These guys are the real deal folks. A few years back our newly purchased house had a mice problem. We were given quotes for sealing and doing some insulation that were so expensive. We did the sealing and held off on insulation until this winter when our heat distribution was terrible.

Enter Ken and Tyler from building energy experts. I could tell from the moment they showed up how thorough they were. Ken explained things SO well and pointed out several weak points that were contributing to our issues.

Anthony the owner followed up with a quote that was not only reasonable, they had gone through the trouble of taking off rebates that they knew would be covered by our gas company. This was certainly never mentioned by their other companies much less actually applied in a quote.

Day of service the guys showed up early and were ready to go. Dave, Tito, Jason and Tyler were incredibly thorough and efficient and it was a bigger job once they got into our weird old house and realized the full scope of the project. Again they explained everything so well and truly went ABOVE AND BEYOND! We feel so grateful to have found this company!

We have them do are attic insulation done and they were really professional and clean and did a great job, great price.

We also had our attic sealed and insulated this past week by Building Energy Experts and we were extremely pleased and impressed with the quality of work, the professionalism from Dave, Ken, Tito and the rest of the team. They were very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions at the start and throughout the project. All of the work was done within the time that Dave estimated and they were very thorough in cleaning after themselves and at the end of the job. I would highly recommend them- they are clearly experts in sealing and insulation.

We just had our attic sealed and insulated this past week. We were impressed with the quality of work and how considerate the entire team was that came out for the job. Everyone is extremely knowledgeable and skilled. We knew we were in good hands from the beginning with Anthony came out for the quote and how responsive he was with follow up questions. Not only do we highly recommend them, we are looking forward to having them back to insulate the basement after we make sure it's watertight.

We just had our attic and crawl space insulated and a moisture barrier put in. The crew showed up on time and every one of them was polite and professional. We could tell they had a lot of experience working together because they were super organized. While the boss, Dave, walked us through the process in detail, making sure we understood the job, behind him the crew set up quickly and efficiently, treating our home with respect. They were finished right on time, too, and left our house looking as if they had never been there. Before they left, Dave showed us their work and explained how these improvements would make our home more energy efficient. Every crew member made sure to say goodbye to us. They were amazing people! Very responsive and well trained in their industry. I am more than happy with the first phase of a 2 part project taking place in my home. Living in a house built in 1958 and being a "cape cod" floor plan, energy efficiency is a large challenge to say the very least.
B.E.E. understood my needs immediately. Upon approval and scheduling the project because of a reasonable estimate, I was completely impressed by the professionalism of the team of technicians.
All work completed quickly and each person on site were pleasant and just happy to be doing their job which, each knew what theirs was and went right to it!

Phase 2 of project completed 04/29 and once more, the B.E.E. team shows up with a purpose and gets right to it.
Phase 2 is blown in insulation into a very tight attic which included attic chute extensions, chimney heat deflection wrap and, sealing all openings.
By all appearances, at least 14 1/2" of cellulose was evenly distributed.
It's the team of people involved in these projects that really makes the difference.
They are NOT doing easy work but, go about it professionally and can literally be compared to well organized ants gathering necessities.
They are just that GREAT at what they do!

I must thank all involved and am particularly happy with Anthony keeping an open communication line throughout the whole process and Dave explaining and demonstrating the procedure from start to finish.

We hired Building Energy Experts to add attic insulation and air seal our 30 year old home. Anthony did a great job in terms of explaining everything his company would do and why they take the approach that they do. Of all the estimates we had received, Building Energy Experts was the only one that partners with Nicor for energy rebates.

When Dave and his crew arrived to do the work, Dave explained everything in detail and supervised the team. They did a great job!

I am not a customer but the company surely treated me like one. For logistical reasons pertaining to my situation, this time I could not go with Building Energy Experts. However, under different circumstances or another time that may work in the future, I would surely consider hiring them. Upon my making a call to inquire about services that I may need, they were very informative and went above and beyond with the information provided. I learned alot more about ERVs and can better take next steps. The company seemed concerned about my problem.

Awesome Service and Reasonably priced!! This is what professional service looks like. Ken and his team showed up on time….actually they showed up early. As the work was being conducted, he brought me out to see them in action and gave me an overview of what they are doing. The cleanup was excellent as well. Lastly, they gave me discount for my military service which shows that they support their troops!

