Roy and Tanner came to my aid recently when I had a kitchen cabinet about to fall off my wall. Tanner knew what to do and who to call to get the job done efficiently. He helped with a few tasks too while we waited for the cabinet to be reinstalled. I would not hesitate to call him again.

I have worked with Roy and his team in the past. My homes siding project was approved by the insurance company with the help of Roy and his team. 12 years later it is still in beautiful condition. I strongly recommend and endorse Roy and C&E Wurzer Construction.

They came around my neighborhood dropping off information on home repair services, but especially wanting to inspect the roof for hail damage, fine. A few days later, after a hard rain, we noticed some leaking around the windows and thought, ok let's call Wurzer. They did not return my call, but ended up just showing up a couple days later, ok. They looked at the windows briefy and said they would contact their other department to follow up with us on window repair. No callback. Seems like they only want the roof work from hail damage.

From start to finish great experience. They kept in touch, updates, and after completion stopped by to see if I was satisfied or had any concerns or questions. The installers were quick, efficient and cleaned up thoroughly! Would recommend

I recently had my roof replaced by C&E Wurzer Construction, and I am very pleased with the results. Dima was very professional, answered all of my questions, and communicated with me throughout the entire process. I am very happy with the quality of their work, and my new roof looks great. I highly recommend C&E to anyone in need of roofing services. They did a wonderful job, and I will definitely call them for any future projects.

Got my roof replaced. Mike and Brogan did a great job explaining everything that needed to be done and how they would do it. Great guys. About a week after meeting with them I had a crew out ripping off the old roof and the putting on the new. The crew was clean and fast. It was a pretty windy day, but they made sure to pick up ALL the debris and garbage that comes with a roof replacement. I didn't find 1 nail laying around after they left. Mike and Brogan followed up the next day or two to make sure everything went as expected. Great experience all around.
Crew will be coming back out to do some aluminum work around my windows and I expect the same experience.

I knew that I would be needing a new roof in the coming year or two as it was a topic at the time of purchase a couple years back.

Nate from Wurzer Construction stopped by, quickly and efficiently explained his trade, and being a sales guy myself and knowing what to look for, delivered his pitch with perfection and honesty. In retrospect, I was lucky it was Nate and not some of the other companies I'm now hearing all about, as I easily could have been taken for a chump in this realm.

Nate looked at my roof and found wind and hail damage, not just an old roof. He showed me the photos and ordered a storm history for my address. He recommended I call my insurance company before I wasted time getting estimates.

In speaking with my agent, he cautioned me a bit on these companies however said if i was comfortable there was no reason to not to proceed.

Hired Nate and his team, met w/ him and the adjuster. The two of them went back and forth a bit before agreeing the roof needed replaced. Nate made sure the adjuster covered everything that was needed in order to meet current building codes, right down to the cost of the permit. I didn’t worry about any of this.

From there, I didn't lift a finger. His crew showed up, knocked it out in a day, not a single nail left behind, and was just a picture perfect experience.

I’m THOROUGHLY impressed with their whole process start to finish. Saved me $10K, time and hassle of arguing, and I got my old 3 tab shingles replaced with modern lifetime shingles.

Nathan Marum (Nate), Superintendent from C&E Wurzer Construction, Inc. did a great job replacing my roof and gutters. I live in northwest suburbs of Chicago. Last September, a hailstorm came through and damaged my roof and gutters. I had no idea there was damage. Nate was in the area and explained I might have some damage on my roof. After inspecting the roof and gutter, he said there was damage and the roof should be covered by our insurer (State Farm). He explained he would help me with the process from start to finish. And he sure did. He explained the process. I contacted my insurance company and they sent an adjuster to inspect the damage. Nate showed up about an hour before the adjuster arrived and went up on the roof to mark all the damage with chalk so when the adjuster arrived, he could show him all the areas that were damaged. They were up on the roof for over an hour inspecting the roof and the gutters. They both agreed the roof and gutters were damaged and they will be replaced.

