Met with the owner, Charles on 2 different projects. One a small repair and the other new roof. Charles is a standup guy, honest and reliable. They, like almost every roofing company in the area, use subcontractors to actually do most of their work and use their own in-house supervision which was not clear upon initial meeting. Price was ok, not the least expansive but because of Charles’ clear knowledge I used them on both jobs. The repair went very smooth and without incident. The reroof went not as good.

Issue arose at the start. Poor planning, supervision and follow thru were a nightmare. Good communication prior to start but I think the supervision may need better training and assistance on dealing with customers and their subbed crew. Very little preparation on their part was done prior to starting and subsequently resulted in unnecessary and very avoidable issues such as damaged screens, damage to deck and railing, HVAC units, siding and personal property.

Without going into too much detail, it was a mess and a true disaster. They needed to hire a pressure washing company to clean the house and I hope they will never use them again because he insulted our property via a group text message and never bothered to apologize, however once Charles and his wife got personally involved, most things were corrected to our satisfaction. Charles is a man of his word and followed thru to make sure all aspects of my concerns were met and ultimately addressed and corrected.

Better supervision and better subcontractor crew would have helped tremendously and likely avoided all issues.

Charles was spot on with gutter/gutter-guard plans for our home and Rick, who completed the work, was extremely skilled and professional. He took time to get all the details correct and was meticulous in his work. The gutters look beautiful and for an affordable price.
So glad we found this company!

Wright Roofing replaced my roof 9 years ago - since then I've had a couple of minor issues - each time Keith has arrived on-time and addressed any issues that I had. Today he addressed a pesky Skylight leak by going above and beyond by replacing the flashing. Additionally, I needed three shingles replaced - he addressed that during this visit. By chance a replacement Skylight Blind I had ordered arrived during his visit today and he took the time to install it for me! Not many businesses would go the extra mile like this. Thank you, Keith!!!

Excellent Family run company. Purchased gutters and guards (2022). The owner Charles Wright provided good information and tips that saved me time and money. This company also installed gutters on my daughter's house and they were pleased with the work.

10/28/22 - just had Raymond do some spot cleaning. Fast and efficient. Highly recommend this company.

09/23/23 - I had to have an upstairs AC / furnace installed. On the day of installation CL Wright Roofing coordinated arrival with the AC company and installed shingles and flashing around the new vent pipe. Price was fair and coordination with the A/C was fantastic. Highly recommend them for any repair gutters or Roofing needs.

They stand behind their product and their workmanship. To me it is not about perfection, but more about what happens if it starts out perfect but things change, as they always do. U can count on them to keep an awesome roof over your head. They are dependable and honest and a joy to work with. They remind me of Chip and Joanna Gaines..and they are just as cute. My roof has been on about 3 years I am speaking from experience..you want the best? This is it..nope not related, just a happy customer.

Mr. Wright and his wife do the office paperwork and the ground presentation quite well .... but what about the work on the roof??
In my case I thought I had found a quality contractor to properly install a 50 year shingle so I could rest easy for the rest of my time here on earth. I recall asking him if he "had his own crew or if he used subcontractors" and he would not answer the question, he just kept responding "my men only work for me". That should have been a red flag but I was tired of looking and signed the contract.
A two man crew of non english speaking Mexicans came out and worked like trojans in very cold weather in the 30s.
I had paid for F channel to be placed all around the perimeter of the roof to keep the shingle edge straight and so the water would not drip off the ends of the roof and "plink" down on the flashing below. What I got was aluminum trim bent in a 90, which did not accomplish what I wanted. He said he deducted the extra cost but I was left to listen to the rain drip down on the flashing for the rest of my life!
Because of the cold and my thought that I had a quality contractor I did not go outside to supervise.. not my job right? At one point I did go out and noticed that the workman on my garage was sitting down and laying a shingle and then nailing the first nail with the nail gun straight up and down, fine, but then as he sat there and continued nailing down the shingle but not moving his butt, the angle of the gun changed significantly so that the other nails were at such an angle the lower portion of the nail head was breaking through the shingle and the upper half of the head was leaving a sharp edge that would rub through the shingle above. But I did not know that at the time and I went back inside to warm up.
Everything looked good from the ground and like a good homeowner I paid the 15,000.00 bill when the supervisor came
A week or so later I got up on the garage roof and discovered that every other shingle had a broken surface. There were numerous nails that simply had not been driven in properly and you could see them holding up the shingle on top of the nail. So I contacted Mr. Wright and had him come out to look it over, he went up and looked around and then said what do you want, I said I want my 50 year shingles properly installed and the only way to do that is to remove them and start over. He said he would nail down the nails that were obvious problems but that was all.
Well over the next months I contacted Certainteed the shingle manufacturer who "certified" Mr. Wright as being competent and they stopped by to empathize but the shingle warranty can only be utilized "after" you have a leak. They do not warranty "improper" installation by one of their "certified" installers even though they say they require proper installation for the warranty on their website.
Long story short-
I contacted a home inspector who did a thorough inspection and said there were numerous problems.
I contacted four roofing contractors who were kind enough to come out and inspect the roof and all four said the shingles were improperly installed. Mr. Wright disagreed with them all and would not do anything.
I sued Mr. Wright and he had the gall to have his lawyer counter sue me!
The Judge did not even mention his counter suit when he gave judgement to me for 14,000.00. Mr. Wright was arrogant and unremorseful the entire time. His "do it wright" warranty is for marketing purposes only.
This all took place probably five years ago while my wife and I were dealing with breast cancer and it bothers me to this day that for months I had to think about dealing with this man in the judicial system. I now have my first leak! The nails and sealant on the flashing above the pouch were all done very poorly and it was leaking through the wood ceiling on the porch. So having seen this firms response to poor workmanship I would not touch them with a ten foot pole, unless you enjoy conflict and angst!

Terrible experience. They left a huge mess, wrecked 3 screens, and had to come back 3 times to fix a leak -- after we spent $42k on a new roof! Then, when the roof discolored and the manufacturer was willing to replace it, CL Wright didn't want to since they didn't get reimbursed enough. They finally replaced it and damaged some drywall under a skylight, and had the nerve to tell me that the damage was there previously (even though we just had the ceiling painted since we put our house on the market). Instead of owning up to it, they insulted me via email and told me I had an attitude. These guys are bad news. Jo Anne is rude and insulting. Pay a little more and get someone good. They aren't worth it.

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
