Charleston Roofs + Windows

I had 14 windows replaced on my three bedroom ranch home in May of this year. The new windows replaced the originals to the house built in 1965. The insulated double glass with sun protection is such an improvement, both energy wise and sound reduction from outside.
I'm completely satisfied with the product and the service I received from Charleston Roofs and Windows. The crew was very well organized, efficient, and did a thorough job with trim pieces cut properly and caulked. All the windows open and shut smoothly. They were completely done in about three hours and cleaned up everything.
The business office ladies were responsive to my questions and communication was good throughout.
I definitely recommend Charleston Roofs and Windows to anyone who is shopping for window replacement.

Michael Kelley is your man. I needed a roof inspection for my house. He came out, did his thing and got me the information I needed for the mortgage company. He was professional from beginning to end. Customer Service at its best!!!

I cannot recommend this company highly enough. My roof turned out to be a lot more complicated than any of us suspected. Everyone communicated clearly about what the issues were and what was needed to get the roof done right. The job was still completed on time so that other scheduled work could commence! Finding a good contractor for a project is so hard these days. Use these guys and your project will get done as stress free as possible.

We had a great experience with Charleston Roofs from start to finish for replacing our skylights. The rep that came out to assess the project was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. We got a few quotes from other companies and CR+W was the fairest.

Our project manager stayed in contact during the whole install. The work was done well, efficiently and the area was cleaned up when the work was completed.

We would definitely recommend them!

Charleston Roofs and Windows was such a great company to work with. They came in checked out my roof and were able to replace it that same week. Fast and efficient.

Avoid this terrible company. They don't tell you that they hide language in your contract that gets them out of damages that they cause scott free. They caused $2100 of damage to our HVAC unit and just stuck it on us claiming "it was in the contract." They're just another underhanded, cheat of a company out screwing over the little guys. And they don't care because they get their money.

You know I don't know how the roofing business does things since this was my first interaction with a roofer in the area but Michael Kelly of Charleston Roofing and Windows was a very polished sales rep when you came and did the estimate for our roof replacement he packaged it up in a very nice email a lot of fancy pictures and nice write-ups about who all works there pass it on to your neighbor get a $250 reward from you and they'll get a $250 break on their bill but all looks so nice and everything nicely wrapped up in a total price. But I want to know a little bit more I wanted some details like what was the breakdown on my cost for materials such as what you pay for the replacement roofing tiles or shingles what type of underpending will you use felt or plastic weatherproof etc etc And how much do you charge for your labor is it a three-man team five-man team how much you charging for disposal of the old roofing material I think these are rational questions that a homeowner should be able to get an answer to but Michael informs me of that no no roofers or other roofing companies whatever give that information out and I find that hard to believe well I'm not going with this company and I hate to give them a one star and haven't even used them but if Michael Kelly is the indication of this type of interaction with this company I'll make sure to tell everybody that I know about my experience with them initially One person won't break a company I'm sure one unhappy customer but maybe the owner of the company will reach out to me directly I would like to hear his views on this type of a routine work that is being done by Michael Kelly anyway that's my two cents for today beware thank God there are other roofing companies and they're a little more easy to work with providing me the necessary information that I asked for to make an informed decision when I compare the bids I don't mind paying for quality workmanship and quality materials by like to how much they cost up front so I can compare them there's always something negotiation that should be able to be made not one price this is it taking or leave it which is what Michael basically wanted me to do but anyway anyone reading this beware.

I had a roof leak and called Charleston Roofing. They came out the next day and within two days we were in a contract to replace my roof. Eric Chesnutt explained everything they were gonna do.Then Jared Purcell took over as my project manager. They were very professional. The job was completed in one day. The crew that came did an amazing job. When they left my house and yard was better and cleaner then when they started.

I called Charleston Roof & Windows to inspect our roof after the snow we had in January. They were able to schedule our appointment right away and did a great job! I wasn't able to be home but they were happy to come out anyway and they called very quickly to let me know everything was okay. We will definitely use them again. The office staff was a great help and very professional.

The service went flawlessly from Kevin doing the estimate to picking the shingles color, to getting the material the day before. The day of the install the crew showed up at 7am started covering up the plants and then removing the old roofing. Jered the project manager showed around 8am making sure all was well. The workers stayed with the job like a welled oiled machine replacing old rotten wood to installing the new roofing system. They were finished and cleaned the whole area of my house around 4pm. Very good from start to finish.

