Clar Construction

Clar Construction is my family's go to for home construction. The team has completed a number of projects in my home that have not only improved the structural integrity of the home but also created a beautiful space for our family to share. Not only is the Clar Construction team the most talented group of carpenters I have ever worked with, their attention to detail and cleanliness exceeds even my high expectations. There simply aren't enough stars available to align with my exceptionally high review of this construction company.

Wonderful experience! Clear communication, honest timelines, kind people, AND GOREGOUS work. Worth every penny and we are so incredibly happy with the final product!

Dan and the people at Clar Construction are great! We were trying to get some work done to a house we were moving in to and called a few places to talk through the project. Dan's attention to detail during the walkthrough and for all the steps afterward leading up to the work commencing was reassuring and made us feel at ease when getting work done while we were remote. I had a general idea of what I wanted, but Dan and his team were able to make suggestions based on my rough drawing on how to make things even better.

During the renovations, his carpenter and team had the same attention to detail constantly keeping us updated on things that were going on, any issues that popped up (1 tiny issue for such an old house was great!) and when we could be in or out of the house.

The work was finished better than I could have imagined and right on time. We love the extra room and allowed our family to fit everything we wanted! Already have another project in mind for Dan and team next year!

We built an addition on our house and we had nothing but a great experience with Clar. They were very efficient with their work and whenever we had requests or questions they were quick to respond and take care of what we needed. Not once did I feel like we weren't a priority for them.

Dan and his team have done several carpentry jobs for us including a remodel and some built-ins. They do professional, high quality work and we would highly recommend them.

Dan and his team completed a major kitchen renovation at our home this winter. From start to finish, his communication was excellent. Dan helped us develop a design for the project; he promptly returned emails and he patiently and thoroughly answered all of our questions. Dan reviewed every last detail of the renovation and he and his team worked collaboratively with us any time there was a variation along the way. The whole project flowed smoothly and efficiently and stayed within our planned budget and timeframe.

During the construction phase, the Clar team paid close attention to detail and craftsmanship, and they were respectful and kept the job space clean. Our lead carpenter was particularly dedicated to the project and always made extra time to communicate with us while managing his team, the subcontractors and the project as a whole.

We are now living in our new kitchen and couldn’t be happier about how team Clar made our original conceptual ideas come to be a reality.

Excellent to work with and excellent work! It was awesome to be part of the entire process of design, defining a budget, and material choice so the end result was exactly what we wanted. Tweaks/options along the way as the build progressed were clearly communicated; no surprises. Highly recommend for any project if you want a very high quality result. We are super happy with our beautiful backyard deck! We are recommending Clar to all of our neighbors and friends.

This is the second time we have used Clar Construction and I highly recommended! They are trustworthy, good communicators and the work is excellent.

The Clar team undertook significant structural and remodeling work on our old farmhouse. Dan's great planning skills helped the project go smoothly, even though it was technically complex and involved multiple subs. Each member of the Clar team was very personable and invested in the work. We're pleased with the end results and look forward to working with the team on our next project.

Dan Clar and his crew are kind, thoughtful, thorough, and really good at what they do. We appreciated working with them from start to finish! They were upfront about what would and wouldn't be possible to do, and we are thrilled with the results.

We were very pleased with the complete kitchen remodel that Clar Construction completed for us. The work was high quality; communication was very good; and the crew was very competent, tidy, attentive to detail, and easy to have around. We had some problems with the delivered cabinets that were designed and ordered by a 3rd party, and Clar persisted in getting the problems resolved even though the problems were not of their making. This was all while we (the owners) were out of town. On schedule and on budget. Highly recommend!

Jared and Meg did a really nice job remodeling my home office, with Dan handling the planning behind the scenes. Everything moved like clockwork, and the finished work looks great. Jared was very thoughtful and easy going to have around the house. Everyone was very COVID conscious. Thanks!

Dan and his team built a beautiful desk/hutch in our kitchen. During the design process, Dan listened to all of our wishes and worked with us to create the exact piece we wanted. His team was great when they were working in our home- very friendly and tolerant of the kids and dog running around. They installed it in a timely manner and the finished piece is better than I hoped for! It really makes our kitchen look much better. I would be sure to hire Clar Construction again.

Clar Construction was wonderful to work with. I contacted several companies to get quotes to build a new deck and Clar far exceeded the others in communication and professionalism. They always responded timely to calls or emails, put us on the schedule and started and finished the work when they said they would, and did beautiful work. The crew was friendly, picked up after themselves, there early, and had good craftsmanship. We are so happy with our new deck and our experience with them and would highly recommend them!

Dan helped me understand a project in our home to redo some stairs. While we decided not to do the project, he was incredibly thoughtful in his approach toward the project, and did a wonderful job in quoting for us so we could determine if it could work. This kind of communication is key to a successful project, so even though we didn't move forward at this time I've left knowing much more about my options.

Entirely positive experience! Quality craftsmanship. Good value. Clear and easy communication with Dan from start to finish. The carpenters are a real team, it’s obvious they enjoy their work. They were enthusiastic and even came up with a few creative suggestions that made the projects even better than I hoped. I’m a 100% satisfied customer.

Dan and his team did a great job on our laundry room. The cabinetry is gorgeous, and the project came together on budget and within a reasonable time frame.

I have used Clar Construction for all my projects over the past 6-8 years and have always found them to do quality work, complete it according to the proposed timeline and plan, and treat us respectfully and honestly in the process. While others may charge less, the quality of their work justifies the price. And you always know where you stand expense-wise and are given pricing alternatives. I highly recommend Clar Construction!

2019: Our master bathroom and closet renovation was in the superb hands (and creative minds) of Dan and the entire Clar Construction team including an outstanding group of subcontractors for tile, electric, plumbing, etc..

Working with Clar from concept through completion was seamless and truthfully, fun. Dan and his team assured exceptional and clear project communication throughout the entire process; the budgets were followed, meticulously reviewed and importantly met at project’s completion.

Our renovation included moving walls and taking the existing bathroom space to the studs. Remarkably, we never had to move out of our bedroom throughout the entire job. Everyone on the job cleaned at the end of each day, which made living in the midst of construction remarkably easy. Importantly, the project workmanship, attention to every detail, and creative problem solving were outstanding. Having a crew of “extras’ at our home every day could not have been easier.
