Down to Dirt recently completed a rehab of the paddock area around our small barn. John made recommendations regarding drainage and a catch basin which has dramatically improved the area. His crew was courteous and completed the job as planned, and even built a new brace around the water hydrant which was an unexpected extra.

We are in the planning stages with John on an upcoming project for a large slab on which a greenhouse will be built. His knowledge of how to prepare the land which is not level, while considering all the other aspects of the project
Is impressive. He is very thorough in his work.

I would recommend him for your next project .

Down to Dirt was a great company to work with on our projec which involved site prep for a concrete slab, fill compaction, and extensive storm water management work including a dispersion trench and catch basins. John listened to our requirements, provided input, and then aggressively executed the plan. He treated our project like it was his own ensuring the site was cleaned up and orderly after work each day and taking care to final grade per our preferences with insightful recommendations. John and his team were professional, approachable, and punctual each day, I would absolutely recommend reaching out to him no matter how big or small your project is, you won’t be disappointed and will be quoted a fair price for top quality work!

Excellent quality workmanship and value. John roughed in pad for our future horse arena, resulting in nearly 1000 yards of dirt moved to finish the job. He also finish graded our yard for hydroseeding.

We hired John to clear our property of trees, remove the stumps, grade our driveway as well as do our foundation cut on the new house. He went out of his way in helping us through the process and explaining things in laymen’s terms for us. His work exceeded our expectations. We would hire him again in a heartbeat. He genuinely cares about his customers and it shows through efforts. Very professional and punctual.

Great service and great customer care. Needed to prepare a pad for construction. John explained, in detail, what was needed to bring the area up to grade. Brought in the material, leveled, compacted and made sure the job was done correctly. Now ready for the contractor. Thanks John.

Excellent!!! Multi-Talented! John did an incredible job on my property. He leveled out a large area for a shop involving brush clearing, tree and stump removal (over 10 stumps) and moving large rocks all while avoiding damage to water and power lines. He brought in loads of gravel and smoothed out my driveway and made a nice level area for a shed.

He showed up for work on time every day and got to work right away. He is task motivated and will work until late into the evening if needed. I like that he is very friendly and will entertain my sometimes crazy ideas.

I would highly recommend Down to Dirt Excavating for jobs big or small. I will be calling on John to do more work for me in the future.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
