Great communication, response time and quality product! Josh, Jason and Chance did an amazing install job, with Josh showing up on the job to give detailed instructions. I would rehire them in a heartbeat! Thanks again guys!!

Roger and his install team are great! They installed new gutters on our home after two outdoor patio additions. The gutters match and look like a seamless transition with our old gutters. They were so patient too with some additional questions we had about our existing gutters. They even came back out at our request for repairs needed that were a result of another contractor. They were super prompt, professional and I recommend their service.

BUYER BEWARE..I had Citywide install gutters on my house. So far they missed a downspout during install and had to come back out weeks later to add. I’ve had many leaks, and clip failures to where the gutter is pulling away from the facia. I’ve called multiple times over the course of weeks and I haven’t gotten one return call. It’s now January 2025 and to avoid more damage I had to hire another gutter outfit to repair and inspect the gutters. I would not recommend this company based off of poor workmanship and even worse customer support. They will take your money, do a shotty job and leave you with the repair bill.

I'm writing this review to say that this company's staff are very unprofessional and rude. They installed new gutter for the neighbor next door to me and dumped all the trash from their old trashy gutter on my gate which ended up in my driveway. I called them to make a complaint and requested to talk to a manager or the owner of the company to send someone and clean up the trash they left behind but no body even bothered to call me back! I don't think they're a good company because they don't care even if someone calls and complains! That tells you who runs this company!

This the second time we've used City Wide for gutters on our shed. They responded quickly, gave us good advice, gutters are sturdy and look great. They also noticed our gutter covers on house were not installed correctly after a roof job. They got up there and fixed covers. No more drips in front of the doors. Thank you very much!!

They gave me a great price and had it finished in a few days. Also, they are honest. They refunded some of my money because they didn't need as much material as they originally estimated. I really appreciate their work and honesty.

I highly recommend Citywide Custom Gutter!

After receiving a referral at a home and garden show, Roger, the owner of Citywide Custom Gutter visited our house and gave a thorough estimate on paper. I was impressed with his professionalism, clarity and communication.

His estimate was really fair, and we chose his company for our gutters.

The guys came on time, as promised, stayed for about four hours and did a beautiful job.

I would say working with Citywide Custom Gutter was a near perfect experience! Thank you!

We had City Wide Custom Gutter referred to us by a local roofer. Roger came out to our rural home and looked at our simple single-family residence, needing only 2 straight 47' gutters. So, these people sent their quote to our roofer, who forwarded it to us.
In the meantime, we changed our plan from a metal to a composition roof, so I emailed Roger Kruse, Owner/Estimator, asking for a modified quote considering the changes in design and color.
Much to my surprise I got a call from Roger, who seemed insulted by my contact and request, then he abruptly declined our little job. He exclaimed several times that he just couldn't make any money on it, repeating several times that this all-day job, needing 3 men and would just not be worth their trouble.
How do these people stay in business? Maybe a two-hour job with 3 men. Less than one hundred feet of painted steel gutter. The original quote was over $1700.00 and I suppose that's just not enough for two 47' gutters. I'm insulted and dismayed!
If you need new gutters, it might be best to keep looking beyond City-Wide Custom Gutters, who's main message to me was that they didn't warranty against "Act of God" failures, described as; "heavy snow", when Roger was on site.

From start to finish, working with Citywide Custom Gutter was a disaster. I initially worked with Roger on the bid and it was like pulling teeth to get him to give straight answers and return calls. This should have been a red flag and reason to go with another company, but I reluctantly decided to go with them on a recommendation from my roofing company.

When it came time to install the gutters, I was at home watching the installation. After the first gutter run was hung, I mentioned to the head crew member, Jacob, that the gutters looked like they were hung way too low. Jacob assured me that the gutters were hung at the correct height and there would be no issues. The crew then proceeded to install the rest of the gutters.

A few days later, I decided to do a water test (which Citywide never did) and sure enough, the gutters were hung too low - a moderate amount of water running off the roof, overshot the gutters, rendering them useless.

Upon bringing this concern up with Citywide Custom Gutter, I was told they would only do the repair (of their shoddy installation) if I paid them $400 ON TOP OF the original amount I already paid. They claimed this was because I had told them to hang the gutters low, which was a blatant lie. This company does not stand by their work and when issues come up, blames the customer. Their "warranty" is a joke.

