They did a pergola for our home they did not get permits, a year later the county came and asked for permits we ended up with a $2k bill with fines and had to have it altered to pass inspection. They were unresponsive and didn’t take my calls when asking for assistance. Highly do not recommend if you want someone who will guarantee their work.

Very poor workmanship. They enclosed a back door and added a small overhang and a sliding door to the back of our house. Slider didn't work right away. It took four months for them to fix it. We've had pretty mild winters until this year since the project was completed (about 4 years ago). This year we have leaking in our house. Come to find out the roof is too flat and it is not flashed to the house so water just pours right in. Really frustrating when you spend thousands of dollars and things are not built to last. I have to have it all re-done now.

I would recommend Chad & Dad any day. I had them out to do a complete remodel on my kitchen before the holidays and they did a great job! They were on time, they kept my house clean while they were working and the guys they had here were very friendly and professional. I will definitely be using them again!

Would not recommend working with them. Had to call them constantly to find out where they were in the process of getting the bid to when they were going to start the project. The day before they were to start which was 2 months after the bid was given they realized they didn't have all the paperwork ready for the job and would have to reschedule. Then after further discussion decided they didn't want to do the job. You want a big headache and poor planning this is your company.

GREAT EXPERIENCE! They were professional, on time (early in fact!), came out within 24 hours to give a bid & all the people that were at our home working on various days, were polite and all of them took a lot of care in what they did. They really seemed to take on the job like it was their own home! The final product was top notch too of course! I'd also add there were no surprises on the bill, it was exactly as promised even though some things came up that were unexpected. I also have experience with them on another job & the outcome was the same - very professional, on time & on budget. Really you can't say enough good things when you find an honest & timely contractor!

Chad & Dad recently put a new roof on for us. Everyone we dealt with from this company was professional, courteous, and overall friendly. They finished the complete tear down and Roof in about a day and half. My house has never looked better. After they left there was barely a trace of evidence they were ever there. Besides the beautiful new roof. Thank you for the work you did and I look forward to using you in the future.

We had asked that they arrive at 7:30 a.m. as we both worked. When the clock struck 7:30, they rolled up to our front door. We walked around the house verifying the work to be done prior to any work getting started. Once we all agreed, they got to work right away. The finished product looks great, they cleaned up after themselves and we courteous the entire time. Good job and would DEFINITELY recommend these guys for projects around your house!

These folks did a great job for us on framing and roof work. I would definitely recommend them for similar work.
I don't understand the reviews that I read stating poor quality and using other contractors to rectify poor work. If these customers had problems, why didn't they insist on Chad correcting the problems? Also, this company has an A+ BBB rating with NO complaints?

We moved into a home remodeled by Chad & Dad Construction. Very POOR workmanship, inaccurate placement of bathroom faucets (unable to plug drains to hold water in sink); tiles in bathtub/shower area were broken (and used anyway); no sealant used around sinks; cracks have appeared in walls; painted over cable cords; unfinished woodwork; cosmetic only repair of ceiling leak (it felt like a sponge after the first rainstorm) and worst yet - no permits were obtained AND structural "repairs" have caused additional structural damage! They may be cheap, but you get what you pay for! STAY AWAY from Chad & Dad Construction!!!

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
