Rouben and his Build Pros team did a fantastic job with our kitchen. From design to finished product he was there for us, offered suggestions like the unique but subtle tile placement over the stove for a design pop. He was available and willing to answer questions. They are honest, saved our subfloor as it didn’t need replacement. As with any remodel things come up but they were always addressed immediately. After shopping around we found build pros pricing to be very good and he seems to actually care about his clients. We decided to have our fence redone with Rouben and Build Pros based on our kitchen remodel experience. They have great people but special shout out to Altino who did an amazing job on our kitchen and fence! Also if you are wondering like I was, don’t be afraid to ditch your old peninsula. We are loving the extra space.

I was trying to come home after a long day of doing a roof trying to park both my truck and van but these guys blocked my way in with their truck.Both of my vehicles require lots of space to back up since its a tight street and i called them they say they’re in boston so i had to wait til the night to move both my vehicles there and not to mention they parked on the side where it clearly says no park either side.Unbelievable

TLDR: We hired them to completely remodel our bathroom, redo the basement stairs, and they did a few other small things along the way. Rouben and his team were phenomenal. If you want quality work, excellent communication, and ease of mind, hire Build Pros.

We originally wanted to have our microwave vented out (rather than circulating air and grease in the kitchen) and add a second banister to the stairs to the basement to make them more safe for our growing toddler. We were also considering having our spare basement bathroom remodeled. The bathroom really wasn't very functional because it was built in pieces (so the gross tiny stall shower wasn't even in the bathroom). That was a big job, and we wanted to get a quote for all three pieces. The first two jobs were too small on their own, so we hired Build Pros for all three.

They were amazing to work with, and the work they did was the highest of quality. The team was extremely communicative, and we always knew when they were coming, what they were doing next, and what to expect. Their spreadsheet system made it really easy for everyone to keep track of what we had selected, costs, etc. They helped us a ton with design decisions, made recommendations when appropriate, and made sure we were happy with absolutely everything before moving forward. Our house stayed unbelievably clean, given the level of work they were doing, throughout the process. Mike and Rouben were fantastic at reimagining the layout of our bathroom, taking all of our priorities into consideration. John, their carpenter, is a master. We went way over budget, but a lot of that was my fault. I wanted a bathroom that was functional, but the more we talked and designed, the more I realized we actually could get a really *nice* bathroom that wasn't just functional, but high end. They did a bunch of other random things in the area too. We just were so happy with their work, and they were already there, so we asked them to fit in a few small things and they were awesome in getting those done too (adding a couple outlets in the adjacent home gym, replacing our outdoor water spigots, etc.). We are extremely happy with the final products. We even had a water problem shortly after they finished. They fixed it swiftly with no charge. It might have been a part issue or a labor issue, and so in the beginning it was unclear whether we were going to have to pay for repairs right away. I would have been very disappointed if they had charged us, and have all the more confidence in them since they fixed it and stood by the work and warranty.

The only real negative was that sometimes when we had to make a decision, and the team gave us a quick "off the cuff" estimate about how much a few different options would cost, the estimate was really a fair amount lower than estimated. That contributed to some of our cost increase, but in the end I think we would have made the same decisions regardless. We're extremely happy with the final products. We even hired them again and they're starting work at my mother-in-laws house this week! I'm already dreaming of putting an addition on our house in the future, and we will hire them absolutely if/when we do this.

We are so glad we worked with Rouben and buildPROS for our renovations. His team opened up a load bearing wall in our older home and we love the results. The team was timely, the carpentry was excellent, and we also ended up under budget from the first quote. We will call Rouben again for our next project.

I took ownership of a multi-family home in disrepair. Needing everything, I decided to start with the exterior envelope of siding, windows, roof, and remodel of the front porch area. The contractor that was hired to do the exterior was less than professional, borderline criminal. I managed to complete the exterior with various other contractors, however the property still needed a full turnover of both bathrooms, the entire first floor unit, and some exterior hardscaping and concrete work. After that nightmare experience with the previous contractor for my exterior siding, roof, and windows, I was understandably hesitant to embark on another renovation project. However, my fears were quickly dispelled when we hired Rouben with buildPros for our interior renovation and some exterior demolition and concrete work. From start to finish, Rouben and his team exhibited a level of professionalism and expertise that was nothing short of remarkable.

I hired BuildPROS in 2021 to redo a kitchen, and then rehired them this year to redo our basement. I rehired them because I knew the result would be good.

I have not hired many contractors in my life so do not have many points of reference, but BuildPROS did the work to my satisfaction and I would trust them to do it again. Rouben cares to satisfy his customers (he knows it matters) and is experienced in this business.

Timelines slipped both times, but not egregiously. I suppose I expected them to slip.

Price wise, BuildPROS seem middle of the road. I paid more overall than I expected to both times but not by a huge margin.

The kitchen work was done while we were not living in the house yet, but we were living in the house while the basement work was carried out. I was annoyed that some of the workers kept leaving the door open even though it was winter - I told Rouben and he successfully made them close the doors from then on. In general communication was pretty good - Rouben was responsive and always helpful.

