I don’t usually leave reviews, but this company earned it. They showed up when they said they would, didn’t try to upsell me, and actually cared about fixing the issue — not just making a sale. Honest people doing solid work.

This team made what could have been a stressful process feel easy. They were kind, professional, and genuinely seemed to care about doing a good job. You can tell they take pride in their work. I’ll be recommending them to all my neighbors!

I haven’t worked with them but based on the many negative reviews about complete lack of professionalism, I am not shocked their guy parked like this. If you want to take up 2 spaces because you can’t park properly or need to put large items in your van then don’t park close to the front of the store. Consideration goes a long way.

Did they clean my roof and gutters? Yes.

However, I paid for the premium package, which included ground clean-up and was left with a huge mess on the ground (moss and sludge) that I had just power washed, and streaks on my windows from them spraying the roof. I asked them to come out and clean up, and they showed up 3 hours early, then went into my neighbors yard instead of mine until I texted them to tell them they were in the wrong place, then they left my gate open after they left (I have a dog that could get out).

I am incredibly unimpressed with the lack of care and communication that I received. I do not recommend.

My roof began leaking a few weeks ago and my HOA hired them to come inspect and repair. I was not able to be home at the time so I had a friend stay at my house so they could access the attic and see where the leak was coming from.

When they came they needed access to the back of the condo to get on the roof, but couldn’t wait 5 minutes for me to respond with the lock combination They just cut the lock to my back gate instead of waiting for me to give them the lock combination. I literally responded with the information 30 seconds after they cut my lock.

They inspected inside and out, said there was a damaged vent, replaced it and said that should take care of it. 3 days later it began raining again and the leak continued.

I contacted the HOA as they had hired another company to come repair the water damage but I didn’t want them to come if the leak hadn’t been fixed. The HOA decided to let the second company come and see if they could figure out the leak. They said the vent wasn’t sealed properly when it was replaced and did the seal for me. Then I had fans in the house for over a week drying everything.

Two days after the dryers were done, the roof continued to leak after another rain storm. I contacted the HOA and they had me make an appointment with Chinook again. When I stated that they didn’t fix the leak the first time, the person on the phone told me it was a miscommunication as they had never been able to access inside the house to see where the leak was and could only fix what was on the outside. I was so stunned by this outright lie that I had no response at the time and gave them the code to get into my house as I wouldn’t be able to be home for them.

After I hung up, I confirmed with my friend that they had in fact accessed the inside of the house, as that was the whole reason for her being inconvenienced enough to be there for them. I called Chinook back to give them specific availability to come over as I now wanted my friend to be there. I do not trust them after this lie and need a witness as to what they are doing at my house.

After giving availability hours last week, they said they would let me know what works for them and make an appointment. It has now been several days and I haven’t heard back from them. There is still a hole in my ceiling and a leak in my roof. This is extremely frustrating. I am forced to work with them due to the HOA paying for the process, but if I had a choice I’d never use this company due to their dishonesty and inability to repair the problem, and severe lack of communication.

I had a very steep roof of cement tiles. The roof is the dominant feature of my house, as it covers the second story. I hired Chinook to remove the cement tiles and install asphalt architectural shingles that were varied in color. Chinook hired day labor guys, who worked without supervision. The shingles were CROOKED, and it is very obvious that the shingles aren’t straight. When I complained, Chinook sent me a picture of my own roof, from an oblique angle, trying to gaslight me into believing that the shingles weren’t crooked. Driving up to the house, it is very obvious that the shingles are crooked. There was also extensive INTENTIONAL damage, including the nailing of ladders to my composite deck, dumping of large plywood sheets on my landscaping, cracking up my cement driveway, scraping the paint off my deck railing, and daily dumping of cold drinks and ice on my plants. I tried working this out with Chinook, and they put me on speaker phone so that the office could laugh at my complaints. They broke the skylights repeatedly during installation, and had to reorder and install them after completion of the roof. So, the flashing shows around the skylights, which is obvious because the full area of some of the skylights can be seen when you walk up to the house. I recently had a guy give me a bid on roof cleaning, and he showed me four photos of defects in the roof that he says will result in future leaks. Terrible roofers!

Not sure the quality of work as I'm not a general contactor. Bit they left quite a mess on my patio and exterior of my driveway such as spare nails and staples on the ground near my car. Splashed roofing filth on my siding and windows that I had to clean up. They started the work later on the morning around 1030-11 and prolonged the finish date past a week. Bad weather did not help the contracted bid and I'm not are why it took so long to get a contract, it was set by a third party.

5 year old home’s original roofing company. Roof started leaking and I inquired about someone coming out to inspect it. I was told cost was 250$ just to inspect it. I was advised over the phone that the warranty on workmanship was only covered for two years as well. Will recommend other roofing companies who stand behind their work.

Your guys should fix your phone system. I only got voice recording on all options. Maybe get a real person to answer phone and you wouldn't have lost a potential customer. And I would have give no stars but you can't. Also if not going to get real person to answer phone maybe let people leave voice mail.

Chinook Roofing is amazing! We got several quotes from roofers and decided to go with Chinook Roofing. I loved their "no pressure" sales approach and how transparent they were about their costs/fees. Their team was amazing to work with from beginning to end. They showed up on time and finished the project on schedule and on budget. There were no surprises along the way. I highly recommend Chinook Roofing if you are looking to get a new roof!

I was in a situation with my business where I needed a roof done immediately and it was out of town so I needed someone I could trust. Chinook Roofing was very understanding about our pay schedule and our time frame and made it work not only for them but for us as well. They got me a bid right away ( a very reasonable one) and where able to get the materials and start within a couple days. They scheduled two days to get the job done and while we were on site we got to see them work. I have never seen a faster more efficent crew in my lifetime. Not only did they do an amazing job but they got it done in ONE day! The communication was great and the job was done way above my satisfaction. I would definatly recommend them whether you live in Fife or not too see if you can have them do your own roof. Very reasonable, fast, understanding, and efficent. Great team!!!

+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
