I was caught in a nightmare of a remodeling project with unreliable workmen. Nick and his crew at Carroll County Construction saved the day. At short notice, Nick fit our project into his busy schedule. The various workmen were timely and professional. Their work is excellent with a true attention to quality and to details. I could not recommend them more highly.

Carroll County Construction built a beautiful house for our family on Lake Winnipesaukee. The whole experience, from beginning to end, was thoroughly enjoyable. Nick and Christina are an amazing team, as well as being brother and sister. Nick is the General Contractor and Christina does all of the books. Nick has extensive knowledge of every aspect of construction, and while he is a perfectionist in his attention to detail and organization, he is also personable, communicative and very easy to work with.

Nick has assembled a team of excellent craftsman and every portion of the house is expertly and beautifully constructed. The framing of the walls was so perfectly done that I often said I almost hated to put up the shiplap because it covered the framing, which was a work of art. Every tradesman who worked on our house was equally skilled. Nick not only knows how to build a house he gave us excellent advice on some aspects of design. He had suggestions for ways to change both the interior stairs and some exterior stairs that improved the use of the stairs, added usable space, and cut costs.

Christina is also a powerhouse. She is as organized as her brother with the same attention to detail. Christina provided me with a weekly breakdown of all of our expenses—what we’d budgeted, how much we’d spent, and what we had left to do. They are both scrupulously honest and transparent in all of their dealings. They showed me the bills from each of the subs and they never padded those bills. They always billed me what the subs billed them. They billed their fee clearly and separately from the other bills.

Nick and Christina are a joy to work with, and the house that they built our family is beautifully and masterfully constructed in every detail. I recommend them whole- heartedly and without any reservation.

From job site visits with Nick to triple check over all our orders, to working with Christina in the office to finalize everything. Carroll County Construction did an amazing job re-siding and re-roofing our home. Nick and Christina were extremely helpful to us with choosing the right shakes and shingles, as well as, the perfect color combination. They made helpful suggestions as the project moved along, such as type and width of trim boards, etc. which enhanced the entire job.

Nick and Christina were very professional to work with and, at the same time, very friendly and kind. They kept us up to date on work schedules, and when each portion of the job would be completed. Their construction crew were kind, courteous and always on time. After the job was completed the clean-up was impressive, still not a nail to be found.

I still can’t believe how great the house looks, two years later, every time I pull into the driveway.

We first hired Nick to repair numerous mistakes that our original builder had made and, because we were so happy, had him build 2 other outbuildings on our property. Nick's prices are fair and reasonable; he does NOT raise prices mid-project; he expects his crew to be on time and respectful; and Nick knows the building codes very well and does not try to cut corners.
