Cardinal Exteriors and Roofing did a fantastic job with our house after the May 2023 hail storm in Allen. Our house needed several repairs including a new roof, window screens and trim, painting and siding repair, fence staining, and even some interior wall work where we had slight water damage. Cardinal also upgraded one of my vents to a solar powered fan vent. Since Cardinal does all types of interior and exterior work, it was easy to just deal with one point of contact.

Many of our neighbors had used Cardinal and were completely satisfied so we decided to go with Caradinal. Omar is a local Allen resident and the business owner who was involved every step of the way. He kept in constant contact during every part of the process. He sent us pictures of all of the damage, personally came to the insturance adjuster meeting, laid out a contract of work in detail and then executed on that contract. There were no surprises and money changed hands at designated times - the first being after a percentage of the work had been completed giving us peace of mind (I've had a friend get scammed by paying up front and not getting the roofing done). The end result of Cardinal's work was excellent.

I intend to price future work including an upcoming kitchen remodel with Cardinal and Omar.

I just wanted to share my experience with Cardinal Roofing. Omar and his team did our roof and fence after the hail storm last May of this year. They helped negotiate with the insurance company, did a fantastic job on power washing and restaining our fence (it looks brand-new), replacing our roof and screens, and helping with a few other things. He was very easy to work with. He is local and quick to respond to any and all questions. Transparent in all work and costs. Easy to schedule so we could be there when it was done.

The hailstorm did significant damage to our roof, gutters and garage, as well as a lot of our backyard furniture. Being the typical, “your home just got pummeled” rookies, it was very intimidating how many roofers came by, many were pushy and aggressive. That wasn’t the case at all with Cardinal roofing team!!!

Omar and his team were exceptionally professional. What we appreciated the most, was that they took a lot of time educating us on the general process, laid out clear timeframes and expectations. No surprises. The team worked with our insurance and helped negotiate on our behalf, which wasn’t even something I knew we could do. Omar and his crew have helped us with multiple repairs around our house and all of our experiences have been exceptional. He is honest, respectful, hard working and dependable. He made roof repairs before we had to get our roof replaced and then he replaced our roof in an extremely timely manner so we could get our solar panels installed before the end of the year. Very professional! I had a leak from the exterior (flashing issue) causing some damage to the interior window seat and dry wall. Omar came out with one of his guys and gave a reasonable quote. First I’d like to say Omar Herrera has been the best contract manager I’ve ever worked with he walked me through every aspect of getting my roof repaired and also showed up on time every time. He works very well with the insurance company with very little effort on my part. His crew started on time and did an excellent job. The cleanup afterwords was fantastic they covered everything so very little debris was there to pick up, they ran magnets over the yard to pick up any loose nails. Then after job was totally complete Omar pointed out everything they had done to verify I was satisfied and his crew stood by to make sure that I was. You couldn’t find a better contractor and I highly recommend this one.

Cardinal Roofing and Exteriors did a great job. We were knocking a hole in a wall and adding a few new windows. I recommend Cardinal 100%. I had many bad experiences before, so I took a risk and follow the Google reviews and took a chance with this company. I couldn't be more glad I did. We did fence, windows, painting and gutters. Excellent job, and better customer service. We had some challenges since everything is slower with covid, and we encounter some problems with the wood for the fence because it started cracking, but they took care of the problem with no complaints, and my fence looks beautiful. They really worked hard to please the customer. Omar had excellent and continuous communication with us, he came to check on the job and made sure we liked everything. I'll be doing the rest of my home remodeling with them for sure.

We just had our roof replaced as well as some other hail damage repaired. We are so happy with the high quality of professionalism and quality of Cardinals team. We have been kept up to date with everything that is happening and Omar made sure that everything was going according to schedule and made sure we understood what the plan was. Omar Herrera, the owner of Cardinal Roofing, did an outstanding job on my home that far exceeded my expectations. Two years ago I went with a larger and more well know roofing company in the DFW area. For reasons not worth mentioning here I was left unsatisfied. Omar had performed a roofing job for some family members two years ago and they were highly impressed as was I, so for this most recent hail storm in March of 2019 I decided to give Omar a shot. That was a great decision as Omar’s attention to detail was unparalleled, and he treated it as if it was his own home. Below are some of the reasons I was left highly satisfied and a lifetime customer of his:

- He used a team that was highly trusted and with whom he had a mutual respect. Omar did not want to let me down, and they clearly did not want to let him down.
- They did not cut corners and used high quality products that we had discussed and the high quality crew completed the work quickly, efficiently, and according to the scope we had originally discussed.
- They covered my entire pool with tarp to protect it, but still took the time to attach a magnet to a string and run it along pool bottom to check for errant nails.
- Omar and his financial team were extremely efficient as far as utilizing funds from the insurance company in that the progress of the project was not delayed for things such as having to wait for supplements from the insurance and whatnot which is very common in this industry. Additionally, he threw in EXTRA jobs that I didn’t even expect, such as painting my garage or the top of my AC vent.
- The painter was also thorough and upon starting to paint the fence, I realized I wanted to change colors because it didn’t come out as I expected. So not only did Omar have them get a different paint color, but didn’t charge me for it nor the labor required to redo it. And they painted the wooden border around my flower bed to match the fence as well, which again was not required of them but they did it because they care about doing a good job.
- Omar, the owner, visited frequently and took pictures of the roof and other work that was under completion so I could get updates even when I was not at home.

I am probably missing some other details, but Omar’s care for doing a job to perfection will simply leave one referring Cardinal Roofing to everyone.

He really made it pretty easy for me as he was the one dealing with the insurance company and not just coordinating the contractors to get the job done. He always stayed in touch throughout the time I had contractors working in my house to make sure we all stayed on track and that the expectations were right. I wanted to really wait for things to settle before I reviewed his work, and I can honestly say that I fully recommend him.