UPDATE (reply to Citywide):

The response to this review by Citywide is factually false, specifically:

“Mr Duncan decided to direct his own installation. He would not allow the installation crew to make necessary adjustments to the mounting surfaces, yelling at them not to do so.”

- I did not direct my own installation, rather I watched the installation. As mentioned, I told the head crew member Jacob that the gutters looked too low and he told me in a matter of fact way that they were hung correctly and would work fine.

I am a generally calm person and absolutely did not yell at any crew member during the installation. My family, who was home at the time, can attest to this.

“He endangered  crew members  by climbing our ladders while crew members were at the top of them”

- I absolutely did not climb any ladders WHILE someone else was on them.

"At the end of the installation that he directed, he signed off on the work"

- I did not sign off on any work. I'd like to see this document. It does not exist.

"He then waited two weeks and decided to complain about the result"

- The co-owner Shane is aware that directly after the installation, I was on a family vacation for two weeks. I know he is aware because the day prior to leaving, my roofing company lead called Shane from Citywide, explaining the issues with the gutter. Shane said (paraphrasing) to get in touch with them when I'm back from vacation and they would correct any issues.

Roger came soon after I contacted them to get an estimate for gutter replacement. He quoted an estimate $400 lower of those from other companies. Everyone was very professional. I am extremely happy with the results of this business! Gutters and new downspouts look great!! They cleaned everything up and were done and gone in a couple hours! I highly recommend Citywide Custom Gutters. Beautiful job, guys!! Thank you so much!!!

Very pleased with the service and work product of Citywide. We had an 1800 ft multi-level house gutter replacement job done with gutter guards added to one side of the house. The price was very reasonable and the entire job was done in about 4 hours. They were quick to respond and come out for a quote, were able to get us (and our neighbor) done about 2 weeks later and we had no issues whatsoever. Very responsive with any calls as well. Strong recommendation.

Citywide replaced the gutters on our very large shed/barn. They came out to give us a detailed estimate right away, and were on site to install the color and type of gutters we wanted within days. They did a great job, the cost was quite reasonable and lower than other estimates. The staff were friendly and they closed gates, fussed over our over-friendly doggie, and left no mess. It was an ideal experience.

Outstanding service from beginning to the end. Roger was punctual, patient; honest and thorough. Brandi at the office was sweet and kind. I highly recommend CCG in a heartbeat and I love my new gutters. Thank you, Roger and Brandi, for making this process so stressless for me.

After some back & forth I got the estimator out and then ‘scheduled’ the install which had a 4-6 week delay. When I say ‘scheduled’ I mean that there is no actual date or time to plan around. When it had been 5 weeks I called to make sure they hadn’t lost my name or anything and that Thursdays & Fridays worked for us because there would be someone home. The lady was cheery & pleasant but couldn’t give me any further details except that she would pass along my info to the install crew. Another week elapsed and I finally got a call from Roger saying they might get to me the next week. When I mentioned about Thurs/Fri installation he said that they can only do M, T or W because they do WA jobs on Th & Fri. *deep breath* *eyeroll*. This is the first I heard about that. Roger still had no actual date for the install but said that he’d call me when he knew.

On this past Monday Roger contacted me & said they would come out Tues “afternoon”. I asked if he could narrow it down as one of us had to take time off work for this. No response. My husband ended up taking the day off work then sitting around the house all day waiting for an installation crew that never showed up. When I called Roger at 5pm to ask WTH he replied that the day was crazy and they would need to reschedule for another time. But he couldn’t tell me when. But maybe next week. But he would call me when he knew more. Probably next week he would call me but he was unsure about that also.

WHO STAYS IN BUSINESS OPERATING LIKE THIS?

UPDATE: within 1-2 minutes of posting this review I got a call from CityWide about this review. He explained that I didn’t understand that sometimes things happen, they’ve been in business for 11 years, they have many other things to worry about other than contacting me and that I needed to find another company to work with. I told him that their communications have been extremely poor, my husband has lost a days wages and I was going to find another company.

Service questions

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
