I’ve used Capitol Metro Contracting for over 15 years. They did a complete renovation of my basement adding a game room and gym, painted the entire first floor of my home and repaired and rebuilt my front porch and rails. Their employees show up on time, maintain area cleanliness and truly take pride in their work. The estimates they provide on cost and completion are competitive and reasonable with no surprise add- ons. Management and staff are professional and a pleasure to work with. Kathy is responsive and explains in detail any questions I may have before and during the process. Prior to any final payment, Hector comes and inspect the work to ensure it has been completed to the company’s high standard and me as a customer, is completely satisfied.

My wife and I cannot recommend Capital Metro Contracting too highly. We needed to organize our storage area and had no idea how to do it. Capital designed a series of heavy-duty storage shelves for the area that could accommodate everything. The installers were wonderful. We are delighted with the shelving and believe we were charged a fair price.

We recently had Capitol Metro Contracting complete a backyard project, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. They built us a stunning deck that has completely transformed our outdoor space — it’s now our favorite part of the house!

We worked with CMC for the installation of a door and arched transom window to lead out to our raised deck. We had trouble finding a company willing to take on such a small job, and were very pleased CMC agreed to take the contract. They did great work and kept to their proposed timeline. We'd happily work with them again.

We have had the distinct pleasure and good fortune to contract with Hector Martinez and Capital Metro Contracting for over the past twelve years in the accomplishment of numerous projects on our Alexandria, VA residence. What started with simple concrete pouring work to complete a large patio for a jacuzzi and under-deck concrete flooring following a major addition to our 1960s vintage home developed into an enduring professional relationship and friendship that flourished with each subsequent project as we recognized the talent of Hector’s artisans with whom he subcontracts. Follow-on projects over the years included driveway removal and replacement with a new, expanded concrete driveway with handsome brickwork borders; removal and replacement of our concrete front porch and curved entrance walkway with brickwork that is welcoming; removal of our picket fence and the construction of an 8 foot high solid privacy fence; replacement of our wooden deck across the rear our our home’s 2009 addition with Trex planking and vinyl columns with horizontal stainless steel cabling; installation of a new sump pump and buried exhaust plumbing out to the street; construction of a new retaining wall around our vegetable garden; installation of luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring throughout our ground floor; installation of ceramic tile backsplash above the granite countertop in our kitchen and total renovation and enlargement and replumbing of our downstairs 60s-vintage guest bathroom to include walk-in shower, ceramic tiling of walls and floor … and MORE!!! My family has worked with Capitol Metro Contacting on several home renovation projects, big and small, since 2019. We have been continuously impressed with their quality of work, creative problem solving, communication and kindness. They are well priced and have a great team of subcontractors. CMC helped us with 2 kitchen remodels, open up cased openings to help with connection on our main floor, a bathroom update, a deck, fencing, a tricky stair banister and several plumbing and electrical upgrades. Not only have they worked with us on planned projects but they have come to the rescue on several occasions when something has gone awry in the house. For example, they quickly came to our aid when our heat went out two days after bringing our newborn home from the hospital. I emailed Kathy after hours on a Friday night in a panic and John was at our home 8 AM the next day to fix it. I hired CMC contracting to renovate my luxury beauty studio located in Tyson’s Corner and their work exceeded my expectations. They put in new ceilings, new cabinetry, new tabletops, electrical work, new lighting, and decorative molding. The studio came out so beautiful. Their work was timely and well priced. Capitol Metro Contracting LLC is my “go to” for all renovation projects. We engaged Hector and the team for the first time in 2019 for a full basement gut and renovation. They built a full bath, storage room, under stair storage, HVAC space and office nook. The work was impeccable. Since they have built our walk in closet and renovated the closets in two other rooms, renovated two bathrooms, replaced the roof, installed new gutters and installed landscape lighting and pavers in the front and back of the house. All work is impeccable, affordable, managed well and executed flawlessly. I can’t recommend enough!
