I recently purchased a property that was a major fixer upper. I wanted to do some of the work myself but there were several areas where I needed help. I communicated with Chris at CGS Construction what I needed done and he made it happen. He got the jobs completed in a timely manner. Quality work as advertised with no hidden surprises. I would not hesitate to give Chris a call on any future projects.

My hot water heater was causing some serious water damage under my house In the crawlspace. All of my sub floors had to be replaced. The owner, Chris came in and done a great job replacing all of my floors and doing a remodel on my first floor.
I later hired him to do the build out at our cigar lounge here in Athens downtown on the Square and he done an amazing job there.
My wife and I will be building a new home very soon and we will be calling CGS Construction to do it as well.
They have always done really amazing work for us. These are great people and they have a great company.

They are quick to take your money, but once construction is supposed to begin they will drag their feet and not communicate. It’s been 16 months and the home is nowhere near completed. This is the same case for several others who are also using this builder. I would stay away and find another builder.

Absolutely recommend CGS construction! They are amazing to work with and stayed in touch with us about everything. If we had questions about anything, they were very quick to respond to us the same day.

Thank you Chris Shindorf and the CGS team for my beautiful custom home! I've long admired Chris' work, so when it came time to build, I knew CGS was who I would trust. From modifying the original plans to suit my needs, to adding custom features and guiding me through the smallest of details, Chris made sure I had the right amount of classic design without sacrificing efficiency. Whenever I called with a question, a change request, or simply wanting to do a walk through for my own peace of mind, Chris ALWAYS took care of my concerns right then and there. I've been in my new home for almost 7 months now, and Chris still checks in to make sure everything is okay. Needless to say, I would highly recommend CGS Construction if anyone is looking to build or renovate their home. .

Company does not give you updates on anything. They do not call and confirm anything. Contractor didn't show up to my house to do my windows. After two hours of trying to find him I finally got in contact with him and he said he took another job that morning and would be there that afternoon even though my appointment was for 9 that morning. Two hours went by still hadn't heard from him. His supervisor finally called me that afternoon. Said he didn't have my information to get in contact with me and that he couldn't call his office because the phone line was tore up. Excuse after excuse. He informed me that the contractor isn't coming today because he was in the hospital. It is now one o'clock and my appointment was at 9. It took them four hours to get in touch with me. Their contractor straight up lied to my face. He never had any intentions on showing up that day. I waited almost 2 months to get these windows put in and this company had no idea where their contractor was and did nothing to resolve the situation. Needless to say they got fired by me and I used B and H. They had someone at my house within two hours of finding out about my problem.
