Lowes dishwasher installation. No showed on delivery day despite me calling during my delivery window to confirm I was on the schedule. Was told the next day that I would receive an email from the scheduling team with a new delivery date, this also never happened. Now they aren't answering their phone.

I had a hot water tank installed. From the 1st phone call I made this morning, this is a very professional and down to earth company.
Drew the installer was great! Personable, knowledgeable & very neat! He arrived on time, called to let me know he was 15 minutes from arriving at my house.
My experience with By Tor Contracting Inc. was very positive. They will get all of my plumbing business!

I would give 0 stars if I could!! I will NEVER use Lowe's or By Tor Contracting for anything EVER again!!

Purchased front and back entry doors as well as storm doors. First appointment took about 2 months after I ordered doors, By Tor measured wrong so they had to reorder doors.

Second appointment (2 monhts later), By Tor never showed and said they had a different install date.....UGH.

Another month later and what I thought would be the last appointment, was yet another disappointment!! They broke the storm door upon installation so they have to reorder yet another door. Here I am 7 months after ordering and paying for my doors, still waiting for the job to be completed!!

They will leave a huge mess for the customer to clean and caulking was all over my floor that I had to clean. Nails all over front porch that were never cleaned and they set their tools on a small table on front porch and scratched it all up. DO NOT EVER use this company or Lowe's installation. Call a handyman or go to Home Depot!!!

After reading other reviews of this company I am not surprised by the service I recieved and I feel like may have dodged a bullet.
This company was contracted by Lowe's to install my dishwasher and haul away the old one.
The installer that came to my house informed me he could not install the dishwasher because I needed a piece on one of the pipes for it to be hooked up. That was no problem. I could have easily gotten the piece or he could have went to Lowe's and purchased it and added it to the bill. I spoke to a representative at Lowe's that confirmed that was an option and even she didn't know why he didn't offer to do so.
As I was speaking to the guy, he informed me that I could have a plumber come in to fit the piece. He and the gentleman that was helping him dropped the dishwasher off on my porch and went back to the truck. I assumed they were getting things ready to haul the old dishwasher away.
They ended up leaving and not only did they not hook up the dishwasher they didn't even take the old one away! He actually told me to call a plumber to fit the piece on or suggested I do it myself which was very strange since I had paid around $150 for them to do the install and haul away.
When I called Lowe's to let them know the installer left, they told me he told them they couldn't do the install due to a leaky shut off valve. I was very shocked because that was simply not true. We had a plumber out less than a year prior to redo the plumbing under our kitchen sink and while the installer was here, he checked the valve in front of me as he was explaining what piece I would need and how to install it. He never mentioned anything about a leaky valve and even commented that he was surprised the valve actually worked because most older homes have issues with the valve corroding if they have not been used in awhile.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the 'service' I received and even though Lowe's thankfully refunded the installation fee, I am now in a situation where I have to take the time to find and schedule another install because of the laziness and incompetence of a worker who it seems like just simply did not want to do his job .

**EDIT** I wanted to update now that I was able to have someone else come hook up the dishwasher.

They were able to hook up the dishwasher WITHOUT the piece the original installer told me I needed and it was hooked up and running in less than an hour. No issues, no leaks,no additional parts needed. Save yourself the trouble and get literally anyone else besides this company to assist you.

Terrible experience with By-Tor. I purchased a new pendant light through Lowe's and paid for installation through them, which was contracted to By-Tor. I was told they would arrive on 1/31 to install the light, and that date came and went with no communication from By-Tor. Lowe's customer service told me that "By-Tor said they have been trying to contact you but have not been able to get a hold of you" which is a flat-out lie. I never received any emails or phone calls from By-Tor. Lowe's customer service said they "prioritized" my case and By-Tor would reach out by 2/4.

That date came and went with no communication, either. Later that week, I received an email from Lowe's saying that "my installation service has been cancelled at your request," which, again, is a lie because I did not request that my installation service be cancelled.

It is now 2/15 and I still have the light because I have not been able to install it myself, and I still never received any communication from By-Tor. Shady, unreliable company who flat-out gaslights you as their customer. I would love to give 0/5 if that was an option.

This contractor came to my home to install a water heater. The service was fast, but they made a mess on my carpet while removing the old unit. The installer advised me to call his boss, assuring me they would take care of it.

I reached out, and Frank returned my call today. When I explained the issue, his response was vague—saying he both could and couldn't help. It felt as though he didn’t care about the potential damage to my home. Understandably, I was frustrated and pointed out that they should be responsible for any damage caused during installation. He outright refused and stated they are not liable. He also raised his voice on the phone.

I appreciate that Google provides a platform for consumers to share their experiences, especially when service falls short. Frank refused to inspect the damage and abruptly hung up on me, which I found highly unprofessional. I have since contacted Lowe’s, who is escalating the situation; and if I don’t receive a resolution, I will be reaching out to the Better Business Bureau. I will update this review once I have more information. It’s unfortunate that I even had to file a complaint like this.

Brandon was very professional, efficient and quick with installing our new water tank. He did a great job and it was even during poor weather conditions. (Great timing for my water heater to kick the can :( ). Highly recommend!

Very efficient, pleasant and skilled installers. One of the reasons why I chose Lowes to buy and install a new water heater was the training and certification of installers from By-Tor contracting Incorporated. The new water heater was installed the day after I ordered it.

Our installer was terrific (I wish I could remember his name!). He was friendly, kind, and courteous. He took the time to explain everything to me, which I appreciated very much.
My only wish would be that the company responded to phone calls in a timely manner.

