I am new with wood shakes roofs. Did not know anything about this type of roofs. I trusted the salesperson, owner or I do not know what's his position in this company to do the right work on the roof back in August this year.
Some time after they came in to do the treatment and repairs, I eye inspected the roof and saw nails half way out, shakes lifted, and moss growing when these things were supposed to being taking care of. I texted the same person that did the contract with me to let him know my concerns on October 19, 2023 and since then I have not receive a response.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND Cedar Preservation Specialists to anyone.

I would highly recommend CPS. They were easy to communicate with and the work was excellent. We had washed our windows ahead of their work, so they worked with us and took great care in making sure they were protected, which was much appreciated. Great attention to detail! They will be the folks we use the next time we do our roof cleaning/repairs.

We used this company to restore our aging cedar shake roof. The crew was extremely professional, cleaned the roof and prepped it for the treatment spray, which ended up looking like a whole new roof! They also found damaged shakes and replaced as needed. I will use this company again!

Worked with them for our cedar shake roof maintenance. Quality work - completed meticulously over a longer period of time than initially planned due to weather. Work was performed with care and quality. Three different crews came - all of them were professional, worked hard and help keep things moving on the project. Charlie was very professional and clear about what was being done. After finishing the crew washed windows and cleaned all the gutters (!) - very impressed with their commitment to doing a complete and a thorough job! Highly recommend them.

Working with CPS was the best experience I have had with a contractor in years. They did not use silly hard sales tactics, they did the job for what they quoted and they even quickly came back to service what turned out to be an issue that was not due to them. I will definitely use them again when my shakes need to be cleaned and protected again.

CPS came out and preserved our cedar roof, and did a fair job. We asked them to caulk our chimney which was leaking, and they said they do not do that kind of work. I do not believe this company is a real roofing company. I learned from another roofer that unless the people repairing your cedar roof know how to install them it's best you don't hire them.
