I call my experience with Cedar Valley " Disaster to Delight " . Several months ago winds were high and a pretty nasty storm was hitting us. I heard a loud crash , I ran outside in the rain and my worst fears were true. A huge branch/ tree had hit the roof/ side of my house. The next day I saw water stains on the ceiling in the interior of my house so it seemed like a real Disaster. I had no idea what to do but I knew water getting inside my house was bad news . I reached out to Cedar Valley and thats when my experience began to turn around. They were out to my house immediately , and a very nice young man ( think his name was Ian ) got up on my roof, assessed the damage, and even put a tarp over the damaged area to mitigate any future damage from water leakage. He explained the complexities of my roof, the process of matching shingles and a whole lot more I never knew about roofing. I dont know about everyone else but I hate dealing with insurance companies , but once again my associate from Cedar Valley was a real delight, he acted as a full service concierge between my insurance and me. My claim was approved and repairs began right away. The crew worked fast and worked on my house straight through till finished. No garbage around my house when they were done, roof looked great. They were also helpful in helping me find a great guy for my interior sheetrock repair. So delighted at how this was resolved !! Certainly hope I dont need you guys again but its sure nice knowing you are there if I do .

This is Therese... I had Mike Tabele come over to estimate my hail stone damage, which was at both houses. He took care of the whole thing, talking to the insurance company, and updating me frequently. I also had interior damage, which was also covered by my insurance company. He made the whole process easy with photos for the insurance company, and I appreciate the help as I don't understand roofing and how fix a leak or what happens to the interior of a house with a leak. There is no other companies I would use, and I have recommended them many of my relatives who are also satisfied!

Our property was hit by the tornado that passed through RI in August 2023. We reached out to Cedar Valley in October after being blown off or ignored by other companies. At first they were somewhat responsive; they sent a crew to check out the damage within a couple weeks of my call. But when it came to getting quotes and getting the job started they were really bad about communicating and scheduling. I get the sense that they're a big company so I understand that they may have a lot going on but when your house is damaged , the longer it sits the worse it gets. We needed a new roof, gutters and vinyl repair. From the initial inspection It took them 10 months for a crew to actually set foot on our property.

The crew they sent was a 2 person outfit they in all likelyhood found in a Home Depot parking lot that morning. The roof was replaced but they've ignored my requests and questions about our gutters and vinyl. If you're considering hiring Cedar Valley, save yourself the trouble and go find a Home Depot parking lot crew yourself first thing tomorrow.

No one I dealt with face to face was over the age of 25, It seems like they're constantly burning through cheap labor in the form of kids just out of school or day laborers who they can pay nothing. Avoid. I'd rate 1 star but that would reflect poorly on the freelance day laborers who actually did the work.

Was able to get a new roof thanks to Ross who noticed that we had a missing shingle. After going through the insurance claim process, Ernesto was then able to help us with getting the right color and roof shingle picked out and helped with explaining the extended warranty process which is worth a bit extra. Would recommend this company to anyone else looking for a roof replacement. Also working with Clari in their office was smooth too

The roof and skylights look great and after a month, no leaks. I will update my review if that changes. I understand that after having a job like this done to your house, you may come across a nail or two. I found 14 nails in my driveway near where the dumpster was. Surprisingly, our vehicle tires didn't pick any up. I would have expected the crew to do a quick sweep at least.

Update: it's been 4 months since my initial review. I'm taking away two stars on the rating because we just discovered water damage coming through our ceiling around both of the skylights. The insurance company will be receiving a phone call tomorrow morning.

This place was great from the beginning. Hayden was coming through our neighborhood after a hail storm that we got and pointed out a few major issues. We ended up getting our roof fixed with all new shingles and a couple new peices of wood. Would definitely recommend to friends and family!

Very happy with experience with cedar valley exteriors, when we discovered a leak in our roof, Adam took great care of us through the whole process of inspection, quoting, permitting and the actual replacement. These folks did an awesome job replaced my Dad's roof. They new how to navigate the insurance company and were able to maximize what my dad qualified for in terms of reimbursement for storm damage to his roof. It made it possible for my dad to get a new roof when he otherwise would not have been able to afford to - and working with Charles was a joy. He was always responsive, available and reliable. We were beyond pleased and they certainly exceeded expectations.

We had a hail storm in the Chin Hill area of Westerly 9 days ago. Next morning we called our roofer to check our roof. That same day your guys came to the door asking to check our roof. We said no we were all set. They persisted. But we held-no! When your guys did check neighbors roofs they asked our neighbors to call us and encourage us to have you on our roof. Over the past 9 days your guys have rang our door bell every dinner time and early evening. We have explained the home owner insurance company is coming. We have a roofer. Your representatives each explain they are on commission from your company so are hungry and persist to get a sale. I get it- but they are as persistent as mosquitos! Pests!

