They manage my condo complex and they are rude and condescending. Our hallways are filthy and they have done nothing about it. I can’t even contact the Condo board because it goes through this company .Cambridge will gaslight me and I have read the regulations!
Stay away from this company
If I could give a 0 , I would

I responded respectfully to the owner.
I can PROVE their response is incorrect in many ways through emails.
However, my response was not posted.

Exceptional Contractor – A Rare Find in the Industry

We own and self-manage several rental properties, so we’ve worked with many contractors over the years—some great, others not so much. Joe Clotzman, owner of Cambridge Companies, is truly one of the best we've ever had the pleasure of working with.

Joe wears many hats—contractor, property manager, project coordinator—and he does it all with professionalism, integrity, and impressive attention to detail. He holds the proper licenses, is fully insured, and conducts his work with the highest level of care.

Joe recently helped us with an extensive water damage repair project in one of our rental condos in Virginia. A hot water tank pipe had failed, causing significant damage. Since we live in Florida, managing the repair remotely could have been a nightmare—but Joe made the entire process seamless.

He not only guided us through material selection, taking the time to explain the pros and cons of each option, but also helped us choose quality, budget-friendly solutions. When an upstairs neighbor’s condo caused additional water damage to our ceiling during the repair, Joe took the initiative to track down the out-of-state owner, coordinate payment, and handle the repairs with minimal involvement on our part.

Joe went above and beyond what any typical contractor would do. He handled every last detail—from choosing and installing cabinet knobs, to scheduling a professional cleaning service, to meeting vendors for appliance delivery, installation, and even a fireplace inspection to ensure safety after the water damage.

What impressed us most was his responsiveness. Every question, every request—Joe responded quickly and thoroughly. He managed the entire project as if it were his own home.

We truly can’t say enough good things about Joe Clotzman and Cambridge Companies. His professionalism, reliability, and dedication are unmatched. If you’re looking for a trustworthy and highly capable contractor, Joe is the one to call.

We were not allowed to be at our move out inspection and the manager lied about a leak under the kitchen sink that we did NOT have. He also made sure he took some of our deposit for this. Flat out liar! He also shorted our deposit for his math error and it took us 2 1/2 months to get our partial refund. He also would not supply any documentation to support his claim.
Stay away from these swindlers!

We used Cambridge Companies to remodel our primary bathroom. The finished product is outstanding. The crew was here everyday and put in a full days work. They were friendly, professional and great to work with. I appreciate the professionalism and their quick response time. I would highly recommend.

We have used Cambridge to do work in our rental unit several times. This most recent was a large project and Cambridge completed it in a timely fashion and the end result was great! Would recommend!

Good luck! It took them a week to send someone to fix my fire alarm. So, be prepared to send multiple follow up emails. They also allowed my roommate to end the lease a month early without my knowledge and I was told that if I wasn’t staying for another year I had to move out. This was a month before my lease was supposed to end (yes, this is illegal). However, they refunded my security deposit so I chose to not make an issue of it.

During the coronavirus pandemic, Cambridge Companies was responsive and professional. We received several quotes for a multitude of items to be completed in our home 17 year old home we just purchased. Outside of a few hick-ups, they were very timely and were able to get the jobs performed without issue. I would and plan to use them again in the future.

I have hired Cambridge twice and both times I am 100% satisfied. Roger was super to work with, friendly and completed both jobs quickly. Joe was very nice and managed to squeeze us in when a problem popped up. I love my new patio railing and plan to use them again.

The response from this review should speak for itself, they are sooo unprofessional. The least professional management group I have experienced in the twenty years of owning several properties in Northern Virginia. They were clearly trying to upcharge my company on unauthorized repairs and wanted to spend my money on very expensive projects that they gave me bad advice on, simply because they own the construction company to do the work. When we let them go, our tenants revealed they were completely ignored and repairs were never done with no inspection of the property. They were rude to the tenants and us as owners. Please do your homework on property management before choosing them.

Called them for a roof repair, after I called other roofing companies that told me they were "too busy" to take service jobs. I called Cambridge and they sent a crew out on a Saturday to take care of the issue. Good service is hard to find these days, but this company cares!

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?
+-

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