At the end of the basement work there were some little things that were not perfect (clearly not all the employees are perfectionists), but they fixed everything we asked for. It would be nice if I didn’t have to do that but it’s probably hard to predict what various customers will be nit picky about.

Rouben is also just easy to talk to and work with and that counts for a lot, makes any issues that come up so much easier to resolve. I give BuildPROS 5 stars.

Rouben and the buildPro team were wonderful and they created a stunning master bathroom for us that was beyond our expectations. Mike, the project manager was absolutely top-notch. They were there when they said they would be there, they took great care to protect the rest of the house from damage, and they were always conscientious and respectful. Dan, their tile guy was nothing short of amazing – exactly the kind of perfectionist tradesman you want on a job with an abundance of tile. The precision he used in wrapping our large subway tiles around several walls and corners is extraordinary.  Communication was excellent and when there were issues, they were always resolved promptly. The job ended up taking longer and was more expensive than we originally planned but that’s because we tweaked the design by adding a ton more tile than called for in the original design. We’re already talking to Rouben about remodeling our kitchen. Onto the next project!

We had a roof leak earlier this year and call Rouben and team. They came out immediately to assess the damage which ended up being more than initially thought. They were super helpful and worked with us step by step through the insurance claim process. We used them for another project last year and didn't hesitate to reach out again. It has been several years now and I can attest to the quality of the work and so far everything has held up very well, and I expect it to continue to do so. I hired buildPROS for a 203k project 8 years ago, which was a very time and budget sensitive project. buildPROS did a great job for me start to finish and was able to complete the project on time and on budget. Since then I have used buildPROS for other projects around the house including HVAC and some construction consulting for my own DIY work. I had Rouben and the team at Buildpros renovate the 2nd floor of my 1860 farm house in Wakefield RI. This consisted of a complete renovation of one bathroom, a partial renovation of a 2nd bathroom and ripping out some awful carpeting and refinishing the original wide-plank pine that was buried underneath. The whole project was a real challenge because the floors were really uneven and it came out great. The price was very reasonable (tied for the lowest among 3 bids), the quality was great, and Rouben's communication was fantastic. He always responds to questions/concerns, usually the same day. It is clear to me Rouben loves what he does and takes pride in his work.

"If you're looking for beautiful work, great guys to work with, and keeping costs down, you should hire buildPROS.

My mom owned her house for years, and after we had to move her into nursing care, we decided to remodel the place and rent it to pay for her care costs. The place had been neglected for years and required a complete remodeling, including new kitchen, bathrooms, deck, and completely redone interior. The big builders in the area quoted us astronomical prices and gave vague, crappy estimates. We were almost ready to give up until we called buildPROS.

Reuben listened carefully to our situation and quoted a cost 30% less than the other contractors. They have this great software they created themselves that gives you a specific line item estimate for every detail in the construction. Maybe this is why the final cost was within 1% of the original estimate, despite a number of challenges with the old house.

The guys were friendly, easy to work with, and really cared that everything was done just the way we wanted. We were inexperienced at remodeling and new to renting. Reuben made a number of excellent recommendations for cost effective materials and design choices that looked beautiful and would stand up to years of hard wear.

I had a great experience with the owner, Rouben, and his team. I found BuildPROS via a web search and reached out requesting quotes on several major projects at my parents home in Warwick. He responded within 24 hours and we made arrangements to meet at the house.

I walked him through the jobs we wanted done (new roof, new front porch, re-siding one side of the house and fixing all the rotting fascia). Rouben got back to me with estimates for all 3 jobs within a week. We discussed them over email a bit and then met in person to iron out some final details before I signed the contracts.

Throughout this entire process his communication was excellent. He would get back to me same-day about 99% of the time, but never more than 24 hours went by between an email/text I sent and a response.

On all 3 projects he delivered within 5% of his initial estimate. He provides quite detailed estimates up front, and any time his team hit a snag he came onsite to take a look at the issue and confer with me. For example, a few of the existing porch supports showed signs of rot, and all were missing joist hangers. He walked me through what he felt needed to be done quickly and quoted the additional amount (and also came in under his estimate on it) to address the issues to meet code.

His teams did excellent work on all 3 projects. It's a bit nerve-wracking when you hire someone to do major work on someone else's house using their money, but he made the whole process incredibly easy and the team did very, very high quality work. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for and BuildPROS was worth every penny we spent. We plan to hire them for several additional projects at the house, and I'd recommend Rouben and his team with zero reservations.

We had originally hired someone else for this project and after several months of poor communication, they stopped responding entirely. I called a few other places and everyone was so excited for the work but then didn't call back or show up. I used buildPROS to help with a kitchen remodel and general update of a house I bought in Providence. Rouben and his team, especially his expert carpenter, John, did an amazing job repurposing custom cabinetry from another kitchen to complete remake the kitchen in this house. With Rouben's advice, it was transformed from a non-functional 1960's kitchen with 1980's Pizza Hut-style accents into a modern, beautiful kitchen. His crew also helped to refurbish living space in the basement to make it bright and welcoming. I was impressed with the responsiveness and professionalism of the entire crew. High-quality work done quickly!