Two days ago a person named Ethan came to my door to set up something for my home he was very unprofessional and doesn’t take no for an answer. When I asked about my home insurance rate for renewal if I went through the process beat around the bush and kept talking over me. I wouldn’t want to work with someone like that ever again. In May, I noticed my attic vent was blown off and there was a stain on my bedroom ceiling. I posted my issue on Nextdoor and immediately received a call from Anthony Nogueira. He and his colleague, Ernesto Walsky came right over on a Sunday and inspected the roof and also repaired the vent and leak. Anthony and Ernesto explained to me that the roof looked like it was damaged in the big early spring windstorm and that I might be able to have the roof replaced with my insurance. They actually did most of the leg work which included photos of the roof. To my surprise I was granted a new roof minus my deduction. The new roof has been installed by Cedar Valley Roofing and looks great. The large team completed it in one day and cleaned up well. Every part was conducted in a professional, respectful manner. Although I have been a homeowner for many years, I probably would not have thought about pursuing a claim. Thank you Anthony and Cedar Valley Roofing.

I had to have my roof replaced due to wind damage. I contacted the insurance and after six months of back and forth, I wasnt getting anywhere with them. I contacted Cedar Valley and Ernesto came out the same day to evaluate the roof.

Working with Ernesto was such a pleasure. He is friendly, patient and was super knowledgeable on exactly what my 20+ year old roof needed, a full replacement, not a patch work like other contractors had recommended. He guided me through the insurance process and roof install from start to finish. He helped me to get the insurance company to take action on my claim, something I could not do on my own in over six month, he got it done in a very short time. He even helped me choose the perfect color to match the exterior paint color on the house.

I visited my friend a couple months ago and noticed he got a new roof. I asked him how much it costed and he told me that Cedar Valley Exteriors got it paid for by his insurance company due to the storm damage on his roof. I decided to call Cedar Valley and was greeted by Ernesto. He came over and gave me a free inspection and notified me that I did indeed have storm damage. He thoroughly explained how Cedar Valley gets roofs replaced due to wind damage and I decided to start the process. A few weeks later I got the news that my insurance company was replacing my roof and I could not be happier. Thanks to Ernesto and Cedar Valley I saved tons of money on a roof and got one less thing on my mind!

Will H knocked on my door while they were completing a project they were working on up the street, some of my neighbors got their roofs done by Cedar Valley after a recent storm we had a couple months back. They offered me a free inspection, showed me pictures of the damage, and presented me with options. My insurance company came out and only approved a repair, Cedar Valley contacted my insurance company and got it approved for a full roof replacement and just completed the work. I couldn’t be happier. I have already referred them to a family member and will continue to refer them. Will was very professional and made sure that no one in my neighborhood was missed, thanks to them, almost my whole street has brand new roofs now.

Do Not Open the door to this company!!! Do not use them!!!! Cedar valley knocked on my door one day offering to do a free evaluation of my roof. They said if I had wind damage my insurance would pay for a new roof. Turned out, I had wind damage. The cedar valley representative assured me that I had no obligation to use them for the roof job. I was presented with an iPad and told I was agreeing to let them speak to my adjuster and I was NOT obligated to them to do the work. Cedar valley spoke with my insurance company from my phone then they met with my adjuster. All of this took under an hour. I was taught by my father to get at least 3 estimates before choosing a contractor, so I had 3 other companies come and give me estimates. I decided to use a different company. Cedar valley is now sending me a bill for $1608.20!! They have blown up my phone relentlessly with texts and calls leading up to this. Stay far away from this company

I shouldn't be allowed my first amendment right of free speech because I had a negative experience with this company? Wow. Please check all my reviews, I have left 31 on Google. The ONLY negative one is Cedar valley. You will also find a glowing review of Am/Pm roofing who I did choose & highly recommend over these thieves!!

This company took an obvious miscommunication & is using it to cash in. Are there actually people out there who would sign a contract with a company that just knocked on their door?? Without a referral, without checking their Google rating or better business bureau or even seeing their previous work?? Especially on something as expensive and structurally important as a roof!?! So with my granddaughter distracting me, I thought I was agreeing to no obligation if they talked to my insurance company.

And this iron clad contract I signed, that they now say I could have backed out of in three days...I signed it on 3/14/24 and only received a copy of it on 4/30/24 a full month and a half later, as part of them extorting me for a $1608. payout for a "free evaluation " and a 45 minute meeting with my insurance.

Even if their time amounted to two hours, which it didn't, they feel what they did is worth $800 an hour?! My best friend's cancer specialist probably doesn't even make that per hour but, cedar valley, you do. Then calling me unethical and saying I kept some or all of the insurance check is ironic to say the least!

