Our complex had this outfit replace the roof on every unit 12 years ago. The quality of workmanship was substandard. They shingled over what should have been a bathroom vent in our unit and numerous units experienced roof leaks in the ensuing years. We are now having to replace the roofs again as the installed roof had a life of 12 years. The 59 owners in our strata complex would not recommend this company at any cost.

We needed a quick roof repair and Chilliwack Roofing was able to come out on short notice and do a fantastic job. Thanks for the excellent work!

The workers that came to our home were great. Dave, keeping me informed on what needed to be done and keeping me in the loop as jobs were completed. The disappointing customer service experience with Chilliwack Roofing was exemplified by the frustration and inconvenience we faced when attempting to schedule warranty work. Despite three attempts to contact the company via email, which went unanswered, it was only after my wife managed to reach them that we were able to initiate the process. Subsequently, we arranged a date for our roof inspection, clearing our schedules and booking off an entire day of work to accommodate the four-hour window provided. However, the company failed to uphold their end of the agreement, as no one showed up within the allocated time frame. After waiting for an hour beyond the scheduled window, I was forced to take matters into my own hands and contact the company to inquire about the situation. The frustration of being left in the dark with no communication or explanation for the no-show added insult to injury, highlighting a lack of accountability and disregard for customer time and inconvenience.

We were fortunate enough to get a phone call from the person who was supposed to come check out the roof approximately 3 after outside our time frame. I dont feel it is the drivers responsibility completely as they explained that some things had come up out of their control, but ultimately, it should have been the responsibility of their dispatch team to inform me promptly of any delays or changes to the scheduled appointment. However, the lack of communication from their end compounded the frustration of the situation, leaving us feeling neglected and undervalued as customers. Unfortunatly we will be taking our business somewhere else as this was unacceptable in my opinion.

A great company to deal with. The office staff answered all my questions in a timely manner and the crew appeared to be efficient, polite and accommodating. This was my third roof replacement and it was definitely the best experience of the three.

Needed a small repair after wind storm, they arrived that afternoon to look at it and it was completed the next week. Excellent service.

Every level of this company was a negative experience. I have full documentation of the events. The original contract was to replace 6000 screws on my barn roof, what they recommended to resolve the leaks. Took a year for "job completion" and when after the summer drought we received rain my roof still leaked in multiple places. Their response was since it was not a new roof they give no guarantee.
The sequence of events. Estimator came, climbed on the roof (using my ladder), we discussed the caulking on the screws and I was told 'it is not a problem' Quote given and confirmed even re-confirmed accuracy of quote before starting. Office did not request deposit so the guys did not show. I called and they then sent the deposit request and apologized, deposit that was immediately sent.
Sept 1 guys show up at 8, sat in truck until 9 left at 1 saying they needed screws and had a dentist appointment.
Sept 2 showed up at 8, sat in truck until 9 left at 1 saying they had been given the wrong screws. BTW temperature was 20 C perfect roofing weather
Sept 2 a new quote was sent 81% higher than the first and saying there was 10,000 screws, a count that was later corrected there is actually 7,290. Although I requested to discuss with the workers and we had a contract for 6000 screws that was incomplete I was told "Without your approval we will not be on-site Tuesday"
Under duress I agreed.
Typical day
Sept 6
2 men arrive at 8, sit in truck until 9
10AM break, sit in truck until 10:46, 1 guys goes on roof with blower
10:52 Dan exits truck and does magnet clean up.
11:10 one guy starts to do screws, 11:13 Dan joins
11:40 both off roof, lunch break
12:53 return to roof
2:10 off roof and leave
The workers did not replace all the screws.
There were many scheduled and cancelled dates due to weather and smoke.
Oct 6 I was told they were coming to finish the roof in the afternoon and I pointed out that the hours/amount they were working there was no way the 1/3rd that was left would get complete in that time.
Roof left unfinished for the winter with a safety line left on the roof.
Met with new person, requested new crew, still hopeful, what a mistake.
To cut a long story short, was billed incorrect amount, bill reissued and paid IN FULL and one month after being paid received a called by a collection company. Poor person got blasted.
Oct 23 2023 notified them of leaking roof.
Oct 26 followed up
Oct 27 response received, 'Chilliwack Roofing LTD’’s recommendations for repairs are provided to the owner without any warranty being offered'
Nov 30 gutter overflow, flooded shed below causing damage. Hired someone to check gutters, a wad of roofing material was stuffed into the downspout. See pictures for leaks.
I suspect the wrong, small screws were never returned but used.
If I can save one other person from such a negative experience the time spent writing this review is worth it. If I could do a -5 rating it would be more accurate.
Some companies stay in business in spite of themselves.

Everything about the process was super easy and the work was done very well for a very reasonable price. I have no complaints with any part of the process. Everyone involved was super personable and very efficient. 5 stars.

Took over a week to get a quote. Another two to hear back and schedule something. Day of, they cancel on us. Second day, no response. They didn’t reply to our phone call or email. If you don’t want the business, just say so and we’ll move onto a company that does.

I highly recommend these guys. They were prompt, professional, and friendly. They kept us well-informed at every step along the way of the issues with our roof, so there were no surprises. They cleaned up after themselves, even some of the things they didn't have to. I would call on them again, though I hope I don't have to and, given the great job they did, I won't need to in the remaining lifetime of our roof.

Our roof was damaged from a neighborhood fire, Chilliwack Roofing did a great job repairing it! It's hard working in the rainy season but these guys made it work, especially working as late as they had to in the dark, rain and cold weather!