My entire experience was amazing. To start they had the best pricing. Ok now that that’s out of the way let’s talk about tbe communication. I have never needed a roof so I had no idea what to ask. Michael came out and answered all my questions (in his flashy shirt ) He never got annoyed and was quick to answer any text or email. Amanda in the office was super helpful with answering questions about my options for payment and getting me in touch with someone when needed. The team that did the roof was SO fast I was shocked! They cleaned up beautifully and the project manager, Mike, walked me through the whole roof after to ensure I was satisfied. Next came windows. Again the team was friendly and fast. Grady was super helpful as we ran into an unexpected wall disaster that needed immediate attention. He explained it to me and found someone to fix it. (That guy also freaking phenomenal) the windows and roof are beautiful and I would highly recommend. I got about 5 estimates and it wasn’t all about money. It was about who seemed the most helpful, knowledgeable and communicated the best with a woman who doesn’t know jack about this stuff. They did! Charleston Roofs and Windows were very professional from getting the quote to the installation process to recheck after work completed. They replaced the roof on my mom’s house and it looks really nice. I thought they were also competitively priced and I would recommend them to anyone needing a new roof.

The process of getting both a new roof and some windows replaced was seamless. The project supervisor was professional from his assessment to the follow up after the job was complete. Roofing and the window installation was Fast and clean. When they left, everything was picked up, I couldn’t be more pleased.

My insurance company was requiring me to have a new roof put on or they were gonna cancel my policy as usual I procrastinated it didn’t even start looking for a roofer until a week before the deadline I couldn’t believe these guys got it done. We discovered a leak (rain dripping from a can light) and called Chas Roofs & Windows. They responded immediately, as hurricane Helene was on its way. Grady Brown discovered the leak quickly, he climbed on the roof and then patched it - all in the same call! Grady took photos, explained how the leak occurred and told us what to watch out for in the future. 5 stars to Charleston Roofs & Windows... and Grady.

We recently hired Charleston Roof and Windows to see why our ceiling was leaking over the fireplace. They promptly scheduled an appointment, and Michael came to assess the situation.

He went up on the roof and took some pictures and showed us where the wood between the cap and chimney was all rotted. He gave us an estimate and the job was completed the following week.

The staff kept in contact with us before and after, and they did a great job.
I would definitely recommend them!

Great company to work with for windows. I received quotes from half a dozen companies in the area and these guys offered the most complete package when considering window quality (Pella in my case), price, window metal wrapping for trim, and wood repair prior to window installation (minimal in my case). I would give 4.5 stars or 5 but my only complaint is that their subcontractor could have been more customer service oriented and friendlier to deal with. However, his metal work is very good and the finished product looks great. I would definitely use these guys again in the future.

Would highly recommend this company. They were knowledgeable, helpful, courteous and punctual! Roof and repairs look great and the mess was completely picked up before they left. We were kept informed of everything they were planning to do and completed. Very satisfied with their performance!

Grady did a great job replacing damaged shingles from the Jun downburst. He had everything he needed to do the repair and was here and finished in less than an hour. They had originally responded to my request quickly and provided an estimate within a few days. Working us into the very busy schedule was the only thing that took time and our repair was minor.

Prompt, professional, courteous, and did a fabulous job with our new windows. We were very happy with Adam, Danny and their crew.

We were very disappointed. The new windows did not match the ones we had in the sunroom. They broke a curtain rod and failed to replace the curtains and the blinds. The dining room windows were good. We were promised plywood to cover the windows in case of hurricanes. No plywood was here.

I worked with a number of different people. Each one was very responsive and kept me in the loop with all updates. They accommodated my schedule to do the work. There was a mishap with a trailer being dropped off early, but they took care of the communication immediately. It was nice that they worked with insurance a lot and was able to help me out with any questions also. Punctual and knowledgeable.

Excellent and professional service! My roof was damaged in a storm, and Amanda arranged for Eric to come out and help the same day I called. They installed my new roof in one day, and did a great job. The crew was very efficient and tidy and Grady was super; he explained the process and answered all of my questions. We recently found a problem with a drip edge that was unrelated to Charleston Roof's installation but gave them a call because we trusted them to give us an honest assessment. Eric once again responded almost immediately and explained in detail what was causing our issue. They took care of us quickly and efficiently. We continue to recommend them for their quality and commitment to customer satisfaction.

**Original Review**Truly outstanding service. Eric Chesnutt showed up when he said he would, communicated thoroughly and accurately what we should expect, demonstrated flexibility in accommodating our changed vacation plans, and followed up after the job was completed.
The crew was extremely hard-working (especially on a 90+ degree day) and put in a 13 hour day to finish the job. They protected our lawn and shrubs and were diligent in cleaning up afterwards especially in the driveway and street.
Our insurance company went into receivership after our claim was approved. Charleston Roofs and Windows was willing to wait for final payment until the SC Guaranty fund issues a check. They were very understanding and assured us that we would not be on the hook for any further payments. This is a roofing company that shows integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

They are awesome to work with. Used them for a roof and now windows. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was done right.