Had buildPROS replace a structural wall with a beam to expand our kitchen. The longest part of the process was waiting for permit approval. Booking them was painless and easy as they were responsive and great communicators.

We hired BuildPros to manage and construct a one of kind mixed use commercial building in Providence RI that took 2 years to complete in 2 different phases. It was a very complicated project that started from demolition to excavation/shoring and construction. Not only did it get completed on time for each phase but that was done during the most unprecedented historic pandemic this world has seen in a century. Rouben, owner, managed this project personally and was in constant motion to make sure that this project was run smoothly with constant reporting. Rouben was always available and in constant contact throughout the 2 years of this project. One thing that is key is constant communication and planning. In construction that is extremely rare to be available and finish on time. I would strongly recommend BuildPros for your projects if you want them to run smoothly. If not then choose someone else.

I had an HVAC tech do my oil-to-gas conversion but the system would never run for more than a couple days without stopping with error codes. After a couple weeks of the tech trying to figure out the problem, I decided to call someone else.

BuildPros came when every other company I called was either too busy with a waiting list or too apathetic ("Oh, our office staff have gone home for the day.") They were able to schedule a time with me even when I came home from work in the early evening.

They came the next morning to service my system and worked in a non-invasive manner while in my house. They gave me such a detailed and knowledgeable breakdown of the problems of my system that was on a level much higher than I have ever experienced with home maintenance personnel.

I Had a great experience dealing with Buildpros. I needed to find a general contractor right away because My offer to buy a house that require a rehab loan or (203k loan) was accepted but the bank only gives you a short time to have a detailed estimate and lots of paperwork from your license contractor, we contacted some general contractors before Ruben and had no luck hearing back from them and the few that responded only came to see the project and probably didn’t have the experience dealing with this type of loan, once I contacted Buildpros Ruben was very helpful and professional to complete all the paper work and bank requirements .As soon I the work started you could tell he has a great team ,they did a great job and and was completed on time had no issues communicating with Ruben he responded right away ,once the job was completed my wife and I were very satisfied with the finish work on whole project (bathroom and kitchen remodel,flooring, drywall replacement ,handrails ,furnace and central air) highly recommend Buildpros.

Rouben was excellent to work with. His prices were reasonable and transparent. The folks that did the work were kind and great at explaining things and asking us before doing anything that veered from the original plan. We were able to text and email Rouben and he responded promptly. He came by daily to inspect the progress and check in with us. Although BuildPros mostly does larger projects, Rouben does a great job with small remodels too. We're thrilled with the results and would recommend his company to anyone in the area.

We remodeled our small bath and Rouben was really responsive about a quote. They were able to address all of my big concerns (the floor around the toilet was uneven and the bathtub needed to be completely gutted). He was always a text away, gave design suggestions but ultimately let me realize my vision, and came in right around his original estimate. We even were able to add a built in shelf and herringbone pattern tile. They came back a few days later to touch up tiny details to make sure I was completely satisfied. Would highly recommend and use them again for future projects. Oh, and they’re dog friendly and my dog is a MONSTER. One of them even brought her snausages.

I chose Buildpro after read all reviewing at google and yelp review. It end up very ugly. I was very disappointed to Rouben. I worked with this guy to permitting. He charged $1600 for only permitting, and additional one kitchen cabinet take out charged $800 and charged many small things in every steps. Floor plan has many mistakes. It updated several times, but still not correct. Once he received all the money, then he changed, and did not submit the floor plan for permitting, until I agree to pay more for additional works, which was not discussed at the beginning. He charge every small things expensive. Simple floor plan took 4 weeks, he said he will submit the city permit, then take all the money, then did not submit it and ask more money for additional works. I quit. I hire another GC to finish the work. Non responsive, Very unprofessional. Never want to work with this guy again

My project was the full replacement of the wind damaged roof for a large 6000+ sq. ft home. The added complexity for me was, my tenant was in moving out and I live in a completely different state 10 hrs. driving distance so I called Rouben and requested him to give me the estimates urgently.

Rouben was extremely professional, cooperative and very understanding with the overall situation. He gave me the detailed estimation of work, worked around my tenant’s move out timeline and got the whole roof done in just 3 days. Over and above, he completed the project $1k less than his original estimation. In addition, he did few additional fixes needed to the roof and windows as well.

In my 25+ years of working with the contractors, I never had such an amazing experience. So I strongly recommend Rouben and buildPROS for any roof replacement or home improvement work. He will be the most honest, cost conscious and highly reliable contractor and will get the job done in time.

The project we had commissioned with Rouben and his team was an egress window for my basement bedroom. Rouben and his team were very professional, they arrived on time, they cleaned up after themselves and the project was finished on budget. When we first started in Real Estate Investing we met Rouban and Build Pros at a Real Estate Investing Group.
