We have called Burton Enterprises in the past for roofing and window repairs and was very pleased with their services. Always prompt and pleasant, fair pricing and excellent customer service. This time, it was our roof. It was time for a replacement. We gathered 5 quotes this spring. Putting it off as long as we could because it is an important decision and our roof is not an easy one with EFIS siding, lots of pitches and flashing. Mr. Burton came out to give the estimate. Very pleasant, professional man. Their prices are very competitive. A few others tried to compete and couldn't. They asked what type of shingles were used, the same as them. GAF and Timberland, excellent quality shingles. After signing, we were on the schedule within a little over a week. We couldn't be happier with our new roof. From Mr. Burton to Jennifer in the office, just a great group of people to do business with. After the job was complete, they sent out Elias to do the finishing touches and straighten out some siding and aluminum wrapping. He did a perfect job. Very conscientious and hard working. The kind of person that you feel good about working on your home. You just get a sense of integrity and pride of workmanship. We plan to call them back in the future for other projects.

Great company to work with. Everything was on time and on budget. I got 3 bids on my roof, I really wanted them to do the job and told him what he had to beat and if he could beat the lowest by one dollar he had the job. He beat it by $590, very honest man. They had the Majority of the old roof off and the new roof on in one day. Very polite crew. The next day Dave came by, put up a ladder and looked the roof over. He used a magnet to check for nails in the yard. He said he noticed we had dogs and really spent a lot of time looking for nails. He also left us a bundle of Shingles. I would recommend this company.

We like the owner but the employees not so much showing up unannounced 630am. No communication have to ask the same question over and over. Only one guy that does decks. Who also did siding complained only worked 4 hours a day wanted the week off for another job when this job was almost done. Siding and roof looks good had to come out and fix some errors, they were annoyed about that.. they lost contracts to other jobs we had lined up. Said they were booked for a while but they could get us in monday and Tuesday for deck that never happened because of rain. Found a better company to work with. Lack of communication. Contract was written wrong for deck. The guy even tried to get other side jobs while on the clock

This company is ABSOLUTELY WORTHLESS! I would leave zero stars if I could! We bought a house and when we had the home inspection, they discovered an issue with the gutter and the board behind needing to be replaced. We were referred to Burton Enterprises by our realtor. We contacted them in January. They made it sound like they were going to come out and fix it. They never followed up to schedule it and when we tried to contact them to see what was going on, they had every excuse in the book for why they couldn’t get it done yet but they assured us it would be done. 2 months later, it still isn’t done. They came out a couple of days ago and all they did was drill holes in our gutter and then had the audacity to lie to our realtor and tell him the job was done. The gutter still hasn’t been replaced, it is still sagging, and now the wood behind it is rotting. The sad part is, WE LIVE 1 MILE FROM THEM and they still can’t seem to make it here and fix it correctly!!! Don’t waste your time.

Our property is less than a mile from Burton Enterprise's office. We've given this company over $10,000 of work over the last year, but they have really let me down this week. Our tenant can see daylight through their bathroom ceiling and we are on day 4 of waiting for a tarp to cover the hole in the roof so that rain and critters can not get inside the home until the roof is actually repaired. This is the only bathroom in the house and this hole is directly above the shower. I want to fix the ceiling but if it rains, the leak will just re-occur and we will be back at square one. The tenants are fed up, and I am very disappointed.

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
