We got our roof and gutters done by JMT last summer (2024). They had done a house across the street from us in 2023 which caught my eye on how great the roof looked. I really liked John as a person when I met him in March for the estimate. JMT replaced my roof last summer. Right from the first interaction to explaining the quote and materials to scheduling the job through completion they were excellent to deal with. John kept me informed throughout and his crew were clean and efficient. The finished product looks great, professionally done. I would use JMT again without a doubt if I needed new shingles.

The person I spoke to on the phone was honest and helpful. I asked about painting of the concrete roof and he advised it is not needed as the paint will chip off after a year or so anyway. We used JMT for our roof seven years ago and remain impressed with their professionalism , quality and fair price. They did a great job.
Seven years later we had a drip in our bathroom, JMT came over next day to examine the issue at no charge. The issue turned out to be condensation from not installing a fan .The roof remains 100%.I looked at five other companies before choosing JMT. I am so happy I did.

I really can't say enough good things about this company. I have had the most positive experience with John and JMT Roofing. I watched this company replace several roofs on houses in my street so I was aware of the quality of the workmanship after watching those jobs. The price I was given was excellent and the job was really well done. They managed to complete the job with little impact on my prized garden. They cleaned up thoroughly each day after putting in 12 hours on the job. Kale and his team are really nice young guys who really care about what they do and how they do it. They work very hard! Further update on work done by John and his lovely employees: John was kind enough to send out his guys to put up my Christmas rope lights along the very topmost eaves in 2021. Of course this isn't their normal line of work, but it just goes to show how wonderfully helpful they are!

I was extremely impressed with John and his crew. They replaced the roof on my home and garage. A little background, the previous owner hired a roofing company that clearly didn't do a great job and after 14 years, that roof leaked.

I called John and when he ripped off the shingles, he noticed that there was no sheathing/plywood, and only shiplap boards. He was still able to quickly get plywood and complete the entire job in less than two days. He kept me updated throughout, communicated well, cleaned up thoroughly. Thanks John for the great job and service. Will definitely pass along your information whenever anyone needs a roofer.

I wanted to take the time to thank John and his crew at JMT for their incredible craftsmanship and dedication to their trade. One would be hard pressed to find a group of such intensely hard working individuals who show up early in the morning working tirelessly to achieve perfection. John sent around 60 photos throughout the 2 days his crew was involved in re roofing our house. Incredible time and even more incredible quality work. I did not know anything about roofing prior to John, and after seeing his work I really noticed the difference when looking at another job my friend just had done by another company. We have already asked John to redo the gutters and will be his customer for life.

This is the second time I have used John and his crew to reroof. Our experience the first time was absolutely amazing. John was transparent and honest. I never felt oversold. I wrote a review about it last time and it was for a house I was managing for our friend. There was no question that when I came to re-roofing our own home, I was only going to be with John. Due to the city announcing some sudden changes to their schedule in roadwork and potential impact on access issues, John was able to change his schedule to accommodate my needs and quickly set a date to do the job. He came several times in advance to prepare for the job and never got annoyed when I was feeling indecisive about the color. The crew came on time and completed the job with the upmost professionalism. Everything was protected and everything was cleaned up at the end of the day. Throughout I received photos from John to know exactly what was going on and to see an even greater detail the level of care and skill involved in his work. You can truly feel that everyone on the team has a lot of pride in what they do. Since the job finished there have been countless stares and people coming to us wondering who did our roof. I always tell them there is no one else to consider other than John’s company. A few months after the job was done I noticed some discolouration in certain areas on the roof. John quickly contacted the shingle representative to brainstorm what the reason might be and was fully prepared to pull off the shingles and replace them. Fortunately when Kail arrived we discovered that the issue was unrelated to the shingle itself but due to the fact that there is a lot of pollen in our neighbourhood and certain areas of the roof don’t get exposed to enough rain and a simple hose was able to rinse off all the brown and yellow discoloration. What I’m trying to say is that John will look after you and he will tell you as it is and he’ll service you like crazy to ensure that you’re happy. Please do yourself a favour and choose John for all your roofing and gutter needs. Yes his gutters and his gutter man Leo are also the best in town.

We have a tricky, steep slopes roof. The men from JMT came in, ripped up and redid my roof in quick quality fashion. These guys are top notched. In January 2019, after a particularly heavy rain, we discovered that our home had three leaks in our roof. We live in East Richmond near Queensborough (New Wes)t and wanted someone local. My wife searched the internet and came across JMT Roofing and their good reviews. We gave John a call and he came over with his foreman and measured up the roof for replacement. Shortly after John arrived with a detailed quote and went over every detail with us to make sure we understood and were comfortable with his recommendations. The quote was accepted and the project scheduled. The JMT roofing crew showed up on the date agreed to and got right down to work.
John came over every day during the replacement and went over any concerns, questions, or potential issues we had. John was great in advising us of what roofing upgrades would enhance the curb appeal of our home. We had the gutters replaced at his recommendation, as they were 35 years old and also were starting to fail. We had one minor call back for one of the gutters that was pooling some water. The crew came by and fixed the issue promptly and professionally to our complete satisfaction. The roof with the new gutters looked so good that we decided to paint the facia boards and added some trim to the garage door and windows. We just finished painting and are very pleased at the way everything looks. John was recommended by three of my neighbours (yes, he basically helped half of the New West Queensborough area). He was awesome to work with, knowledgeable, responsive and reliable. We actually did both our roof and gutter with them. The end result was great and the process was seamless.

I had a large garden shed in the back yard that needed a complete roof replacement (plywood and shingles). Even though in roofing terms it was a relatively small job, John and his team fit me in within a few days of the quote. Even though access to the shed was complicated, the were able to walk materials in and out and still complete the job in 1/2 a day. They are hard workers, they stay within the quoted price, are efficient and do a great job.

My brother in law recommended John and JMT Roofing. From the second I met John during the quote, I knew we would be going with his company. He was honest, and forthright. He was reasonably priced, and followed his quote. I felt like John truly cared about our roof and our gutters, and didnt want us to be unhappy at all.
