Worst experience ever.
We were approached by a storm chaser Katie for free inspection. The free inspection turned into constant calls to get the insurance documents sent to her. She kept harassing my wife with calls and texts to get her to sign a document where she didn’t even write my wife’s name right.
Finally we told her we don’t want to go with her.

Her manager Wes Adams called us and asked to meet with us and fix the relationship. We met with him and decided to give him the job.
He promised full communication and responses.
We explained to him and told him that we don’t need any machines on the grass.

On the delivery day, the forklift was running on the grass leaving marks and this was after a couple of rainy days, so now the grass is all messed up.
I called Wes and told him but he didn’t even bother to call me back and check.

We got a text from Abby the production manager with the install schedule.

The crew showed up on the scheduled day and finished the install the same day.

After inspection, I found that the fascia was cut in a weird way which was not normal. Why would they cut the fascia when they are installing the roof. The side piece of the roof that is supposed to be overlapping on the fascia is 1 inch away from the fascia leaving a gap where the water can go inside the walls. On the garage roof they cut the shingles in a weird way leaving a big gap between the garage and the house.

The crew supervisor was Ronan, I kept calling him and texting him but no answer. Then he told me he doesn’t work with cardinal contractors anymore.

I called Wes multiple times but no answer.
But when my wife send him a text, he calls me.
May be because of my name. “Discrimination”

I tried calling Abby but every time I call the office they tell me she was on vacation when Wes Adams made it clear that she was telling him the rain is not going to do damage the walls and they will think about a solution when they have time.

Every time I call the office I get empty promises and today I was told that their crews are busy and they can’t get someone to fix the issues that they left at my house.

They will rush to get your job and get your money but to fix an issue they will throw you in the trash and won’t even care about you.

If I can give lower than one star I would.
Even the one star is too much for them.

I do not recommend this company at all.

I am sick of this company knocking on my door! Four times now they are bothering me.

The one time I did talk to one of them it's because he flagged me down as I was backing out of my garage in my car. I had to tell him I'm not interested numerous times to get him to leave me alone. I had to leave to be somewhere!

If I have a roof problem, I'll call someone, and it won't be Cardinal because apparently they are just desperate for my money. MY ROOF IS FINE!

I will never use one of these door-knocker companies and I suggest you don't either.

I can't say enough great things about my experience with Cardinal Contractors. After a strong hailstorm swept through our neighborhood, I noticed several shingles missing and granules piling up in my gutters. I was worried about further water damage and wasn’t sure where to turn. A neighbor had recently worked with Alan, the owner of Cardinal Contractors, and gave me his number.

Hi will not recommend this company to anyone they did my roof about two years ago I had some roof damage from the storm they said they would come out and look at it they never showed up I took time off of work to meet with someone from this company they said they would be here at 1 pm today I called the lady I spoke to said she would have someone contact me and they never did and they never showed up either

Called Cardinal to get a roof quote after high winds blew off some shingles. They advised us to make an insurance claim because they believe State Farm would approve a roof replacement. We were hesitant, knowing we have a high deductible and the extent of damage seemed unlikely to exceed it. They said "there's no harm if you don't take the payout from the insurance company". As it turns out, this was completely WRONG. By putting through the claim, it cost us our "no claim" discount, which equals about $600 per year. So in addition to the claim being denied for the roof repair/replacement, we're out of pock $600 a year for the next several years. Beware of the sales pitch!

Thank goodness Austin knocked on our door after the storm 3/14/2025 as our roof was a mess from hail damage. Not sure where we would have landed with a company and so relieved that we connected with Austin and Cardinal Contractors! Our new roof is up and looks amazing. This job went off like a fine oiled machine, not one glitch ever at any point from signing contract, explanations after a million questions we had and the roofers showing up at 6:00am ready to work all day while finishing right after dark. We have an almost 5000 sq ft home and they worked non stop all day! KUDOS to Austin, all the roofers and Cole. Company is lucky to have them on their team! Don’t hesitate to hire this team, they are amazing! We had to replace a roof after a hurricane while living in Florida and it was a nightmare! Now we know how it is suppose to go down!! Thank again!

A few weeks after a hailstorm, I noticed several neighbors getting their damaged roofs replaced. I got in touch with Cardinal through a neighbor whose roof was also replaced. A representative from Cardinal inspected my roof using a drone and said there was significant damage. He helped me file an insurance claim and promised to be present during the inspection with city personnel. I provided all the necessary information, but no one from Cardinal showed up for the inspection. The insurance company found no visible damage and closed the claim.

