns as a homeowner (albeit a DIY advocate, by no means an HVAC professional) and suggested a solution that clearly leveraged the strengths of his company's experience while meeting what he understood as customer expectations.

In this case, Andy worked through the process of deciding to install a system from Bryant, rather than Mitsubishi (the major brands he said CMR had experience installing) due to its lower minimum operating temperatures with the house moving to ductless mini split as the primary source of heat (our expectations) while giving the estimate. This may seem like an obvious thing for a service company to do, but having gotten other bids for this same project, those companies by comparison felt like they were selling the solution that they wanted to sell, and not evaluating the optimal solution for the needs of the project.

Project management and installation was handled well, Andy making sure that everything was set and decided on starting day, with the crew assigned talking through the final details of installation very clearly and helping making reasoned and informed decisions throughout the entire process. Both Andy and the crew were communicative when necessary, and consummate professionals, addressing the inevitable bumps in the road with the same reasoned and informed approach, offering us solutions but leaving the final decision to the customer and following through -- their recommended solutions were, in all cases on this project, the preferred one, but their flexibility to weigh the options before executing was always appreciated.

Project closure has been handled equally well, with Andy and his crew very clearly wanting a positive relationship going forward should anything go wrong and require them to revisit.

Overall, I would highly recommend CMR Mechanical based on the experience with this project.

CMR replaced our furnace, air conditioner, and water heater as we are preparing to make some renovations on our house. They did an outstanding job. I had CMR come out on a service call for an AC unit in Ann Arbor. They were very good with communication from the beginning. There was a small hiccup with my system and one of their new technicians but it was handled the right way. Good friendly service.

CMR mechanical is a great company. Our AC went out during 90 deg weather. Andy came out ASAP to give us an estimate on a new unit and brought with him an industrial strength window AC unit to get us through until the real AC unit could be installed. Their pricing is competitive but even better is that their service is top notch.

We have used CMR on a couple of occasions over the last couple of years to repair our furnace and water heater. In both instances, they were outstanding. Even though it was an extremely busy time of year, they came out quickly and fixed both issues. Very professional. They were highly recommended to me. Had air conditioning installed in ductless 1957 home. They were quick with quote, always on time and had it installed in a very short period of time, coordinating with electrician who worked with the same timeline, consulting me on every step. I am so pleased with the Mitsubishi system and the job they did.

Tried getting an estimate with no call backs and several attempts. I called and was told if no one got back to you then we are not interested. Pretty unprofessional. Instead of apologizing for the mix up the company put it back on the customer. Can't say Ill be calling these guys back.

Our furnace had stopped working in the night, so I called CMR Mechanical and they were to our house and had it fixed by 9 a.m.! Charlie, the technician, explained it was a high limiter switch that had tripped. He showed me how to fix it the next time it happened. I really appreciate their honesty and expertise!
