Customer feedback for Cascade Roofing reveals a mixed sentiment. While many reviews laud the company's professionalism, efficiency, and quality of work, a significant number highlight issues with customer service and communication. Some customers reported unhelpful and rude interactions, particularly when seeking assistance or estimates. Had a experience recently with one of their employees, he was extremely rude, vulgar, conceited and downrate in polite.
I am a fellow trades worker and I would never recommend this company do to this type of employee. Skinny white guy with long red hair. This type of employee just makes the entire company look extremely bad. I will never recommend these guys again.

Came to Cascade today to try and start the process of getting a new metal roof. I was told they are "not taking on any new metal roofing jobs right now". Fine is there a possibility that I can start the process and at least get a quote for the future as I am not in a rush for the roof. "No I'm sorry we are too busy". Ok.....well can someone answer just a couple of questions for me? "No I'm sorry we are too busy" save your money and energy and go somewhere else where they are more concerned about a potential future customers experience. The woman that greeted me should have at least tried to seem like she cared. Sometimes a business just gets too big. I feel this might be one of those companys. Stay away

Edit: in response to your response I will say that it what I wrote is exactly what happened. You trying to change what happened is comical. I don't think any business should have to do business with anyone they don't want to or are not able to. The fact of the matter is that (in my opinion) your employees should be more concerned with how they represent your company and at least attempting to send me in the right direction or trying to answer some questions would have given me an entirely different perspective of your company. Enjoy

My heart swells with gratitude towards Dan Henrotte, owner of Cascade Roofing who showed me that there is no job "too small" when you have a large heart of generous spirit as his, and integrity in his profession so rare to find. Thankyou, Dan

I had roof damage from our wind storm in February, and lost some shingles. I couldn't get any other companies to call me back for such a small job. But then I found Cascade and they came out and patched it for me for an extremely reasonable price! I really appreciate them doing such a small project. I will be using them again when I eventually replace my roof.

Called Cascade at 8 a.m. as a ceiling vent fan was suddenly leaking when it rained. Told their fee was $200 for an urgent call out plus any materials etc.

Crew of two arrived before noon, located that the leak was from above the ceiling fan from incorrect installation of a different roof vent right above - it was only nailed on and water was dripping from a nail.

The guys then replaced all the other roof vent nails with screws and sealant.

Total cost was only 75% off the call out fee.

Pretty impressive Cascade thanks.

I give no stars as I sent an email (Which I still have) on May 24, 2017 for an estimate on our deck and railings. I included my husband, as they would be dealing with him. They called him back (Very quickly) and made an appointment for 30 days later as they were very busy, no problem, totally understandable. Well... here we are 3 months later with NO contact. My husband even called 15 days later, after our 30 day wait, and left a message to confirm...no call back, nothing. With pure arrogance like this, my husband and I really do not recommend the rudeness from this company. Please take into consideration, my husband has been in the construction industry for over 30 years and has NEVER dealt with crappy service such as this.

The owner of this company is rude and racist.

A truck with the company logo was closely tailgating me on Highway 1 near Langley, the truck may have only been 3-5 feet behind my car, after I passed the semi-trucks I was driving by and letting him pass me I called the Cascade Roofing office to let them know about the rude behaviour of their driver. They took my name and number.

I received a call back about an hour later, I explained the situation to the person on the phone. They asked me if there was a line up cars behind their driver I told them there wasn't. The person on the phone then told me that next time I should change lanes sooner to avoid this. I then told the person on the phone that this wasn't an appropriate response and that they need to speak to their employee. The not-so-gentle man on the phone then tells me that it wasn't their employee but rather himself who was driving, the owner of the company.

I told him that he should learn some lessons from this and not drive like that. He then asked me if I even had a license from Canada. He tried to blame me for his bad driving.

I was born and raised in Canada, the owner is ignorant, racist and rude.

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