We worked with Matt Ringdahl. I can’t recommend him enough. He answered all of our questions and was very informative. Our roof was installed extremely fast and looks great !!

We worked with Matt from Cardinal Contractors. Any questions we had were answered quickly. Once we were under contract our roof was on in 2.5 weeks. It would have been faster but the rain wouldn’t stop. This was much much faster than our neighbors working with other companies. We are very satisfied.

I would like to thank Jose Galvan, our salesperson, for his exceptional and prompt response to our today’s message. It didn’t take more than an hour for him to come, climb to our roof and check. This opportunity has changed my life

My roof was replaced 3-4 years ago, but this winter it leaked in the roof valley and caused inside damage. Cardinals evaluated the damage and denied anything wrong and recommended to resealing of the area. Ask me to call somebody else because they are busy! My reply was, I will not use you or recommend you to others if you don't care about your customers...

We have been very happy and impressed with Logan. It’s risky working with a new contractor and not knowing exactly what you are getting into, but Logan has put our anxieties at ease. Not knowing whether or not we were even going to hire them, he patched some spots on the roof after our big storm to be sure no water came in until we made a decision. He is very knowledgeable, great at communicating, punctual, and thorough when explaining how the process works. He knows his stuff and we’re happy to be working with him.

I had the creepiest experience with this company. They were parked in front of my house. No one was in the truck. Then someone came up our street on a Segway. I asked him if it was his truck. He said NO. He then asked if it was mine which was so bizarre, but then he got in the truck! It was wrapped with cardinal contractors on it. They proceeded to harass every house on our street. Then they came back to my house! They pounded and pounded on the door. I finally went and told them to leave. This is harassment and NOT the way to get business. I have talked to neighbors who also agreed that this was weird behavior and very disruptive! This is a terrible way to market your business.

I would never use this company strictly for the way that they are approaching my home in my community. Three times now I have watched their truck race up my street and stop right in front of my house and come to my door saying that they happen to notice that my roof had some damage. My roof has no damage, I had an insurance claim that was reviewed for something else so obviously, they have purchased a list from different insurance companies. Simply for the fact of their driving skills and how they're approaching, my home and me is reason for never calling this company for business.

I joined Cardinal Contractors at the end of 2024, looking to make a major change in my life and career. What drew me in was the promise of building a successful career in sales with fair compensation and a strong team culture. The company was in a growth phase, trying to bring in people who aligned with their core values, and I was ready to push through the challenges to learn everything I could about the roofing and restoration industry.

Throughout my time there, I consistently worked hard and took pride in how I handled my customers. Many of them told me how confident and informative I was, and how much they appreciated that I always made them feel comfortable and well-informed throughout the entire process. That positive feedback kept me going.

Unfortunately, leadership often seemed to overlook that. Despite the results I was delivering and the relationships I was building with clients, I was frequently told that I didn’t care enough or wasn’t listening—comments that didn’t reflect the actual feedback I was getting from the people we serve.

As the company started growing quickly in the warmer months, leadership took on more responsibility—and with it came more pressure that often trickled down to the sales team. The tone shifted, and what started as motivation began to feel like unnecessary stress.

Overall, I’m grateful for what I learned and the experience I gained, but I do think there’s a disconnect between leadership’s perception and what actually happens in the field. There’s real potential at Cardinal Contractors, especially for those willing to work hard—but better communication and respect between leadership and the sales team would make a big difference.

We experienced a hailstorm on March 14, 2024, and after reaching out to our insurance company, we chose to seek an independent contractor to repair our roof, siding, gutters, etc. Cardinal Contractors was one of the companies that approached us, and after seeing their five-star reviews on Google, we decided to give them a try.

Initially, everything went smoothly. We signed a contract in late March, and the roof replacement was completed by early April. Communication from our salesman and the office was great—we were kept in the loop about material deliveries and contractor schedules. We felt confident that the rest of the project (siding and gutters) would go just as well. Unfortunately, that was not the case.

For the next three months, there was almost no communication from Cardinal Contractors. Despite understanding the high demand after the storm, the lack of updates became extremely frustrating. In June, I was asked to sign a “Siding Change Order Form” to confirm the color of our siding, but beyond that, we received no estimate, no contract, and no timeline for the work.

Things took a turn for the worse in late August when I found siding materials dumped in my driveway and contractors ripping off our existing siding without any prior notice or explanation. My attempts to communicate with them were unsuccessful due to the language barrier, and my salesman, Wesley Adams, was unreachable. The same uncoordinated approach was repeated with our gutter repairs in September. I wasn’t home when the work began, and when I returned, the subcontractors were waiting to tell me they had finished—without any prior warning or communication.