Anthony, the owner, came out and gave us an estimate for insulating our attic and sealing our ductwork in the attic. He went up in the attic and inspected it before giving an estimate. Other companies just gave us general estimates without looking at the attic. Anthony gave us several options and explained the pros and cons of the options. He gave us a detailed estimate. They came out on the appointed day and time. They were professional and explained what they were doing at each step. When they were finished, they cleaned up before leaving. We would highly recommend them.

Good people, good price and good work. They arrived on time and worked quickly. They discovered an issue in our attic and brought it to my attention rather than just blowing insulation over it. They had no problem stopping the job and coming back after I had the issue fix. I appreciated their knowledge and flexibility.

Anthony and his team were very easy to work with. They were professional, on-time and finished my attic re-insulation project very quickly. They had all of the old attic insulation removed by lunch, sealed up the gaps and can lights in the attic and let me inspect the space before putting the new insulation back in the attic. They cleaned up after themselves and addressed any questions I had during the process.

Fantastic company! From Anthony all the way down the line. Came out for a quote, gave us a ton of useful information, priced very reasonably, and even assured me they would be done in time for my toddler’s nap time. I really can’t say enough good things about the quality and professionalism of this group. Everyone was friendly and very hard working. After they expertly insulated my attic we have had quantifiably successful results through monitoring our temperature, energy usage, and HVAC usage. We are saving a lot of money and our furnace is only running a fraction of the time due to how efficiently the upstairs is keeping it’s heat now. I am very glad we found these guys. Thanks again!

These guys did a great job, and gave me a great price. They always explained everything very thoroughly. Attic insulation job for 100+ year old house.

They are unreliable. They give an estimate then decide that they are going to play games and finally just not do the work. Very unprofessional group. They made me buy supplies for this job, showed up at my house during winter, then said there is too much snow on the ground and thery can't do the work. In Spring and Summer they said they were busy and unavailable to do this job. Finally I went with some other company that could get the job done. These guys are all talk and no walk.

EDIT - Commenting on Owner's reply below: I thought that is why you were called to fix that problem in my attic? Isn't that what you do, fix rodent leftover (cleanup / add new insulation)? We had already taken care of Rodent infestation by calling a Wildlife Extraction company who extracted the squirrels out and sealed our roof so this won't happen again. My home is perfectly habitable, not sure where you got that from. You also never made this comment when you accepted to complete this job, but then decided you were too busy and couldn't do it, due to your lame incompetence. The statement below shows what kind of an amateur company you are.

Had old insulation removed and replaced with new cellulose insulation, gaps sealed and disinfectant sprayed in attic. Excellent job from Anthony coming out and explaining everything to Dave and the crew getting the job done. Great pricing, would highly recommend

Building Energy Experts did a great job reinsulating my daughters home. We had pulled out the 60 year old attic insulation and had made many new mechanical installations to the house. BEE foamed every penetration and blew in R-48 cellulose. Their house was warm and toasty this past winter and they couldn't believe how low the gas bills where. Definately recommend BEE.

Anthony and his crew were knowledgeable, extremely professional and courteous. They did a great job at a competitive price and I highly recommend them for your insulation needs. Due to bad weather, they had to work under extreme conditions. They got the job done in a very clean and competent manner. We appreciate their work and would call on them again.

We first used Building Energy Experts when we bought an old home. Had them blow in insulation to select parts of the home. Our home stays warm in the winter and cool in the summer despite having a sub par furnace. Has saved us a lot of money over the years in energy bills so had them come out to add insulation to a new addition to our home.

Most recently had them come to add spray foam in the ceiling above my drum studio. While it maybe costly, its the best sound insulation you can add to your home studio.

My wife and I just moved to Naperville into an older home. We were coming from a new build so the first thought was if the home was wasting energy. They came out and did an energy assessment on our home and phone just a couple of issues, but these couple of issues have saved us over $75 per month. We looked at what our first few months were vs after they came out. Main issues were windows and attic insulation. Has saved us what we paid in only a few months. We highly recommend Building Energy Experts, especially if you are in an older home.

I purchased a heat pump and air conditioning system from this company. After just 3 years the system started to malfunction but Building Energy Experts refused to come out and service it. I had to call another heating & air conditioning company who determined that the system had been mis-wired. I also found out that Building Energy Experts had mis-matched two major components of the system which cased the premature failure of the compressor. The compressor and other major parts now need to be replaced because of their incompetence. When I brought this situation to their attention, they refused to do anything. They need to change their name to Building Energy Incompetents so people will know what kind of work they do.