Nate followed up from the very beginning. He provided samples. When we did not like the colors, he took us to his supplier to look at more samples until we found the color we liked. He kept us informed every step of the way including when the materials were arriving, when the roofers were going to show up, when the clean-up crew would start, the date the gutters were going to be installed, etc. During the installation, he was onsite every day, checking in.

Nate made sure we were happy with the job and continued to follow up. I truly believe if it was not for Nate, we would not have had our roof and gutters replaced. The way he worked with the adjuster clearly made it happen. I know several of my neighbors did not get their roofs approved. The main reason was their roofing companies were not present when the insurance adjuster inspected their roof. No one was with them to show the damage they saw.

I have referred Nate to several other neighbors, and they received the same service and results as I just described above. NATE IS A TRUE PROFESSIONAL AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM!

CE Wurzer approached me for roof replacement following a hail storm that ripped through my neighborhood. A ton of other roofing companies knocked on our door, however the guys from Wurzer were great. The entire process was easy and straightforward as they handled the claim process and worked with my insurance. We ended up replacing the roof and the gutters it looks great. I would certainly do business with them again!

Highly recommend! Nate was the point man on replacing our roof after the September 9th storm. He was super responsive, kept me in the loop during the entire process, made sure our property was clean and nail-free after, and ensured all the work was done properly. Thanks, Werzer!!

They bill the insurance company (only)! For items that they do NOT do. We had to get brake down from insurance company because they would NOT give us a receipt. They messed up our gutters really bad and then offered to do a quick fix knowing it will not last? We paid for new ones, but because it will cost them to much to replace their mistake, they want to patch the work and hope it last? they show up when they want (usually at dinner time) with no warning. They billed for other things and when my husband called them out on them ,they said :oh that was not done and offered a credit? On 1 big thing like the flashing of the roof, they again offered a credit BUT then wanted me to sign a waver to say it now not warranty? All Because we caught there mistake? We just wanted the work done and they start yelling and demanding us to call! Be careful if you use and if you did, get the work rechecked. Wish i would have checked reviews before we used them!

Wurzer is a bunch of smooth talking, lip service that robs people and the average home owner does not know it. They bill the insurance company for certain items like chimney wraps, Flu caps and all parts, labor and tax. And then the work unknown to the average home owner is never done, but they keep the money because the home owner does not read every line item in the insurance claim, trust these people word and don't know how to make sure they got everything promised. I know this because I am a well informed customer and a contractor!! We have a bill they refuse to adjust accordingly and two repairs for work not done correctly. They have been verbally "promising" to resolve it for the past 3 weeks!!! Yes the finished product looks good, but their job site and customer communication skills are NONE existent! The same goes for if you have a problem with work repairs needed. Yet they "claim" otherwise. Not in our case and many others. Please read some of the other bad reviews. We should have never trusted them and will not pay for service's not given! We are still waiting on the warranty they promised from the start. They told us they will e mail it once the final bill is paid. ???? No that is not the way it works! You go buy something, you get a receipt and warranty right then. Not e mailed! BEWARE PEOPLE!!!

They installed a roof on my two story home in 2015. When the tornado went through Rockford, all of my neighbors had to replace their roofs. I did not have to. One of my neighbors had over a 100 shingles from her roof in my pool. I lost no shingles.

Wurzer did and excellent job of replacing my roof. They met with the insurance adjuster and was able to get my roof replaced due to the recent storm in the area. They were on time and did complete the job as agreed. I would highly recommend them.

Really impressed with the C&E management team. Our project ran into a number of issues and the team, specifically Mercedes and Erik, resolved everything promptly and incredibly professionally. Obviously a company that wants to do right by its customers.

I wanted to work with Wurzer but, in the end, their lack of customer service left me looking elsewhere.

I called Wurzer after receiving a flyer from them in my neighborhood. The agent who came out (Joe F.) seemed extremely knowledgeable and said all the right things. I knew getting my hail-damaged roof replaced through my insurance company was a long shot because of the age of the roof, but Joe assured me they would try their best. He inspected my roof and submitted the information to my insurance company. It was no surprise that the claim was denied, and Joe assured me that this was all "part of the process." He would continue to resubmit claims, showing additional damage to the roof with each new claim, and hopefully get my insurance to cover at least part of the repairs.