Then, in late September, I received an unexpected bill without any breakdown of costs or an explanation of what had been done. I immediately requested clarification, but to this day, I’ve received no response. I never agreed to any pricing for the siding or gutters, nor did I sign a contract for this work. The only document I signed was the color confirmation. I’ve now received automated payment reminders, most recently in early October, with still no human response.

While Cardinal Contractors handled the roof portion of our project well, their management of the siding and gutter work was disastrous. The lack of communication, transparency, and organization left us deeply stressed and worried. I still have no idea if all the required work was completed to the standards needed to satisfy our insurance and mortgage, and now I fear they may place a lien on our home due to their mishandled subcontractor payments. Their lack of proper communication and clear agreements may even result in damage to my credit.

I would not recommend Cardinal Contractors for siding or gutter repairs. They seem to excel at roofing but fall apart when it comes to other parts of the job. This has been the most stressful project I have ever dealt with.

Scammers and shady. DO NOT SIGN ANY “contract” because they won’t give a copy of what you sign when you actually sign it and if you’re able to get a copy emailed after numerous requests, the supposed “contract” has been altered. When you ask ANY questions trying to get clarification on billing discrepancies, you’ll only get a single pat response saying “well that’s what is in the contract” .
Do not use and alsocheck their rating on the Better Business Bureau and read the reviews. Im about to file my own report with the BBB. They additionally put in their “contract” that you, the customer, must leave a 5 star review!! SO DONT TRUST THEIR STAR RATING AND IVE UPDATED THIS AS OF June 13 2025 AND ADDED THE PROOF . Matt is dishonest, he even says in his reply to my original review that his “key point” is the don’t require customers to leave a 5 star review but you can clearly see on my “contract” where is says “must leave a 5 star review”!!
Also and again, I put the word “contract” is quotes because it’s really not a true contract because they alter/change/delete items themselfs at their whim. MY ONLY HOPE IF THIS SAVES SOMEONE WHAT IVE HAD TO FIGHT THROUGH. I paid them every sent the insurance company paid me and yet they sued me for another $8600 on my poor moms house who is paralyzed. They also tried to scam me for extra money on my home but they finally dropped it after I showed them and kept the sales persons personal scratch paper that proved what I was promised. Google shouldn’t let their currant review status because they DO REQUIRE CUSTOMERS TO GIVE 5 STAR REVIEWS AND IVE BROUGHT THE PROOF!

Jose did a great job by checking our roof in detail for free if there is any damage. He was quick to respond, on time, checked our roof and spent a good amount of time, came up with pictures with small hazards and honest enough to say not to worry for now. I would definitely call him back for a repair if we have any damages in the future. Thank you!

After having a significant amount of hail damage to our roof, Wes quickly responded to our request for an assessment and worked tirelessly with our insurance company to ensure every bit of damage was covered by our claim. He also managed to quickly acquired materials for the job, which can be difficult to do when a large number of folks are all dealing with the same type of damage at the same time. Wes was an absolute delight to work with and his whole team was extremely efficient and wonderful to interact with!

Tony Scrima from Cardinal Contractors came out to my house that I'm selling to inspect the roof. He found some minor issues and handled them right there.
I've known Tony, his dad and his entire family for about 25 years or so.

Logan and Ben came by house today to check for any roof damage caused by recent storms in my area. They were honest and said my class 3 shingles looked good! They were super friendly and I would call them to inspect for any future storm damage.

Since Tony left the company, I have been trying to get an estimate since December from a different employee. I decided to stay with Cardinal because they seemed competent and willing to help after being let down by another contractor. Despite my following up every 2 weeks, I kept getting excuse after excuse.
“I forgot to tag my estimator in the follow up note”
“Vinyl siding can’t be installed under 40 degrees anyways” (what does that have to do with getting me an estimate?)
“I had to supply some additional info to the estimator- did you want the new siding placed over your current? Do you currently have plywood underneath?” (Is this not information you should have supplied to the estimator before?!)
And then on 2/20/25 “Things had been at a bit of a standstill with the weather, but I asked my estimator to please get this done today. I will forward it to you as soon as I receive it.” (again- the weather has nothing to do with getting me an estimate.)
I have yet to hear back from them.
I’m not sure why they don’t want money, but it’s really frustrating when you’re literally begging them to take it and they won’t. I guess it’s time to start shopping around (again) for a new contractor.

