Highly recommended!! I only gave five stars because I couldn’t give six!!! This man is a hero to our family!! He exemplifies Professionalism and empathy. He is a wealth of knowledge, available to you, trustworthy, kind and he is an all around great guy. If you find yourself in need of high quality workmanship , Leon is a skilled jack of all trades. He always makes you feel like a priority. He knows the ins and out of the business and is very thorough and responsive. If you need home improvement in central MA you do you would be doing a disservice to yourself by not contacting Leon Buckley of Buckley Home improvement.

It is my not-so-humble opinion that the measure of a person's character isn't necessarily whether or not things go right, but how they handle it when things go wrong. In this regard, Leon Buckley and his company have shown nothing but exceptional character.

We were trying to sell our condo, and came across a problem with not having a permit for the finished basement. After some back-and-forth with the building inspector, we decided to bring everything up to code rather than tear out the finished basement. This also involved putting in an egress window, which involved cutting the concrete foundation. It also involved the time constraint of doing all these items within four weeks before closing, including getting the building permit.

Buckley Home Improvement came in with a detailed quote for significantly less than what another contractor quoted. So, we signed the contract and got started. Everything went according to plan and schedule.

On a Thursday, he was supposed to have a subcontractor dig the hole so the following Monday the Concrete Cutting Company could cut the hole for the window. The sub showed up and dug part of the hole, and then left. He was going to "finish the hole on Friday". No-show / No-call. Called Leon, and he got to the bottom of it. Sub is going to come out Saturday and finish. Saturday comes, again no-call / no-show from the Subcontractor. Called Leon. Within an hour, Leon and his assistant were there digging the hole. Asked him about it, and the guy said he was going to "come on Sunday" to finish the hole, and Leon told him to forget about it.

Leon didn't make this problem into my problem. Leon got the work done. No slip in schedule. No excuses. He made it happen.

Come last Friday, and a bunch of his crew "called out sick". Leon worked the entire day, alone, in the basement, by himself. Again, no slip in schedule.

We are three days away from the closing on the sale of our house. Leon and his main guy (name withheld to protect the innocent or something like that) are currently downstairs sanding the drywall mud, and are hoping to put paint on later this afternoon. We are hoping for Final Inspection tomorrow.

Leon and his team have done nothing but kick butt for us on our project, even under the gun. He's given us good updates on the work, and the building inspections necessary, and the timelines.

I would definitely recommend Buckley Home Improvement for any future contracting or construction needs.