The problem is, Joe followed up only once, after I called him following the first denial. And after a couple months of waiting for a reply from my insurance regarding the second claim submission, I contacted Joe again. He told me he would get in touch with my insurance company to try to get some details on the hold-up of a response. He said I would get a call back from him "later today or tomorrow."

That was 5 months ago. I understood from the beginning that the process would be a struggle and would very likely not go the way I hoped.

But give me the common courtesy of a phone call.

Very disappointed with the level of service this company provided. A different "storm chaser" company filled a claim for roof damage on our behalf, sadly it was denied. A rep (or possibly even the owner or part owner...etc.) from this company showed up at our door asking to do a "free estimate" I explained to him that we had already gone through with a claim and it was denied. He stated that he just because it was denied it doesn't mean that's the final say, I allowed him to inspect our roof and he came back and said there is definitely enough to appeal and he was going to bat for us and try to get it approved if we signed the paperwork. I did and that was the last time I ever heard from this company again without my effort to chase them down and get info! I tried to get ahold of someone a few times having left voicemails, finally after several weeks and a couple voicemails I left, I finally got a call back stating that they were still trying to get the claim approved. Waited several weeks for some sort of communication and got nothing. I finally gave up hope. Several months later I went to my insurance agent's office for some other insurance related questions, I inquired about the roof claim and why it was denied. I was told that it was NOT denied and that some repairs were were noted as needed actually, and those were approved but it was under my deductible. My complaint with this company is that because the whole roof replacement was not approved (which is what they wanted to score as a job) they didn't take ownership and NEVER NOTIFIED US OF THE DAMAGE AND WHERE OUR ROOF NEEDED AT LEAST SOME REPAIRS at the very least! They basically didn't look out for our best intrest and just walked away when they didn't get a full contract approved. Although the lack of communication isn't solely with this company on this experience (the first company that submitted the claim (which isn't listed on google), and my insurance agent are just as responsible), they are definitely accountable for the lack of horrible communication.

The company did a great job with replacing our roof, and getting it all done in one day was great. We are very pleased with C&E Wurzer Construction.

Had an excellent experience with C&E. Worked with Logan over the course of a few months as we had difficulty with our insurance company. Scheduling a specific date was hard due to the large number of homes they were working on, but if you are flexible, they will call at random if a cancellation opens something up. Worked out great for us since we were out of town, and the work was done when we arrived home, which was fantastic since we had a baby and two small dogs who would have been driven nuts while everything was going on.

Logan has never not answered his phone or returned texts immediately, and we still chat when we see each other around the area - great guy who helped give us a painless roofing experience. Highly recommend all involved - the home looks great!

I would absolutely NOT recommend C&E Wurzer. In hind sight their tactics seemed predatory. They are scammers and dishonest.

They were scouting our neighborhood one afternoon offering a free roof inspection and asked if I was the owner of this home on a date that a hail storm occurred. I was the owner and agreed to the inspection. They found some hail damage and helped me file the claim over the phone with my insurance company. They wanted this job and offered to cut my deductible in half. Little did I know that they cannot do that, it is insurance fraud. A couple weeks later the insurance adjuster with a C&E Wurzer employee inspected the roof. About a week or so later (not 100% sure) my claim was approved and C&E Wurzer kept bothering us, wanting to schedule the roof and gutter job. They also told me that since I had contract (my mistake for signing) I could not use another roofer. My wife and I were not ready to commit to paying the deductible and wanted to wait. I don't understand why they kept showing up at my house unannounced, may times during dinner. Also, they have no person or people in an office that can answer your questions.