The company I chose to move forward with was more expensive than the check and depreciation so I DID NOT pocket any $$ as Cedar valley is baselessly & slanderously saying. I chose a company that gave me a straight forward estimate immediately (cedar valley vaguely said the job wouldn't cost me anything. Only gave me a legitimate estimate 2 wks later), who brought LARGE samples of roof tile selection & went on my roof with the LARGE samples to help me decide (cedar valley told me to look online) was generally more knowledgeable & educated me about my roof. Clearly they are desperate for money which is a huge red flag! They are twisting a miscommunication into a chance to steal my hard earned money for doing nothing!

Cedar Valley says I thoroughly read the contract? It's two pages long with tons of fine print & on a small iPad! I looked at it at most five seconds, read that I was under no obligation and signed. Cedar valley must think I'm a Guinness World Record speed reader! Why didn't they email me a copy immediately? I could have printed it out & read it! Why only produce the contract 6 wks later to extort their "liquidation fee"?

Here's everything they did for $1608; knocked on my door, inspected my roof for 10 minutes, spoke to the insurance company 10 minutes then met the inspector at my house for another 40-45 minutes. They ordered NO materials & spent no $$. Take me to court. You have my attorney's info. Stop harassing me:)

First I will start by saying I have never been more impressed with the customer service, honesty, and quality of services. Ernesto was the best. He not only came to do the estimate for my roof but was here with the crew overlooking the entire project. I have had family members call and they say the same. Never been happier. I would definitely recommend Ernesto! From negotiating with the insurance company to installing the roof, he consistently demonstrates kindness, positivity, and a willingness to assist!

I am updating my previous review as they are making efforts to make things better ... I have changed from a 1 star to a 4 star ... once Ernesto got involved things moved very quickly... I am waiting for a few final details to be handled but the roof looks great so far now that the service concerns were addressed.

Original post: I wouldn't recommend them I had a repair that needed doing and they stopped answering for almost 2 months now they are trying to to enforce the contract from 11/2023 after I found a new contractor ... They contacted me in February to try to get things started and I asked some questions they called my insurance company again and told them I needed to see what was going on with the other company and now they are saying we are still under contract ...even after not answering calls or texts for weeks. So apparently I was supposed to wait patiently for them to not answer until they were ready and to accept unanswered calls and texts and be patient ... now they want me to write a check for $17,000... I feel scammed and do not trust them at all ... trying to see if I am absolutely stuck with them completing the work bc of the issues we had ... honestly do not want them touching my house or the money for my roof

First, I just want to say I am writing this two days after job was completed and I am hoping the issues will be resolved and I will be able to come back and adjust review. The day after the job was done, we had 10 hours of rain, a perfect test. Well, the test failed. I noticed a 4 in wet spot in my bathroom that was not there before. Under writer took pictures prior so that can very easily be verified. While checking the upstairs bathroom I noticed the gutter supports out of place. I grab my ladder and fix 3 supports. While fixing that I removed debris and wood that was now clogging my downspout. Currently, I am not happy with the outcome, but I am optimistic that Cedar Vally will fix this leaking issue that was not there before.

From the minute the issue was brought to light Ernesto was in contact. He made every effort to get the roofer out to look at the issues and come up with a solution. Within a week, due to scheduling or it would have been sooner, the roof was fixed and through the last two storms there has not been any issues with leaking.

The immediate response to the issues was second to none and Cedar Valley fixed my concerns, which was greatly appreciated. Now that the roof is completed the dormer can be sided and the trim can be done in vinyl.

We worked with John Gaylord who couldn't have been more professional, knowledgeable or pleasant to work with. John worked with us and over saw the job from beginning to end. The only thing we had to do was pick out the roofing shingles. Everything from working with the insurance to completing the job was done for us. We are extremely pleased with the workmanship and quality of the shingles. The crew that did the job were hard workers who did everything in one day and cleanup was great. I highly recommend Cedar Valley Exteriors and you would be very lucky if John was assigned to your project.

Working with John Gaylord made this whole process so easy. He worked with me through my insurance company and guided me through the whole experience. No high pressure sales, just a down to earth person. And the roof looks terrific.

I worked with Dave Faraone, he was great not only helped with the shingles but showed me my plywood on my roof needed to be replaced. The guys did a great job, worked hard and finished in a day. I highly recommend them.

Cedar Valley Exteriors, Inc. did a fantastic job helping us out with roof damage due to a very bad hail storm. We had direct strikes from 2-3" hail all over our roof, drastically shortening it's life and making repairs an urgent necessity. Cedar Valley Exteriors representatives handled everything for us, from inspecting our roof to filing an insurance claim, to quoting and repairing the roof with high quality replacement shingles. We were extremely happy with the quality of everyone's work and approach, from the field representatives to the office staff to the roofing installation crew. I hope we don't encounter another calamity like the storm that introduced us to Cedar Valley Exteriors, but I also wouldn't hesitate to seek them out for exterior improvement projects in the future.