This company is absolutely horrible. We bought an appliance from Lowe's and they were contracted by Lowe's to install it. They installed a broken appliance in our house that they knew was broken and left it installed anyway. Now they refuse to go to Lowe's to pick up the functioning replacement, will not return my calls and will not address the issue. They did not confirm their install date, they showed up without us being home, refused to wait 10 minutes for us to come home and left. When they did finally come several days later, that is when they installed the broken appliance and left. They also put huge gouges in our wooden kitchen floor removing the old appliance. Lowe's has told us By-Tor is responsible for scheduling the removal of the broken unit and reinstallation of a functioning unit, but By-Tor doesn't even answer their phones. Do not waste your time with this company, they do not care about the customer after they get their money.

Brandon was punctual, pleasant, polite, and professional. Very respectful of our home and our privacy. He worked very cleanly and quietly . The work was done fast, but also properly. He took time to explain what he would be doing and made sure that I understood how the unit works. Very knowledgeable. He took all garbage, and old water tank out for me, and made sure he cleaned up after himself. I would DEFINITELY recommend By-Tor to anyone needing work done. Just an all around great job. I can't say enough about Brandon and By-Tor. Very satisfied customer.

Adam was my ByTor Contracting representative today. I’m not usually one to leave reviews but I was impressed by Adam’s workmanship and work ethics. He is very knowledgeable courteous pleasant and hard working. He explained things about the new hot water tank, the expansion tank and was respectful of my property. Everything was left just as he found it, only better…now I had a perfectly installed new tank. I would Highly recommend Adam for your installation needs.

Lowes uses these people and they are idiots. Bought a microwave and the guy told me they built my cabinets around the microwave and they couldn't get it down without possibly damaging my backslash as there was no room to get it out. Had the guy took 2 seconds to Google it he would of seen once you take out the bolts it easily lifts of the brackets. What makes me mad is they reported to lowes that the microwave was bigger which was not the case. It was actually a tad bit smaller. So they lie and are idiots. Don't let these people touch your house its pretty bad when they cant even install a microwave. Got someone local to do it for me and it was cheaper and they actually knew what they were doing and had it done in just a few minutes.

We recently purchased a dishwasher from Lowe’s, and it was installed, today, by plumbers from By Tor Contracting Inc. The two installers were courteous, professional and very thorough, running the unit and checking for any leaks before they left. I highly recommend them!

Water heater catastrophically failed and By-Tor had a new one installed in less than 12 hours. They showed up on the early side of the installation window and removed the old water heater, installed the new one, hauled the old one away, and cleaned up within 35 minutes. Amazing! 5 stars! 12/10 would highly recommend.

These guys were great! They were able to install a new gas hot water tank in my home within a couple of days, when others could not. They were on time, very professional and friendly! Mike and Drew came to my house and patiently waited for me as I was stuck in traffic. They didn't mind working in a damp, dank, dark basement with cramped quarters. They were friendly and professional. I would recommend by-tor based on these two employees.

Lowe's uses By-Tor for installation. Total clown company. They scheduled us for a measurement and never showed for the time they had us scheduled. When I contacted them regarding the problem, they made excuses for their lack of communication and wasting our time. When I spoke to the project manager, he reflected the same clown attitude regarding how customers are treated. Avoid this company, and Lowe's for that matter since they contract with the unprofessional company By-Tor Contracting. The company just likes wasting your time and money. Horrific customer service.

Thanks Brandon and Adam for helping us on a holiday weekend. It was an high quality and professional install, their plumbing experience showed. They're also just a nice couple of guy's who you can tell make a good team.

Pictures say a 1,000 words. The plumber dumped handfuls of sediment down my sup pump which I had to personally clean out and he didn’t even clean up off the floor. My pump was working when the plumber was there and wasn’t when he left and when I complained about it, Frank threatened me like a 5 year old. No one person in their office has decent customer service. They do not leave things the way they left them. Frank is a complete loser!

Very happy with our water heater installation. They were able to come out next day to install the unit, we're prompt, fast and courteous.

Messaged them about a water heater leak/no hot water at 11pm and they responded immediately. They came in around 9am the next morning and were able to replace the faulty water heater with a new one in under an hour. Very efficient and responsive.

He tried to help me by giving me the number for synchrony so I could get my card number ( it hasn’t arrived yet) but when the associate at Lowe’s fill out the application she put it under business not personal. So I have a little work to do but you’ll get paid I promise!!

We arrived home from vacation to find our first floor completely flooded due to our hot water heater pressure valve blowing. We decided to upgrade to a tankless hot water heater, and this company went above and beyond to make the install seamless and stress free. Drew, my Installer was a very nice and Knowledgeable young man! He went above and beyond to make sure the job was done right. He even ran back to Lowe’s to receive the drip pan that I had purchased in the contract but was not on his order form.

By-Tor Contracting, Inc. was wonderful to work with in replacing our hot water heater! We found them through the Lowe’s Installation program. Payton and Elizabeth contacted us about our needs and product preference. We completed some measurement tasks and sent some photos of our space. We ordered on a Monday and install was scheduled for Friday. The team of two installers were prompt in arriving during our scheduled window and kind young men. It was a tall task, but they were quick and efficient.
There was even a small hiccup with the wiring and we contacted them at the number they place on the heater as soon as we noticed there was a problem. By Saturday morning, they were back at our house working on the problem. Drew and Frank were respectful and informative every step of the way. We appreciate their business and would utilize their services again! Exceptional company to work with. Thank you!

Purchased a hot water heater for my parents today and we live quite a distance from them, so we used By-Tor for the install. Payton got back to me very quickly with the estimate, worked with me to get measurements and pictures because I was so far away, and then provided a fair estimate. She scheduled the install within 24 hours which was a very pleasant surprise. Brandon arrived on time for the installation. He was incredibly polite to my parents, very knowledgeable, and super efficient. WELL DONE By-Tor - you have hired 2 high quality employees to represent your business well and they deserve a huge KUDOS!