After the winter pasted we set a date for the roof and gutter replacement (so I thought). On the scheduled day the roofers showed up, knocked on the door to let us know they were starting. About 8 hours later the job was done. The roof looked good and they clean the mess in the yard, included any nails that had fallen unto the ground. When the job was almost done C&E Wurzer employee showed up. I was expecting to pay the deductible, however, the job was not complete. They did not do the gutters. I asked when they were replacing the gutters. I didn't get a good answer, only "a few weeks, we'll call you". What the HECK!! So I still had my deductible. Three months later out of the blue, totally unannounced a crew shows up and stars working on my gutters. They didn't even knock on the door. They just started ripping off my gutters. I was thinking to myself, great this will be done today. I was wrong, the crew removed the gutters and after one hour they were gone. They left the same way they came, unannounced. I went outside to look at the work and was shocked to see my house had no gutters. Again, I said what the HECK!! Called C&E Wurzer and left a message with someone in the office who merely relays messages. A few days later I get a call and they apologized. Saying they have crews that do certain tasks. From the very beginning I thought this entire process would be done in one day. I was never told that the roof and gutters would be replaced on three separate days.

In the end the work was done by what appears to be contract workers that C&E Wurzer uses to do these types of jobs. I really had no problem with the workers, they worked the tails off and did a good job. What I found troubling is the company tactics and showing up at your house announced often. Coming by my house to pickup a payment/check is very odd. Why was I not sent through the mail a physical piece of paper with a statement on company letter head. I never got a bill of completion and a statement for the warranty. They agreed to discount on my deductible, but that was a bunch of bologna! That is insurance fraud! They were going to try to get the discount from the insurance company. This is a major red flag. Watch out for these guys, they will make promises and not keep them.

Seth and Johnny came at the scheduled time to inspect our roof for a possible leak. Seth installed the roof about 4 years ago. We had noticed a damp spot in one of our rooms and called the Gurnee office. Seth called to schedule a time to check it out. They checked the roof and then went into the attic. They found a small leak from the plumbing stack that was causing the problem. They kindly recommended us to call a plumber. We are very satisfied and appreciative of the customer focused timely service. Margaret and Graham Knott

It only took them 1 day to fix our roof and another day to fix the gutters, but the insurance part took 18 months of inspecting, estimating and negotiating and we almost never had to do anything! CE Wurzer was there from beginning to end! Special mention to Keith who was very responsive to our needs (aside from dealing with the insurance, I asked him one time to have a couple of tiles checked a few weeks after installation and right there and then he took his ladder, climbed the roof in his office clothes and fixed the said tiles).
We are most grateful to Seth who was our advocate throughout the process, he made countless trips to our house at our convenience, received numerous texts and emails from us, and he made sure we got all the coverage that we deserve from our insurance company and ensured that we received everything that his company promised to us and nothing less.

Keith and C & E helped us with our hail damage and everything went smoothly! The subcontractors did an excellent job and cleaned everything up well. Keith did a great job working with our insurance company and made sure they added items that they were supposed to cover, but did not put in the estimate. The mortgage company escrowed my payments from the insurance company and they write the check to me and C& E, Keith made sure I got my part of the money to pay for the items I was taking care of myself. There were a lot of homes damaged in our area so they had to balance a lot of projects all at once. We are happy with the quality and speed of the entire process. We definitely recommend C & E!

Recently had my roof replaced due to hail damage. I am very picky when choosing contractors especially for such a large job. Mike was very helpful answering all of my questions (and there were a lot since this was an insurance claim) and was always available. C&E did a great job, the new roof looks great and I am very happy with the overall experience.

I would definitely NOT recommend C&E Wurzer. They overcommit and under deliver. Contracted C&E Wurzer after hailstorm damage. C&E cannot maintain a schedule. One week of work has taken over 5 months! C&E Wurzer does not have enough in-house resources and must contract out work. They also caused damage to exterior AND interior that they are now refusing to repair. We wrote to try to finalize their work. Michael, a manager, called YELLING about our “demands”! As he was out-of-control, we requested to have his supervisor contact us and we emailed our representative, Logan. We have not heard ANYTHING. Another week of our time just wasted.

Update October 27th, 2018. Since my initial review C&E Wurzer has apologized for how we were treated, is working to repair the damage to our house and complete the agreed upon work. All work is scheduled to be completed by November 3rd. At this time I am confident that they will finish the job to our satisfaction.

Could not have asked for better service. Workmanship is top notch. I also took comfort in knowing that I chose local company.