Working with Tony has been wonderful! We had a less than stellar experience with a previous contractor that fell off the face of the earth after giving us an estimate, and Tony swooped in to make this process easier than we could imagine. He’s handling all communication with our insurance company and is making sure every square inch of our house is accounted for. He’s extremely knowledgeable in this industry and we can’t wait to work on future projects with him.

Cardinal did a wonderful job on the roof. From meeting with the insurance company to the finished job. They were quick and professional from instillation to cleanup. Logan Correll was very helpful in this process. I highly recommend using Cardinal and Logan..

It has been a pleasure to work with Logan. He helped me get my claim started and met with the adjuster to ensure nothing was missed. Both he and Curtis have been very up front about the process, estimates and pricing. Looking forward to getting my new roof!

Tony was so easy to work with. He was very honest and made us feel very comfortable. He did not pressure us and helped us come to a decision that we were happy with.

I had Cardinal do roof on two of my houses. I had horrible experience.

1. I had to check on if all the line items are complete or not. I had to tell the Project manager to send someone back to finish those incomplete items. The Project manager said they were complete and then apologized later when he personally checked . Had to call three or four times to get them out again.

2. On multiple occasions, the sales guy said he will send me signed documents and didn’t. I had to constantly ask for it so that I can check what’s signed under the price.

3. I was charged for an item which is not on the original quote and wouldn’t have been corrected if I hadn’t caught it

No follow up after the work about the performance of the team. They just took the checks and never contacted after signing the contract

David and Curtis were very knowledgeable and professional. Would recommend these guys to anyone needing roofing work. Company is great and the employees know how to treat people. A+

Highly recommend! Tony has been amazing to work with! He is professional, knowledgeable, and exhibits a high level of customer service. He was very prompt in getting my roof assessed. Then he explained everything to me and made sure I understood and had no questions. He helped me file the claim with my insurance. When the insurance adjustor came to my house, Tony was there. He's basically held my hand through every step of the process and made sure I understood exactly what to expect.

After experiencing significant hail this Spring, I decided to have my roof inspected. I was pleased to secure an appointment within two days of calling Cardinal Contractors. Curtis and Tony arrived promptly for our scheduled appointment and displayed a high level of professionalism. Tony examined my roof and determined that a replacement was not necessary. They thoroughly explained the insurance process and the percentage of damage required to file a claim. Their honesty and professionalism impressed me. When the time comes for a new roof, I will definitely reach out to Cardinal Contractors. They are currently working on my employer's roof, and I have heard only positive reviews about their services.

Jose came to my house to check my roof for hail damage. I had already walked up there and looked a few days earlier, but I guess I didn’t know what I was looking for, and so I saw nothing of interest. Jose checked, and found many spots that had hail damage. The result was that he helped me call my insurance to file a claim, and get everything set up. Jose was very kind, and not at all pushy. Bottom line is that if you live in an area that has had hail, call Jose and ask him to check your house for damage. It’s better to get the damage repaired or replaced up front, before you find out that NOT repairing the hail damage causes even more costly damage to your house. Thank you Jose!

Wonderful customer service! We had significant hail damage to our roof, gutters and siding. Most companies were 2 weeks out just to send someone out to inspect our home. Alex spent an hour on a Friday night inspecting everything. On Monday Alex and Tim came out in the evening and walked us through our insurance paperwork offering recommendations for the repairs. It is very rare that you find a company that will go the extra mile. This company absolutely does!

My house was hit in the recent Valley Park hail storm and Tim has made the process easy. He helped get the siding protected right away to prevent further damage and has consistently stayed in contact with me. He showed up early for the insurance adjuster meeting and helped the process go smoothly. I look forward to working with Cardinal Contractors for the remaining repair process.

They were quick come out and meet our insurance adjuster to help get our roof approved. That would be the only positive, I would give no stars if I could. Our roof was delivered and sat on the top for about 2 weeks as I watched neighbors who went with STL roofs get delivered and installed as ours sat on top. I called them and told them this and in about a week ours was finally installed. There was supposed to be a project manager overseeing the whole job, but he stayed about 5 mins and left. During the install our window was broken. I had to call and get someone to replace it, and still have not been reimbursed. We were also supposed to have gutters replaced on the whole house and are still waiting. The roof was put on in may and it’s September 26 2020 now, still no gutters. Yesterday September 25 the gutters were supposed to be replaced, and no one came. No return calls from them either. A neighbor also had similar issues with them and told me he didn’t get results until he got aggressive with them. I understand things happen but we believe we have been more then patient. This is a very unorganized, unprofessional company and I’m sorry I ever gave them our business.
