Brian was really easy to work with, listened carefully to my concerns and descriptions of the items to be repaired or refurbished. There was a wide variety of things to do: refinishing a butcher block with a low VOC polyurethane, adjusting most of the doors in the house to latch again because of significant sagging, getting a door to the deck to close more easily by replacing the sweep (which required a lot of fine tuning!), adjusting the drain piping under the kitchen sink to drain properly, and removing some old blinds from large windows.

Many of these jobs sound small but they weren't. There was a great deal of diagnosis needed (especially for the door latch problem, which I could not figure out myself even with a lot of time, and the kitchen sink which had a mysterious bad odor) and preparation (especially to uninstall and reinstall the butcher block). He did each job with great precision. And while he was at the house, I was able to show him a few problems I hadn't considered; he fixed all of them.

The key point is that Brian communicated well, which plays a major part in identifying the issues, then fixing and refurbishing!

Brian was awesome! He built some privacy fencing with a gate and it came out great! He got creative with me in figuring out what would look good and kept me apprised of pricing and his hours the entire time so I could stay withing my budget range. Highly recommend!

Brian has been helping me settle into a new home, and handling all the work I can't do myself. From gutter cleaning to checking on a warped wall, he's always offering advice and suggesting things for me to keep an eye on. I'd recommend him to anyone!

Built to Last (Brian) was recommended by my realtor. I moved into a new place in July and needed a handyman to help with some small projects. It was EXTREMELY difficult to find anyone who would come until I called Brian. He came and listened to what I needed. He provided great feedback and ALWAYS consulted me on his approach to fixing things and it was ALWAYS affordable. If he couldn't make an appointment, he would call ahead and reschedule. In this somewhat post-COVID, he was very respectful of my space and offered to wear a mask for my comfort. Brian started out installing a garbage cabinet pull out, fixing a light, and patching some cracks in the concrete patio. He then moved to bigger jobs where he built a floor and shelves for my outdoor storage in my garage. He was and is fantastic. I hired Built to Last to do a renovation in one of my bathrooms. The work involved plumbing, installing a new sink/faucet/vanity, installing a new shower door, flooring and painting.
The quality of Brian's work is outstanding. He also offered valuable suggestions for some tweaks that made the final outcome even better.
A huge advantage is his broad skill set, so he can do a wide range of work without having to involve subcontractors. My wife and I are totally satisfied with the final outcome.
